I would give this hell hole NO stars if I could. Had a 9:00 am appointment today. They send a QR code in advance of the appointment, with explicit instructions to get there 10 minutes EARLY. If you're not there on TIME, your appointment is cancelled. Funny, I waited 50 minutes to be called back. The waiting room has 4 chairs in it - Covid don't ya know. Didn't you hear? You get covid if you SIT DOWN IN A WAITING ROOM. This place is straight out of March 2020 with the no chairs, masks WITH FACE SHIELDS and haz mat gowns. Elderly people standing with walkers, with no place to sit, and having to navigate the QR code kiosk is ridiculous. No care for clients at all. Grey walls, grey floors, grey gowns. This facility literally looks like a prison. HORRIBLE. I'm never going back. read more

I would rate this place a 0. I have given blood many times and a lot of it without fainting before this place. I have piercings and tattoos im not scared of needles. I used to always watch when getting my blood drawn. This place changed that for me, I came in to give some blood and at first the nurse said it was going to be 4 tubes which is not a lot. She walked out and a new nurse came in saying the other nurse was going to be doing something else and she'd be my new nurse to take my blood. She did a total of 6 tubes and on the last one when she pulled out the needle I fainted for the first time. A couple months after that if I got a cut I would faint (never happened before). Had to come to Quest for some routine lab work as one of my doctors is a Sutter affiliate. Quest continues to have absolutely the worst patient service. There is no use asking for a manager, requesting for help regarding billing mess ups, or even lab mistakes (my problem). The whole Quest Diagnostics business is too corporate to care. I do walk in early in the morning once a month. The longest I've waited was 30 minutes. Reasonable. Plan your day or make an appointment if you can't wait. They're friendly and patient. It always takes forever for my veins to be found and it's harder for them to draw my blood and they're still patient about it. Which I feel would be annoying. I apologize lol. When I get poked the max they apologize when it's definitely not all they're fault. I'm not sure when the remodel and everything changed, but I like it better than it was a few years ago. Some of the staff at this facility are very unprofessional and rude. I am speaking about the staff that was working the afternoon of Friday 2/15/19. I am not speaking about no one else specially not about those employees who rotate there from other facilities. I usually go to 6555 Coyle Ave. There I am always treated respectfully and the ladies are really nice. Unfortunately they are always super busy, so i decided to go to this Facility since there was no wait time. To the Manager of this facility, have your staff show some human kindness. They are not drawing blood from objects. We are human who are 80% of the time coming there because we are not feeling well. We are so vulnerable in your staff hands. How does one rate a place where you either get a needle stuck in in you or have to pee in a cup? I have felt a bit like a pin cushion lately for various tests so I am versed in the good and bad of getting your blood drawn. I walked in this past week to a waiting room of about 10 people which would have made me walk out if I was motivated to drive a bit further. Check in, sit down, they call you for insurance, back to sitting, then called back by the person with the luck of pricking you today. The woman who drew my blood was older and so incredibly nice. We chatted and she was very supportive when talking about why I was there in the first place. I was in and out in 15 minutes which was shocking and a great surprise. (I have been to other locations where it took longer for only 2 people waiting). I will be back to this location! read more

Note: this is regarding the location at 151 N Sunrise Ave. Ok. On a past occasion, they lost (or just neglected to perform) one test (of two for which blood was drawn that day). And the wait was long. I do not know where the fault lies for that -- at that location or at the lab where they send the samples. On another occasion, a test that was mailed in (yeah, one of *those*) nothing was ever heard. But maybe the Postal Service lost that one. Today, my wife arrived at 11:30 for a simple test (one little blood draw). An hour and a half later (!) she was still waiting. And THEN when we prodded, they admitted that it would be another hour or hour and a half to get to her (and mind you, they did not have a *big* crowd -- in the hour and a half only about three people had been called in for their blood draw or whatever it was for them). Had they given us any clue that they had only one or two phlebotomists (the folks who draw the blood) and that there was some other problem also gumming up the works, we would have found a different location. We will NEVER go there again, and can only hope that other Quest locations are not so hideously incompetent and thoughtless. Edited to add: the Quest lab at the St. George Medical Center on Coyle Ave (6555 Coyle Ave Ste 160, Carmichael, CA), has been fine. read more

If you're into wasting a few hours of your life sitting in a dirty and uncomfortable waiting area then this is the place for you! I arrived at 10:15 a.m. and saw the waiting room had about 6 people ahead of me. I signed in and got called up for my insurance info by 10:20. I thought this was a good sign. at 10:35, the waiting room began to fill. I asked the front desk attendant how much longer I had to wait. She said I was 4th in line. I thought maybe I had another 20 minutes to wait. BY 11:10, I still had not been called. I asked the desk attendant, now a different person, how long of a wait I had. She said two hours! I explained I was 4th on the list at 10:30. She rolled her eyes and said she wasn't sure who told me that. I asked her to check my name so she got up (with much attitude), looked at my chart, and informed me I had an hour wait time since there were two ahead of me and they had only one person doing blood draws. I told her I was not waiting any longer and left. QUEST--if you are reading this, do an analysis on your busiest times, and what types of diagnostics most customers are requesting. Then, hire more staff to cover these times and train them on good customer service practices (like informing customers of wait times and being friendly to people even if they interrupt you from whatever you are doing). This is a business, right? Not a charity where your staff are volunteers and customers are not paying for services. Paying customers have choices-whether they pay through private insurance, or public assistance. Another tip for you, get some comfortable chairs, some magazines for adults, and dedicate a small area for kids while they wait with their parents. read more

