Although it's very busy there, employees are very diligent and assure they listen to concerns and they are not people who work slow and make mistakes. I applaud each and everyone who helped me. When my boyfriend and I went there earlier for x-ray early morning as first people to arrive when they do, they quickly was able to check him in, nicely allow me to wait close by and showed me where I can sit, and finished his X-ray in less than a few minutes. Their rate of providing printed CD was faster than all other radiology locations. They print it right away on the spot instead of hours later. They also mention the issue because they know it's important to follow up right away, whereas other clinics ask you to wait for the report to be done in whatever time from they conclude. Furthermore, even though they say report takes 2 days, the doctor actually already received the completed report in less than an hour. I recommend going early at opening hours for less longer line. read more

I had a left shouldered injury about 2 months ago and have been coming here for the last 2 months to check on the progress of my shoulder. The staff are courteous and efficient. There really isn't much of a wait from my experience. I used the back xray area which is part of New York Presbyterian. All of the people that I came in contact with were very professional, courteous and kind. I had x rays and a sonogram done. I'd like to recognize Javier, who did my sonogram especially because he made what could have been an uncomfortable exam, comfortable. He is in the right profession. He spoke with me and explained exactly what he was doing throughout the procedure and was done quickly. Bedside manner and making patients feel like they are the most important thing at that moment makes being a patient bearable. Javier and his coworkers at MSR in Jackson heights have what it takes. My appointment today was for 5:30PM and I was here at 5PM as instructed for my MRI T-Spine. Upon entering, I checked in with a guy that's supposed to mark in their system that I've arrived. But apparently he didn't, and I only discovered that when I heard them trying to register a 630pm patient, when she's not ready yet and I still didn't get registered by their front desk for my exam. Mind you, I heard that at 614PM, I had waited for over an hour and I'm pissed now. So I got the name of the guy from the girl registering me right now. His name is "Nafee" and have left for the day, so I can't even cuss him out for his incompetence: when that's his only task by the door, on the computer. No one in pain enjoys this nonsense. And what's the point of doing your pre-registration online if I'm just going to be asked the same things at the counter ?? Just to waste my time some more? like I have no life ??? I have someone waiting for me to be done, so we can go home. Now I have to explain why it took so long and feel bad about it ... because it usually doesn't take this long and we both knew that. By 6:27PM my registration is completed by Cynthia at counter #8. And we both wanted to get this over with quick, since I am now a hostile patient. Speed may have left other things neglected, which I'll find out if all of my four cc-ed doctors will get this report. I was then led to the changing room, and told to remove everything except undergarments and socks. No further explanation was provided, when you're supposed to ... for MRI. And shortly after ... another patient entered, then her tech: Mark came and called for her exam before mine; So I spoke to him and was told that the MRI exams are backed up... hence why I was still there..... At 6:54pm I was called by Crystal to do my MRI. I left this facility by 7:27PM. I've yet to have any negative experiences with any of their onsite techs in any of their many locations. On average, these MRI exams takes from 15-20 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on your exam and your powers of staying still. My exam took as long as expected, from my years of MRI experiences (many per year) . My family and I have been patients with MSR for over a decade off the top of my head. And I've visited almost all of their locations, except the newest one located in Glendale. The inconsistency in service, professionalism and friendliness of their staff is astounding at various locations, besides today being ridiculous at this location (Jackson Heights). You guys keep sending me emails to leave you reviews and feedbacks.... so here. (Maybe Todd will take a look.) I know it's all about the paperless tech era now... but if your staff can't properly replace the need for a patient being signed in on a clip board; so we, as patients, can be assured that you'll read our name later .... maybe tech isn't for you. Trust is breached. Suggestions: Perhaps you may want to reconsider doing it the old fashion way, like MSR 3 is still doing... They have someone on the 3rd floor stationed by the elevators, tasked to check with patients for their referrals, ID & insurance cards (just to make sure they have it, and not find out after waiting a long time and be upset), what language staff they may need, besides writing down names on a clipboard. The method has worked for years, so both parties can see it's done properly. OR - let us check in electronically ourselves, like your pre-registration requests; E-Check-in by GPS locations via an app.... or come up with a method with less room for errors if you're going to insist on keeping up with the joneses.) Yes, I wrote this on site... since I had so much time to kill....... about 2.5 hours total. (Mind you, it's about a 4 hour flight from NY to LA.... and depending on traffic it's also about 4 hours if you're driving to Boston from NYC.) read more

