Need to do some blood work? Welcome to Quest Diagnostics, where we'll stab you with needles, suck out all your blood and have you off to where you need to be in just a matter of minutes! I don't know why, but I always find Quest Diagnostics very efficient. The employees here seems a little irritated, however, so my favorite Quest Diagnostics is still the one in Flushing. This place isn't bad either, and everything they have is still sterile and tidy.

Being in constant pursuit, tune and alignment with health as I'm getting old…read more(::sad-but-grateful-face), I made the appointment for a routine bloodwork online. The appointment was at 8:15am on a Saturday and I didn't know what to expect (because I had been to other labs where the weekends are just jam packed). The lab was easy enough to find and the waiting room was somewhat on the smaller side and it was full of people. Once one walks in, check-in is available via a kiosk or there's the option to do it from your phone. I opted for the latter and took a seat. I then was called to bring in my paperwork upfront and after less than 5 minutes, I was called in and greeted by a sweet lab tech. The whole thing took overall less than 10 minutes so I was happy to be in and out! Efficient and zero time wasted. I also got my results within 2 days! Super fast. This will be my future lab for all testing needs for sure! Very happy.

The receptionist lady was fine with me but was talking very loudly about what people were getting done I thought that was a little off lol! The nurse who took my blood was the worst I asked him to take blood from my hand because from my arm it never works! He kept ignoring me and didn't listen to any of my concerns! I'm the patient I think I know myself better! But overall it was alright!

My phlebotomist Mike was so great and professional! I have really bad veins and he was able to draw my blood in one shot! He was super nice and friendly!

Came in 30 mins ago as a walk-in. Before we could speak up,…read moreone of the phlebotomists said to my husband that he would likely be waiting for about 2 hours because he didn't have an appointment - meanwhile we walked here from the Dr office to get it done during an off-peak time. The waiting room had one person waiting who also ended up being a walk-in and was taken care of when we got in. Since then we have watched appointment holders come in and out and the phlebotomists are hanging out in their rooms on the phone instead of attending to my husband. Meanwhile there was. 10-15min gap of no one in the office but me and my husband. One of the other phlebotomists just saw me Standing in an open area between the two rooms as they were hanging out on their phone. As they saw this they closed the door. What kind of service is this??? And why did this phlebotomist automatically tell us there was a 2 hour wait... meanwhile he's on his phone in the room instead of attending to my partner. It's now been 45mins and we are the only people in the waiting room. There has been 1 person for an appointment in the last 20mins and no one else here. Meanwhile they close for their lunch from 12-1230 (an assigned break, according to their website) I don't want to make assumptions but this seems negligent. This is midtown manhattan - we are all working in this environment and imagine this location would be busy for a lot of business people - so if you can't hang with high turnover and be of service for a high client location then quest should hire those who can. ----- update. I had to ask the female staff member how long it would be as an appointment holder came in. She said she'd take us after the appointment - super grateful but why did we have to call to her attention that we'd had jobs to get to and we had been waiting with few other appointments showing As we entered her room, we noticed her phone in the front of the monitor playing a show of some sort (appears to be "the bear")... What kind of professionalism is this?

And no one likes dealing with insurance and paperwork and stuff like that... But come on, they're honestly always so nice, at all locations, in my experience. I went to this location today and it was super efficient even though I was a walk in. Brianna drew my blood and she was so sweet and easy to talk to. I was seriously in and out and totally too distracted to even realize it was over. Everyone there was super nice, especially Brianna :D

The employees worked both the front desk and performed the lab work so it was very inefficient. When you arrive, you check in at one of the kiosks by the door. Later on, they call you to the front desk to either provide your paperwork or pull it up in their records. I had to have blood drawn several times in one visit. At my doctor's office, they never have an issue, but here, they had to try multiple times to find a vein, sticking me repeatedly. They ended up drawing from my hand, rather than my arm, which I've never experienced before. I had to have the blood drawn at regular hour long intervals. They did not keep track of the time, and I had to set my own timer and inform them when I was due for another draw. Even then, I had to wait several minutes until they were able to call me in again, so there was no precision. The employees were friendly and doing their best, but more staff are definitely needed here. They technically take walk-ins, but you will surely have a long wait. Even those with appointments were often not seen on time. The waiting area did not have enough seats for everyone, so some folks had to stand as it got crowded. The logistics here are just not reassuring for something as serious as medical testing.

After the 48 hour period passed, I checked the website frequently and noticed the turnaround time on the website changed from "up to 48 hours" to "72 to 96 hours" and then more recently to "1 - 4 days." The lab didn't even meet the revised turnaround time - it took 5 days for me to receive my result. After 48 hours, I tried to contact the lab using the chat support system to inquire about my results. The wait time to chat with an agent was always "1 minute" even after I waited 15 minutes. Clearly, the chat support was not properly staffed.

Second time day before Christmas eve i was seen in a matter of 15 minutes. I think it took longer to register than to stand on the line. I got my rapid results instantly and my second results 72 hours after. They did put a sign saying it would take between 48-96 hours to get the result. Update: I showed up three days after Christmas after being exposed to a few family with Covid...it was busy as new year eve was that week. Anywho i think i waited longer because of the time i went. But they placed us on two different lines to get the line moving. After about 40 minutes of waiting, I was tested and 15-20 minutes after I had my rapid results. And two days later I had my PCR result. I honestly am still surprised on the negative reviews.