Wow, so glad I read the reviews before coming in here to get my bloodwork done. Yes it's a good idea to schedule an appointment ONLINE. Because even when I made an online appointment I still ended up waiting 20 minutes to be seen by the phlebotomist. There was only one person ahead of me and it was a medical person dropping off a specimen. That morning I scheduled a 3:00 PM appointment online. I walked in/ signed my name on the clipboard at 2:53 PM. There was no one to be seen at the front desk. I saw a blonde lady come in. She did not smile but asked how I was doing. I said I was doing well and asked her how she was and she gave no response. I let her know I signed my name on the clipboard. She told me "Thanks" and thought that I should just sit down now with my son. The whole time she seemed unhappy because she was frowning the whole time which made me feel sad for her. I waited till 3:18 PM. The only real plus side coming in here was having the pleasant phlebotomist Benjamin who drew up my blood for my 2nd trimester screening. He knew customer service. Although I heard from his other coworkers saying it's been a long day, he still smiled and greeted me pleasantly as well the others clients who were coming in to get lab work done. read more

I should have read the reviews before heading to this Quest location. Total waste of my time. The front desk receptionist was rude and very unresponsive, as if she was in a trance. Every question I asked was answered with "Go take a sit and I will get back to you"... After one hour of waiting they still could not confirm I had an order for lab work. AVOID THIS PLACE. This is the worst lab I have ever been to. I brought both of my boys for their regular lab work. The girl at the desk was polite but clearly not able to do her job due to being understaffed. The technician drawing blood skipped my boys and called all the patients after us on the list. When i brought this to her attention she stated we were "accidentally skipped." We have sat for over an hour to get lab work and there is at least five people waiting after us now. Service here is fine but this location is always busy and there's usually a 45 minute wait or more. Yet, people continue to come here when they could go to another Quest location. My wife and I visited this place to get our exams done for my job, which requires a blood test and measurements every two years. We came by without an appointment at 4pm on a Thursday afternoon with our two little kids. There were several people waiting in the lobby. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by Chelsea, the receptionist. She quickly signed us in and got our information ready for the tests. I was pleasantly surprised to see a genuine smile and such quick service before closing time. Within a few minutes, the other people have been served and our phlebotomist Ben called us back. He was such a pleasure to work with, he was making our children laugh while completing the tests quickly and efficiently. My wife even commented that she hopes we get him again next time. Overall, this was a great visit. We didn't wait long and were out within 20 minutes of coming in. I recommend this place for sure. read more

If I make an appointment it's pretty quick to get in and get out. Staff are always really nice, I've never had an issue with that. One time (it hasn't happened since) the TV was on a religious channel and I thought it was very insensitive to those who are atheist. Checking in from my mobile phone was great! Appointment was on time. The lab technician was great as well. The bathroom was terrible! I had to give a urine specimen. The bathroom sink was dirty ( I had a 9:30 am appt. ). No hook to hang my purse ( am I supposed to put it on the ground?). I put it on the toilet tank. No table, with replaceable paper cover for the specimen cup. Back of the toilet with my purse where probably everyone else does. Yuck! Is that clean? No paper towels to dry my hands and turn off the faucet. Considering that this bathroom is used by everyone for giving urine samples, this is not acceptable. Even if we weren't in a Covid-19 pandemic, this is not sanitary!!!!! read more

We took my 1 year old to this location for blood work, no appt., wait time said 45 mins. So we're waiting and see everyone who came in after get called back. We go up front, after waiting 45mins, and check on the status, they claim they called my daughters name three times? However, my wife and I were right there the entire time and were very observant, as we watched everyone else get called up front and called back. Not to mention, she was the only baby girl in there, they could have walked up to us, if they really did call her name three times. Finally we get called back, the phlebotomist was very insensitive and cold to my 1year old, they did not say one word to her. To top it off, there was blood on the arm of the chair that my wife had to point out to them and have them clean it!! We will never come back to this location. read more