They take a LONG time to answer the phone so be prepared to call and just sit there and wait. But once you make your appointment, it's a different story. I scheduled my appointment for the following week, they said it was at 3:30 and to arrive at 3pm. I didn't know there was free parking so I got there early and arrived at 2:40pm. They checked me in and let me use the bathroom. I only waited about 15-20 minutes before they called me, even though there were about 15 other people in the waiting room. They checked me in and showed me to the changing room since I was there for an MRI. The robes were pretty comfortable. My tech called me before I was even finished changing, so he came back once I was done. Thus was my first MRI, so he explained everything to me and gave me ear plugs and headphones with music to help with the noise. It took about 15 minutes. Beware if you're claustrophobic!! I stayed calm and kept my eyes closed. When I left I was a bit dizzy, but he told me that usually happens, and they gave me a disc of the photos that were taken. I was out by 3:40!!! Amazing timing and very nice staff. I would go here again if I ever need anything done again. read more

They are very kind people they do pet scans and every time I check to see for how my cancer progressed I go there or wherever my situation is as far as how my body is inside I go there and they are very very very nice people over there And I like going to that one. Had call the same morning before heading there to confirm insurance accepted, they said yes and when I get there they notify me they don't work with that insurance. Staff should be trained and knowledgeable to answer customer questions and provide with the right answers so we don't waste our time heading there instead of going somewhere else. read more

I just left MSR in Jackson Heights, while the care and imagining are always great. Today the facility was absolutely freezing, there were older folks then me there, and they were shaking and their families had to hug them to keep them warm. You are shown a locker room and have to disrobe into a thin robe, that does nothing, I would reconsider having a scan or other services there in the cold weather. read more

Life's firsts thin out as time marches on and then there's one that comes to you in a big-time way, one that makes memories of the good even the great and the not so good and damn awful. So I was wrestling an eight foot shrub in my yard because I felt that I planted it a few inches too deep. Branches to belly and fully locked together, scratches be damned, it was on as my strength has never let me down when I called upon the full reserves. I didn't see the Check Engine light appear, but I felt a "pop" in my left shoulder and lower bicep, red blood cells rushing to the scene, arm tightened, I dialed to get an orthopedist appointment. A snail's pace elevator whose total toil is two floors let me finally out, into a straight line of receptionists all eager to get me where I needed to go. I was futzing with my red bandanna when the cutest one of them all came up to me and flashed me a kind smile and a new mask. Third x-ray commencement, and these machines were so big and so quiet as they we're effortlessly swung with a half a hand to target my arm parts, sensors indicating. The technician thought my twisted self hysterically funny as I stood in a small blue robe wisecracking jokes -- not "did you hear about the one with the Rabbi and the guy with the chicken under his arm in the bar"? Flash, buzz, drop the vest and tie up the rear so my butt isn't hanging out the back door and I was back on the street in under thirty minutes.. read more

This review is for the check in area or front desk. It was not the best experience here at Main Street Radiology. In fact it was extremely frustrating. My mom did not make this appointment and it was her doctor that set up this appointment for her for they wanted to make sure she did not have a blood clot. That was how this appointment was scheduled for a Saturday. Everything was confirmed the day before on Friday. Saturday-Main Street Radiology at this site called before and ask mom to come in early. Okay no worries, we get there as soon as possible. The staff at the check in area once you get off the elevator said you have to reschedule an appointment for another day. They can not see her Today. She did not have a referral. TO UPPER MANAGEMENT-YOU NEED TO RETRAIN THIS STAFF MEMBER! WHY? She did not care to look further on the computer to check for the referral which was sent in by the doctors office. Now, if everything was taken care of on Friday, then the referral would be in the system now would it not? Here I am in the car calling my mom's doctor office regarding this referral. Offices are not even open. My mom is in so much pain and thank goodness my brother holding on to her. She gets sad and worried that she has to come back again? The woman has trouble walking/limping and in lots of pain. Show some compassion. What? When referral was already taken care of by mom's doctor. This staff member just did not do her job by searching further on the computer. Seriously, do not stress out patients because of your incompetence or because you do not want to do your job. Listen this place was empty. Maybe only one other patient. You still can not get your act together. It's about taking care of patients. I understand it's 61 degrees outside and you want to get done early. Do not disregard or dismiss the last patient. The technician was good and did her job. Never had issues with any of the technicians for they made sure patient was okay and went through the procedure. P.S.S.- Never send a patient away after appointment has been scheduled by the doctor for it must be urgent to have an appointment on a Saturday. When you just do your job and search for the referral on the computer system or even check the fax machines. read more

