I don't think I will ever utilize Quest again if I can help it. I had need of a routine blood panel and also to pick up a specimen kit for my little girl. It seems pick up and drop off should be simple, but to be safe I tried calling the lab to ask if I needed an appointment to pick up the kit. The system has no option to speak to a human. Literally. If you press 0 the response is, "I understand you'd like to speak to a representative, HOWEVER xyz." Very unhelpful. So I made an appointment and waited for 30 minutes past my appt time before I had to leave to go back to work. I did that not once, but twice. Two attempts on two different days just to pick up a kit. You would think I could've just asked a person at the clinic whether they were able to give me a kit, but no. Quest has revamped their model so that you are completely blocked off from any interaction with a human until they call you back. There is no window to speak with anyone. Just tv screens and a fogged door. And even once you're back, there are no check out counters any longer. It's only phlebotomists and the phlebotomists are expected to handle your insurance information, etc. When I got in for my routine bloodwork this morning and asked if she'd be able to give me a kit while I was there, she said no because she's only allowed 10 minutes with each patient and that would take longer than 10 minutes. It feels like a complete factory in there. The worst part is the tv in the waiting room that plays a series of messages. Every 5 min or so it played a message that if you're blind or visually impaired, you can swipe 3 fingers across the check in screen or something like that. Don't you think that if a patient is visually impaired they're going to be able to navigate that clinic without access to guidance from a staff member? They're just going to stand in the waiting room until that TV message comes back around? Thats not accessibility. This business model is gross. After I left this morning I called Advent Health outpatient labs and within 2 min was on the phone with a human being who told me to just pop by to pick up the kit and pop in when it's ready for drop off. SO SIMPLE. I'll be using them exclusively moving forward. If companies ever wonder why businesses like Advent are so prevalent, this is why. I scheduled my annual biometrics screening at this location for a 7:30 am slot this morning. I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment and signed in so very easily using their electronic device up at the front. There are two available. The screens were big and clear and the instructions were straightforward. It was only maybe 2 minutes until the gentleman at the window called me back to the first desk behind the door. He briefly confirmed who I was and let me know what they would be doing today- blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference and blood draw. I took another seat in a second smaller waiting room. About 7:36 am is when a lovely lady called me back. I wish I had gotten her name because she was awesome! My appointment was super quick, but we fit in some casual, fun conversation. I want to give everyone a head's up- if you come to this location and a petite woman with the most amazing dark curly hair and an island accent calls you back, you are in luck, my Friend. I swear she was like an angel. I don't MIND getting my blood drawn, but it isn't my most favorite thing to do. She found my vein super quick.... I literally did not feel ANYTHING. I've had some terrible past experiences, but this lady deserves an award. I would highly suggest this location for anyone. read more

Easily made and paid for a lab draw appointment online. I showed up early, went inside and checked in. Within minutes I was called up to confirm my information. Then not even a minute passed and I was asked to an exam room. Tourniquet, alcohol swab and blood draw within 1 minute. Daniel was so fast!!! Got my cotton swab taped on and I was done. So simple. So easy. Social distancing precautions being observed. Floor clearly marked and chairs widely spaced. Five stars for: Courteous service, allowing me to come 45 min early and get served right away, providing a safe environment, Respecting my privacy, and being great with a needle (but, I do have good veins). read more

