Office experience. Customer service is horrible. When you first walk in you need to check in on the Kiosko and if you don't know like the elderly there is no in the counters to assist. They act have them covered up with this long tall grey boards. Then you request assistance and they tell you they are with a patient and when they are done with patient they don't approach you to ask what it is you need help w they just ignore you and move on to the next patient in screen. So inconsiderate especially because most of the people there are elderly. I literally stood by the door of the back lab and wait for someone to come out and ask her. I stood in front of her and she called out the patients name before she even looked at me. It's called quality of care. read more

I felt like the staff was unprofessional. I would ask a question and it seemed like they would talk around it or ignore me. The lead didn't even want to talk to me for whatever reason. Also they kept assuming I had medical and I didn't. To be completely honest with you I felt like they are biased . Working in the healthcare field you should truly listen to what your patients are saying and help them . Today was the most difficult day. Got my blood drawn here, made an appointment on the quest app/online and checked in at 3 for my appointment and got seen at 3:10 right at my appointment time. This place may be small but the staff here takes care of you right away. They are on it! Also they do a great job when it comes down to poking you with the needle. I didn't feel anything and was super fast! Staff is really nice and helpful. I don't know why everyone gives them a bad rating. I been here two times in the same week and got taken care of right away. I will definitely be coming here for all my future blood work. Make an appointment so you can be seen right away. read more

Truly only of the most intentionally poorly run companies out there. Nobody works at the front desk, nobody answers the phones, very intentionally so you can't ask questions. The only people who care are the employees, who are caught between their patients and incompetent management, by design of said management. I always make an appointment and never had any issues. They are all very kind and efficient. I'm a hard stick and my veins roll, but they have never had to poke me more than once and never hurt. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention their names on here. But one of the ladies, her name starts with an R, she always makes me laugh. Worst experience ever. I can tolerate a line, but waiting over 2 hours in their small (and dirty) waiting room for my blood to be drawn is unacceptable. There is no friendly customer service at this facility and there was no apology made to those of us who were in the waiting room. And we all made appointments online! I came here for my 16 week pregnancy lab work. I normally go to Sharp labs but for whatever reason they sent me to quest. Upon finding the lab it was a fairly easy check in. Very straightforward. However, once I was taken back, my lab technician would not stop coughing. She did have a mask, but she was very very loud and would not stop coughing and kept having to take water breaks. There was no other lab technician. when it came to my blood draw, I know my veins are not very easy. She set everything up and right about when she was gonna poke me she started coughing again and again. Where she had to take off her gloves, step away, come back re-sanitize, and try again. She poked my right arm and no blood came out, she wiggled the needle back and forth, and was fishing for my veins with no avail. I had to tell her to stop because of the pain and how long my arm was already tightened with the band around it. she tried my left arm and immediately found a vein. There should be more lab technicians at this office. It was very unprofessional to have one that was very sick and could not stop coughing in front of all the patients. They should also not be fishing for veins, now, my arms are very bruised instead of her, just looking on the left arm to begin with read more

I have to complain about what happen this morning regards with my Mom's appointment @ Quest Diagnostic @ National City the zip code 91950. It's very upsetting & we're not happy with the service. My Mom is 86y.o I made an appointment @ 10:10am & they called @ 10:30 am it's very late & it's not acceptable, one of the personnel said they called my Mom's name but we don't heard and beside were setting in front of their door they're such a liar what's the point making an appointment & they don't see the patient on time it's ok for 5 mins. late to be called but they should say "SORRY" they're very unprofessional and they should speak louder so we can heard they're voice. Very disappointed and upsetting!!! My Mom had an appointment there, scheduled it on their automated calling system, and they didn't find her appointment on their system. It was crowded, overbooked and understaffed!!! People with set appointments were waiting for an hour to be seen, wow! What's the use of setting appointments if they can't meet them. There is no receptionists to answer people's questions!!! Their waiting area looks like those of a third world country and doesn't have enough seats for their clients. Many people were standing... Checked in 15 minutes before my appointment time of 11:10 am. Called in at 11:35. 25 minutes late. I asked why it took so long, the phlebotomist said they only had two people working. One for walk ins and one for appointments. Signs clearly state "appointments clearly take priority over walk ins" . I personally watched the sign showing my appt. This Quest location is wonderful. We had an issue with the quest up in Bonita/East Lake not being open when it said it would be. Our daughter is immunocompromised and needed a time sensitive lab drawn. When I called this location in national city they were kind and assured me they could take care of us quickly. My husband drove out there with our daughter and they were courteous, helpful, quick and efficient in getting her levels all drawn. So grateful for the customer service this location showed us. read more

Second time I came in! First time I was here 15 mins before my appointment and I waited 47 mins for them to call me back and not have my labs. Not having the labs was my doctors fault but the wait, they need to work on that. Today my appointment was at 9:20, here 10 mins early and now past ten o'clock and still not called back. This is frustrating! I expect some wait time but when people come in after me, 20 mins , 30 mins after me and they are called back? 10:27 got my blood drawn. I ask what happened, I went to the restroom after waiting 40 mins and my name got deleted. Funny, not funny is when I got out the restroom I ask if they called my name. You can easily make an appointment online and I read on their website before hand they're located behind a taco shop so when I saw the taco shop I just turned in behind it and there it was! Convoluted Phone System Update: Thanks to the Patient Advocate who contacted me, I now have my lab results. She was very efficient and professional. However, their website is still a disaster and needs some legitimate phone numbers/email contacts for such situations. This could improve their reviews on Yelp. Had a good experience at the clinic, but their phone system is a nightmare. No live person answers the phone. When you finally get through to someone, after numerous tries, they tell you you have to wait 7 days to get your results because you live in the state of California. Say what? This place is horrible. 1st experience here coming with my wife for a glucose tolerance exam. I took a seat in the waiting room and next to me there's a ziplock bag with hygiene products and a pair of freaking boxers. What kind of place is this. 2nd I told the lady behind the counter about the bag and boxers and she just looks at me like I'm stupid. If I was a jerk, I would have smacked her with the dirty boxers for disregarding what I told her. 3rd. I went into restroom because my bladder was about to burst with urine. As soon as I walk into the restroom I immediately want to vomit. It smelled like dirty rotten vagina. And they didn't even have soap inside the bathroom. This is suppose to be a medical office. After reading all the bad reviews, I was not looking forward to going to Quest. I made an appointment as was recommended by many people. When I arrived I was greeted right away and helped immediately. As a bonus the phlebotomist got a vein on the first try! The waiting room is very clean and has a lot of seating available. Making an appoinment online is much better! It is faster. This place always gets busy almost everyday so yeah if you don't want to wait for more than an hour, appoinment is highlt recommended. I feel bad for the older people who has no knowledge in using computer or internet on their smartphones, they wait there for so long. Coming early to get your blood test done is better. Staff are ok. They sometime get a bit mean or with attitude, I guess their stress level starts to get high when they see all the patients waiting to get their testing done. The place is clean. POOR SERVICE!!! My grandpa was a walk-in so I signed his name on the waiting list at 9 am. Note that he was #36. Waited until 10:30 and checked the list again and they were on #32. So I thought to myself great 4 more. Continued to wait and it was already 11:00 and more people started being called so I was like what's going on??
