No seriously! This is a unbelievable experience to draw your blood and do all the test. I recommend this place because they are quick and professional! The staff are nice and experienced so they know what they are doing. I got my blood drawn today and omg, that was a quick service and she was so nice because I don't like looking at my blood drawn on the tube and she consulted me that, "it's going to be okay!" Literally she made me feel safe and I didn't feel any pain! It was a quick service! It's a welcoming experience and the receptionist is also very cool too! Very bad experience. There was no one in the room when I came. Went to find someone and heard the sound of people playing games and laughing but no one was responding to me. Finally got attended by Samantha, but she was very cold and impolite. When I asked her if I need to take off my coat, she answered "you haven't got blood drawn before? Yes I am going to draw your blood through your coat" with a very condescending tone. Ignored my questions of how many tubes of blood will be drawn , and then put on her gloves by touching the tip and middle part of the gloves. Honestly the most unprofessional quest experience I've ever encountered. I waited in front for five minutes (i was the only person in the whole waiting room) while one of the workers continuously passed by and would look at me but would ignore the fact that I was waiting for help. I then had to step to the back and ask for her help. She was extremely rude and instead of helping customers that are confused, it felt like she was reprimanding. It was such an uncomfortable experience. The reason I gave two stars instead of one was another worker helped me after the initial lady and the second worker was much nicer and actually helpful. read more

Absolutely awful customer service and uniformed staff who are unable to assist you if the information is not in the system. I scheduled an appointment and filled out the wellness pre assessment and was told that I couldn't be seen because the information wasn't in the computer. The pre assessment included very basic information about weight, height and personal habits that easily could have been recorded in the healthcare setting but I guess not. Making excuses and increasing the difficulty of patients to get healthcare advice or test results is pathetic. read more

I've been here a few times already. They are open on Sundays. The staff are wonderful, pleasant and professional. The office is clean, has a lot of room to accommodate everyone with or without an appointment. I highly suggest to make an appointment. I don't think the wait is long if you don't have an appointment. When I was there last, the patient without an appointment was waiting before I signed in but the patient was after me because I had an appointment. So it might not be long without an appointment but schedule an appointment is highly recommended. read more

Horrible horrible- stay away. They still use a fax, prescriptions all over the floor with sensitive information and it runs out of paper. So that means missing prescriptions! I cannot express enough how messy, mismanaged and unsanitary this place appears. Would you trust them to take your blood? I would not and walked out. A Horror Show from the beginning to the end. Phones calls are not returned nor are they listened to, people are rude and they had the fax numbers to our doctors incorrect and no matter how many times we asked them to fix the number they would not do so. Our opinion is that this lab is so incompetent that it should not be doing business. Warning...stay away from this lab. read more

Went for blood work today ( 2/15/22) at 8AM. The building and the office of Quest was spotless and very COVID safe-distancing in the elevators and line outside the Quest office.. Large waiting room with a maximum of 8 people allowed at one time- plenty of space for social distancing and hand sanitizer. The technician opened the door exactly at 8 AM and already had my appointment teed up via the Quest Diagnostics phone app to check-in and sign-in. Was out in 10 minutes. Very gracious service. By the time I exited, the maximum 8 people already filled the room. read more

I'm so happy I chose this location as there were low ratings across all QD locations in Manhattan. I came in at 10am on a weekday and was seen in 10 minutes. The receptionist, William, was extremely nice and respectful. It is pretty empty in the mornings on weekdays. Not sure about weekends. The office itself is clean and spacious, which is a plus. My worst worry is always waiting two hours at a medical place. It did not happen here luckily :-) read more

I'm here with my boy friend, he came to get blood work done. The appt was for 12:45 pm and we came 10 mins early , it is now 1:16 and we are still waiting. It's ridiculous. The fact that they're open on a Saturday maybe the reason why they're running so behind. But point is they should be on top of it, ESP if one is driving in etc. They just called his name so that's a 30 min wait. They need to work on this aspect of the clinic. read more

I can't find any of my reviews. I posted two in 2019. This is not a review of the Chinatown office but simply a recommendation that you fix the office up with a scanner. Appointment confirmations use the scan codes. Many patients do not know English and a simple scanner machine would solve the problem. read more

The guy from the Quest Diagnostics on Centre Street sent me here after telling me that he couldn't perform the appointment I'd made online because it was for a 4-hour glucose test and the Centre Street location closes for lunch at noon. (Would have been nice if they'd noted hours online when I made my appointment, but whatever.) It's the middle of July in Chinatown. At 9 a.m., it was already 85 degrees out. There was no air conditioning. Did I mention I was there for a 4-HOUR TEST? I turned around and walked out. (So, y'know, I can't comment on the quality of their blood draws, but I can say that several people were waiting, and there was nobody at the front desk. I hope the people waiting got helped after I left - many of them were elderly, and it was balls hot in there.) read more

Unprofessional and inconsiderate staff that had wait times in excess of an hour with an appointment. The facility was not clean.