This is the best "we'll-stick-a-needle-in-your-arm-draw-your-blood-and- have-you-pee-in-a-cup" establishment you can possibly imagine - it is right in line with my previous experience about 6 months ago (but I'm not sure why I didn't write a review!) Young man who's busy working but took the time to look up, acknowledge you as a fellow human-being, greeting you warmly with a smile? Unheard of in this day and age, right? You'll find it here! I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in on one of the couple of stations they have (easy-piecey), and right on my appointment time, was directed to the secondary area, where after checking in with a human, I sat in that rather crowded waiting room. The wait there was between 5-7 minutes, at which time Lola called my name. She, too, is friendly, and EFFICIENT! Even though I've had needle pokes that were less painful, the way she works with both hands while inserting different tubes and applying labels to each was a juggling act that's awesome to behold! I gave her and the whole experience a sparkling endorsement. I'm not sure if all Quest locations are like that, or even whether everyone at this location is as good (although, judging from other recent reviews, the answer seems to be in the affirmative), but THIS experience is exemplary. I am 7 months pregnant and I had to do a three hour glucose tolerance test. I was hungry and tired from fasting and having insomnia the night before, and morning sickness prior to the test. (Pregnancy... am I right?!?) In case you don't know, for this test you can't eat, you have to drink a nasty drink, and you have to have your blood drawn 4 times. My blood was taken by Lissette, and she was not only an expert in her field; she was so kind and helpful explaining the process to me. I have very difficult to find rolling veins. She didn't miss. She talked to me through the process which made me feel so comfortable. Despite this particular location not having a room for me to lay down in. She found one for me. I was able to relax and put my feet up in a comfortable chair. Other staff members who I wasn't even a patient of checked on me. Kishara got me some water, and Vanyce stopped by to make sure I was comfortable. I really appreciate these ladies more than I can say. Their care and kindness makes me emotional to think about. Quest, I hope you understand how blessed you are to have these women!! They make your brand! If I/my family ever needs lab work in the future, as long as they are here, we will come here too. I've been going to this location for many years, I had an appointment last week, & the night before my appt., I received an email saying your upcoming appt., on so & so date has been canceled due to building maintenance, we apologize for the inconvenience? I went up there anyway, thinking that it might be a mistake & sure enough, there was not one car in the parking lot. I came back home made another appt. for next Tuesday, August 3rd, & just received the same notice, that the appt. has again been canceled due to building maintenance. Im wondering whats going on? I cannot connect with a live human to see whats going on?? Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know whats going on? Ok, so let's be honest here! No one likes to go get lab work done... but with that being said, I have to say this place is always organized and the flow of the place goes well from check in time, wait time, then lab work, no matter how slow or busy it is. But what makes this place review worthy for me, is a certain lady by the name of Judy. She is the most friendliest, and most joyful person I have met!! She explains to me what I'm getting done, and is always full of smiles! Whenever I get my blood drawn, it is rare for nurses to find my veins, so I usually get pricked and probed, and then it just hurts and doesn't make for a good experience...But not with Judy!!! She just magically sees my veins and I barely feel the needle. Not only that, but she also likes to hum... I swear every time that I go there now, I don't even mind going, because her humming is so soothing, and relaxing, i just close my eyes, and feel like I'm totally somewhere else having some kind of a spa therapy. read more

Went today for a drug screening and the attendant that escorted me to back said I was walking too slow, no consideration or people skills.. maybe she should be more empathetic. I don't have to tell her my medical history why I couldn't walk fast. Then I gave her back the pee cup and she asked why I had to pee all over the cup.. I didn't really believe there were people out there that were so rude. I wanted to complain today on 12/10/2018.. but everyone needs a job, I just hope this review gets to them and they are more professional and considerate. Please also be more patient with all the people that come in, everyone has their health issues. I'm not elderly and I look healthy but that does not take away the fact that people need to be rude. read more

Yesterday I had to have a 3 hour glucose test done. I had already attempted the test at the Altamonte location and had a horrible experience. The Longwood location was much cleaner and the staff were very nice. I was a walk in but didn't have to wait more than 30 minutes to be called to the back. Amy J was the woman who drew my blood over the course of my test. She was extremely pleasant and gentle. If I ever have to do this horrid test again, I will make sure Amy is working! We made an appointment for our 8 year old daughter to have her blood drawn and didn't have to wait long at all, 15-20 min. The staff was friendly and understanding. We called the day before to inquire about a device used on kids when getting their blood drawn, "Quiggles", and thank goodness they had it!! The vibration around their arm distracts them from the procedure. Lisa Cox was the nurse attending our daughter and she was wonderful!! Funny, gentle and patient. We were so grateful because I think we were more nervous than our daughter was, so thank you Lisa, for easing our fears!! read more

I needed to get drug tested for a new job..when I arrived no one was the front desk..4 minutes waiting a lady saw me and didn't even greeted me..10 minutes go by and I ask her if anyone was going to help me, she gave me this look like I was bothering her.