This place is a fraud. sure you get the service that you are there for but then you need to prepare for the endless billing problems. had service on 2/28/23 - 2 months later i get a big bill, i call them up and they say that they will look into it and get back to me. i was never contacted and then the following month i get the same bill again. call again and am told the same thing, of course no one gets back to me, today i get a bill for almost double of what the first bill is, and guess what ...the same story. now its over $800.00 and the funny thing is that on their bill it states "your insurance has applied this bill to your yearly deductible, you are responsible for this bill" now how would they know what goes on between my insurance company and i? so i called my insurance company and they say yeah we see the bill but they are sending their claims incorrectly with the wrong facility address. so i call them back and tell them the error and guess what...OK we will get back to you. it seems as though they are trying to get me to pay and then once they have my money they will submit the claim properly. next stop better business bureau. read more

This is my family's go to place for X-rays, CT-Scans and MRI's. The staff, specifically the technicians/radiologists are mild mannered. Especially the one one lady who wears a hijab. She is very kind and helps me feel at ease when taking a scan, with her patient nature. For the many years that I have been coming here, I never had a bad experience with the radiological staff. As for the people working in the reception area, it can be hit or miss. They're not always that friendly. But more often than not, they're okay. Results arrive rather quickly. You're going to have to call them and request them to send you the reports via e-mail. One of the gems of this location is the valet parking. Primarily, the attendant who works there. He is a middle aged, grey haired man who is very nice and sweet. This gentleman is a credit to this company and location. All in all, I highly recommend coming to this place for all of your radiological testing needs. read more

My Mom had a scan appt this afternoon at this location and I cannot say enough about Nicholas M. who is a tech in the Nuclear Medicine dept. He made me and Mom feel welcome and relaxed. He was professional and so patient with everyone including us. He's got the bedside manner that all patients would like when dealing with doctor's appointments. I'm writing a review as the daughter of a patient. I bring my mom here for her shoulder injury because there are orthopedists and an imaging team on staff, unfortunately we are sitting here, waiting for the doctor for over an hour. The lines outside for check in were a mess, the staff was taking breaks after every single check in and it took us forever to check my mom in. While the doctor was excellent, there are other excellent facilities that do not keep you waiting for endless hours to be seen. read more

Last time I was here really nice lady was helpful and nice until I was done but today was just worst experience with another worker this morning. This time it was a guy, I dont quiet remember his full name but his last name definitely was LIANG first name not too sure. He's an assistant manager! Start to end it was just rudeness! Why is my problem that he had to restart his computer?! Not just that he asked me to sign and he sigh because I didn't know what to press. Then afterward another rudeness from him was that I thought i had to sign but he's like "I didnt tell you touch it right" with loud voice. This is the best Radiology place I have ever been to. All the employees and doctors are professional and very kind. I have been here many times and each visit I left with all my questions answered and everything explained to me. Their bedside matter is impeccable! The rooms, lobby, waiting room and even Garage is Very clean! Maintenance is always walking around cleaning. They have a free parking garage and they take all insurance. I am so utterly frustrated with them. I gave them a great reviews in the past, but this time I had went for an ultrasound about two months ago and they said I have a fatty liver and because of that I've been seeing numerous doctors and change my diet and had chaos in my life and a month later I went for a CAT scan with contrast and it said my test was perfectly normal. That's very disturbing that two test show very different conclusions and when I call them, they said that they will not discuss it with me. read more

When you walk in you need to stop by the check-in table which is not marked, labelled and hidden behind a large pillard. Once you find help they are pretty friendly and quick processing your appointment. Tip: there is free parking in the building; entrance on Northern Blvd. The Q47 bus is a block from the business. Not really sure why this place has so many high reviews on Yelp and Google.. How many people will actually take the time to review medical spots only to say something vague like "great service and clean!" Here's an honest review. ACCESSIBILITY: The location is easy to get to, they have an elevator on the side for anyone that can't get up via stairs. CLEANLINESS: Standardly clean. It's what you'd expect from a medical facility that is fairly new and hasn't had enough time to start visibly aging yet. Also, they don't really get that many kids so that's why it's not that hard to keep things mostly tidy. CHECKIN STAFF: When you get in you have to wait in line to check in. There's 2 lines on the floor- make sure the one you're in faces CVS if you're there for radiology. The other line is in the back by the elevator on the side and it's for sports medicine. For this first check in, if you didn't fill out the pre check beforehand you'd fill it out there. Then they ask everyone to sign- this is where the person checking me in skipped the HIPPA screen as well as the screen stating how much I'd agree to pay and just asked me to sign it. Kinda annoying because if I didn't read things quickly I would've missed that WAITING: They told me to get in 30mins before my appointment and come alone. In the text message I was sent it said the same. The waiting room once you're checked in is a circle and I went on a weekday morning but about half the seats were taken. You're there to wait for another staff to scan your ID and insurance cards, take your referral, and print out a summary of your appointment then to sit back in the same area. The final wait is in a separate waiting room near the front entrance so when you're called into there you can expect to see the radiologist soon. TLDR: 3 lines basically. RADIOLOGIST: The one I saw was pretty nice. She wasn't allowed to tell me anything about my results but said that my doctor would get the report in 2 days. read more