My mother went to the 41 Elizabeth St lab to get a cup to bring home for my dad for a urine sample. Given his cancer situation and COVID-19, he did not want to go in person. The worker at the lab was shockingly rude to my mom. They were impatient when she was slow to answer about the type of test. They didn't ask for my dad's name so they could look the info up. They gave her a cup (no bag or label) and when she said she'd bring it back right away, they dismissively said they didn't care and it didn't matter. This was so distressing to my mother. I know from past experience that lab tends to be rude to the elderly immigrants who don't speak English well but this is ridiculous. That is poor customer service and extremely poor training or hiring practices from Quest. Quest needs to address this situation if they value patient advocacy and patient care principles. read more

I am not sure why someone would give these guys a bad review. They were just so AMAZING. William and the African American gentleman were awesome. They respected the fact that my wife was fasting and ensured they did the time spaced tests on time. The latter of the two seemed a tad more experienced as he was able to find the difficult vein on my wife's left hand. Thanks man! Parking is expensive as anywhere in NYC. There's a paid parking place right opposite to the building if you are willing to shell out that extra cash. Street parking is metered and 3 fiddy an hour. And talk about the options to break your fast in this restaurant riddled part of Chinatown. We stopped by at Banh mi Saigon which is like a block away for their heavenly barbecue pork sandwiches and topped it up with a beet juice from a nearby juice bar. read more

There is no receptionist here. You stand and wait for 15 minutes or so in the foyer waiting for someone to notice you and attend to you, being ignored by various nurses in the process, until you finally have to stop someone yourself to be helped. And the person who finally 'handles' you is very cold and short with you, at least in my experience. I wish the people who worked here received customer service training. read more

I was hesitant to go here based on the reviews here but I took my chances and it was great! I didn't even sit for 3 minutes before I was called in (I had an apt). Tracy is who took my blood & she's actually a nurse for over 20 years so it was easy and painless. I'm a fainter so I opted to lay down but all was good. This location is in Chinatown so Tracy let me know that their cliental is obviously mostly Chinese who don't speak great English so that's probably why there's a lack of reviews. read more

Never go there again. The waiting experience was terrible. I went there for the first time this morning. A male nurse there was reluctant when I asked the procedure for my wellness check. Then I sit in the waiting room for almost one hour, until I felt angry since I saw at least three or four people coming later than me got called by him. When I finally was called in by a female nurse, she told me that they don't have a meter to measure my height. So she used the number on my driver license. Cannot believe it. Time for my annual physical, and my doctor ordered up some more blood work with none other than Quest Diagnostics. I remembered my visit last year to a rather dingy basement on 14th street, so I was a bit apprehensive this go around. At the very least, I was going to try and arrange for my appointment at a different location. I am glad I did! It's like night and day. This location in Chinatown is so, so much better. This office is so clean! Better than that, I had the quickest appointment of my life (that's counting any appointment). Seriously, as I was SIGNING IN, the phlebotomist indicated that I could proceed to the room down the hall. I had to look around, because it sounded like she was talking to me. Wait, she was talking to me. I couldn't believe it! I proceeded down the hall and into the office. She verified my information, and took my blood and said that I was done. So quickly it all happened, I had to verify. Indeed I was done. By the time I returned to the elevator, I swear only 3 minutes elapsed, and the time on my watch showed that I was still early for my scheduled appointment. Unbelievable. I really think I waited longer for the elevator than I did having my appointment. This is now my go to spot if I ever need to use Quest in the future. Recommend. read more

Never again would i do blood work here. I came in at 12 and signed the papers ( no appointment). Ended up waiting till 2 o clock and ONLY because i asked what was next to my name ( waiting list) and she said it said drop off. She told me i should had seen it earlier like it was my fault. Bascially the asian doctor that looks like he needs some **** in his life, wrote drop off for me for no reason. Im really mad about this and I wish there was a way i can report this place. I feel so bad for the people that dont speak english because apparently they treat their own people aka chinese people like crap. Rude. Not a friendly environment. I waited for about 60 minutes for a simple blood test while there was only two people in front of me on Saturday afternoon. Only two technicians were working. They worked very slowly without concern of people were waiting. I can't imagine how long you will have to wait in the morning when tons of fasting people rushing in to get their blood drawn. I was terrified to go here,after reading the reviews. I must admit, the two times I went, it was empty. During the holiday week was the first time, and 10:30 am, on a Friday, walk in. This is literally the only time I have ever posted a negative review, but TOO MANY THINGS WERE TERRIBLE. I showed up for my scheduled blood draw but no one had told me I couldn't eat beforehand. They were about to uselessly draw blood when I asked about it. So I came back a few days later. I told them I have small veins, and that they should feel the vein before they stick me. They seemed annoyed, and after barely looking, passed me off to their supervisor. She barely looked either, visually saw a vein, and poked into my arm for a full couple minutes before I started getting woozy and asked her to remove the needle. They wouldn't let me put my head between my knees, and wouldn't answer my repeated questions about why. So I had to sit up (!!) until I could see straight. Meanwhile, the two of them spoke very condescendingly about my health in Mandarin, assuming I couldn't understand them. Super un-cool. Eventually, I suggested she try my hand, and she used a standard size needle (not a butterfly, like every other phlebotomist I've ever met). I asked several times how many vials they needed (3 were on the counter). She never answered me, and stopped after one after I calmly asked a handful of times. I had to sign that my info was correct on their form before leaving, but she wouldn't tell me what I was signing beyond that I had to sign, and seemed very annoyed that I wanted to read it before signing. I'm pretty easy-going, but this was truly bizarre. That was 10 days ago, and I still don't have my results. I've tried them online, and waited in their long phone tree, but nothing yet. At least the huge bruises on my arm and hand are gone now. I hope no one ever needs to go there, and certainly no one who cannot advocate for their own health needs! They did follow COVID safety guidelines, but that is a low bar for a medical facility. read more

I stepped into the office at 9:10 AM for an appointment time of 9:15 AM. I was called up exactly at the appointment time so I waited for less than 5 minutes before I was taken into one of the back rooms for drawing the blood. Samantha, who Phlebotomist attended to me, was very good - I didn't even felt the needle when she performed venipuncture. On top of that, she was very funny and helpful during the entire process. The office itself was very clean - seems like it's renovated recently. One suggestion though - I didn't see any signs/billboards/hoardings for Quest Diagnostics outside the building or on the floor. I was in two minds whether I was at the right place or not and completely relied on the suite number mentioned on Google/Yelp to get to the center. A bit of advertising would help a lot of people who are coming to this place for the first time. read more

I had a very bad experience at this location. Samantha is very rude and unprofessional. She ignored all my questions and was talking to her friend in the next room the whole time. She also touched the outside of the gloves when she was putting them on and did not seem to be mindful of common hygiene or aseptic techniques. Had an early morning appointment booked online at this location, and the service was smooth and seamless. I like this Quest location as it's slightly tucked away from the main hustle of Chinatown. Your best bet is to come early, (doors open at 7:30) and you will surely make it back to work in time. The nurse who took my blood did a great job as I barely felt the pinch. As to another Yelper that wrote that there is nobody at the front desk; as soon as you arrive just proceed to sign in using their mini pad at the front. The nurses will come out to call you. I was at this location a couple of days ago. I have to say this is the best Quest Diagnostics location I have ever been. All you have to do is make appointment, go in, sign in and take a seat. The technician will come out to get you. The facility is bright and clean. The technician who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions with confident. The process itself was quick and painless. She even called my doctor's office to verify a test that was not clear on the paper I brought it. The room was very relaxing and not at all intimidating. Her dog pictures was funny and actually distracted me during the process! I will return to this location next time I need any bloodwork. I am so glad I came here. I have the tiniest and most uncooperative veins so giving blood samples has always been a long and painful ordeal even when I try to hydrate before the process. Maggie made it seem so easy by filling up 10 test tubes all on her first try. She was simply amazing. The wait was also not bad since I had made an appointment first. They may not be the friendliest but they are efficient and their skills are top notch. I've had very smooth and efficient visits here -- at least three times in the past few months -- and have no complaints. The guy who does all the blood draws is very sweet and has a great sense of humor. Haven't been to any other offices to compare, but after reading various reviews of different locations, I was worried, only to find that I always leave with a smile. Got some blood work done here, and overall the appointment was fine and uneventful. Appreciate that you can book it online. The office was conveniently located to me, and I'm glad they're open so early - I had an 8am appt and was out by 8:45am, and had to wait 10 mins to be seen.