I checked in at the front and Mandy called me in to review paperwork. She was nice, fast, efficient and professional. The center is clean and welcoming for patients. It is conveniently located with free valet parking. Street parking is also easily available as well. I highly recommend this location and Mandy. Wow just wow. I've been waiting here for 3 hrs for a mammo and sono. Mammo was done in decent time frame. But the rest was for sono. No one could tell me how much longer I would need to wait. I'm just waiting here still. I've asked staff 2x already. Is it too much to ask for time frame? Finally asked 3rd time with someone else they finally helped expedite me after hearing 3 hrs. Very disappointed with my visit today. The facility scheduled me to see my surgeon and my Therapist 15minutes apart. My appointment with the surgeon finished after the time that I was supposed to see my Therapist. They told me to just come back another day for my physical therapy which really bothered me. The doctor told me that I needed a night splint and that my finger needs to get moving immediately but was still told by the Physical Therapy department to just come back another day. I spoke with the front desk and they told me that I shouldn't have been scheduled 15 minutes apart from each appointment and that it's their fault. I appreciate the honesty but they still didn't do anything to rectify the situation. I'm not sacrificing my recovery due to clerical error or because the Therapist is over booked. I'm currently sitting (been sitting here for 20 minutes) waiting for them to cancel my authorization with my insurance so I can move to another physical therapy facility. The therapists seem to be over booked with clients. Based on my experience they see 3 clients at a time. read more

I was able to schedule a CT scan with ease and was attended as soon as I walked in. In between checking in, filling out paper work, and getting the scan I was done in 30 minutes! My technician Eric was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and even made sure I understood the procedure. He even recommended on a time that I should contact my specialist for results. Today, I had an MRI of ny shoulder at Mainstreet Radiology. Because I forgot my phone, I couldn't check in at that moment. Let me just say, Yasmin at the desk, was so thorough in revising my file, and working with me to reassure me Since I suffer from anxiety and claustrophobia in those tomb like machines! Daisy, who carried out the actual imaging, was superb. I came out of the machine with tears gushing down my face, drenches in sweat, and she helped me up. As soon as I was up, I ran to the garbage and threw up whatever water I had before the exam. She used a kind and gentle voice to calm me down, asking me gently to try to take deep breaths. She wAlked me slowly back to my private room area, and I in utter happiness at it all being over hugged her! Finally, jennifer did great at the end. Checking me out, reminding me If I wanted a CD of my imaging, and she asked how everything was and if I had been alright in there. She listened as I blabbes about how relieves I was to be done and how i had seen 7 doctors in two days and had been up since 5:40 AM and I was just relieved I was able to have stayed so still. I believe it was because of their collective effort at efficency, assurance, and actual concern and care for patients...for people. Humanity at its best in an Radiology imaging place. I hope to never have another one, but that is where I will go ! Extra: place is big, clean, phone chargers available, and the private rooms have a mirror in case you have to i dont know fix your hair after pulling out bobby pins out of your do!! Something important when your running around between two jobs and doctors appointments. Just want to say, I went to Empire Imaging (not this place guys) and, I trooped out there in the snow by car because our car was in the shop, and the first time they straight did not open. The second time had shut off computers at 1 even though the message machine said they closed at 3. The third time, they only could do one out of the three tests my doc ordered. i also went to the mainstreet radiology on francis blvd and while they were great for my xray, I have to say this was truly a feat and this place and these three women (oh and choy or joy) who I spoke to pn the phone)... have my heart! Thank you. I wanted to let you know the work you so does matter. We also take it home with us. Just had an MRI with Eric this afternoon, he was very kind and understanding about my anxiety going into the machine. Thank you for that. The staff asked me about my wait and directed me accordingly. Everyone today was excellent. *** I do however want to add that I was there about 2 weeks ago for an X-ray with another technician and she was very aggressive, to the point where I yelled and held back tears. (She grabbed and yanked my fractured wrist after I told her I removed my brace for the X-ray of my hip) I get that it's busy, and you must be tired but don't take it out on the patients.