I would highly suggest making an appointment beforehand. The only time that I had to wait for awhile was when I didn't make one. They lost my dr's lab orders 2 out of 3 times that I have been here. The lab techs really stick that needle deep, very painful stinging blood draws. There are plenty of labs in Roseville. I do not recommend this one. I made an appointment and surprisingly there was only one other person who was in there waiting. I was seen within 5 minutes of checking in and out in another 5, but this wasn't the problem. The woman who did my blood draw was coughing non stop without covering her mouth. This started at the front desk while she was waiting for the other woman to pull the paperwork and then during the draw too. She coughed in my face at least 4 times and I felt disgusted especially knowing this is a medical environment and you just don't do that. When I tried making conversation with her and asked how she was doing, she replied just okay and that was it. I would give this place a 0 of I could. Earlier today I went and picked up.supplies from the other roseville location for stool sample. They told me they closed at 330. I said I didnt think I could get back there on time. So she insisted to go to the one that is actually closer to my house JUST TO DROP IT OFF. Told me they closed at 5. When I showed up to this location there was another lady that had already been stay doing there trying to get in. When I first looked down at the time when we realized they were closed it was 4 mins till and mind you all I had to do is drop it off. So me and the lady are looking for another entrance not all doors were locked. There was a family inside so we started knocking. The lady that works there(never got a name) stated as she opened the door that they were closed. I told her it was still 3 mins till and I just need to hand the stool sample to her. She said again "were closed" I said u closed early I got here 4 mins till and this other lady was already standing here. She said" on my computer it says 430" well even if that's the case your time is wrong. And she could had just taken it from me. But Instead she shut the door in our faces. That was horrible customer service. Just because she wanted to clock out. Idc if it was 1 min till. Your door says u close at 430. U do not lock your doors till 430. That's false advertising your times and unfair to customers who are expecting to them to still be open especially in my situation when I just needed to drop something off. Came here last week to draw blood for my 2 kids Age 1 1/2 & 5 month old... i was in such a rush I forgot my wallet at home, I was greeted by Naomi, ( orange red hair lady) well I told her I forgot my wallet at home and didn't have the kids insurance ID cards and maybe I can call blue cross to get the numbers and she's like no sorry ( with so much attitude) we need A COPY OF THE CARDS. I was like can't I just call in for the numbers. .she's like no sorry. . The people are very nice, however their corporate payment system is an absolute nightmare, I have been charged for 2 extra visits, and the poor employees in the office have no ability to settle payment disputes. There is no easy way to talk with a representative on the phone, and getting the extra charges dropped has been awful. When I came into Quest Diagnostics off of N Sunrise Ave, I was expecting to have a long wait time based off of a lot of reviews here but when I showed up, I was checked in immediately and sent back to get my blood drawn within a few minutes. Anytime I get my blood drawn, I get a huge amount of anxiety, but this time around I didn't. I didn't catch the lady's name that drew my blood but she was honestly amazing. She was so calm and got right down to business which made me feel so much more relaxed. Eight vials of blood and five minutes later, I was done. Awesome job! read more

Since I have to do a blood draw twice a year, I have become a connoisseur of those places in the Roseville area where I am going to get stuck with a needle. That said, Quest Diagnostics on Sunrise is my favorite place to get this service. They are open at 7AM on the weekdays, and the ladies there have always been super friendly and helpful. I am a hard draw, so I always have to have them stick me in the back of my hand. The service technicians at Quest do this with ease, and I have never felt like a pin cushion afterward. I can't say the same of the service from my own primary care doctor's office. All in all, if you get there at 7AM you are out of there by 7:15. Not too shabby. I will always stop by Quest when I need a blood or urine test. read more

Seriously flawed in their process- my daughter had to have blood drawn between 7-9 am and I have been here over an hour and still nothing. The lady at counter is rude and not very knowledgeable about policy. Apparently they need to scan insurance card each time you go- seriously? I asked what would happen if you didn't have it? She had no protocol for that. I get the appointment thing but they had no available apot. for the time we needed so that wasn't working. I will find a new place to go. Hire more people. read more

OMG! Don't ever let "Sally" do your blood work!! After waiting over an hour the first time I went in to this location, I got a call back to say they didn't take enough blood for all of the tests they were supposed to run. So I went back again, taking even more time off of work, sat for another 30 minutes or so and then "Sally" called me back. As I was sitting in the chair we were just chatting when, WHAM!! She shoved the needle in so hard and fast it felt like she punched me in the vein with the needle. I asked her if she was tring to be sneaky and suprise me with the needle and she said she was old and had lots of experience doing it that way! My arm was sore for a couple of days and I bruised like never before! The bruise was about the circumference of a baseball and then ran down my vein about 2 inches. About a week later, a lady I work with came into the office complaining of the most painful blood test she'd ever had. I asked her where she went and it was the same Quest location and, although she didn't get the name of the person who did the test, she described Sally perfectly. I will not go back to that location to avoid having to have Sally do another test on me! read more

I've been to this Quest location twice in the past month both on early Saturday mornings. They are one of two locations in Sacramento that are open on weekends so let me tell you, they are busy! Best way to avoid the crowds? MAKE AN APPOINTMENT PEOPLE. I walked through the door at 7:45, signed in, they called me in at 7:59, my appointment time was 8:00, and I was out the door leaving at 8:03. I am only getting blood drawn so it isn't a lengthy process but still, that's pretty amazing. Resulting in a quick turn around time for the patients who didn't make an appointment (we forgive you, do it next time.) The technician Anna who helped me was sweet and understanding when I told her I couldn't watch the process and might be playing on my phone to distract myself. There wasn't any type of "accident pokes" and I felt NO pain whatsoever. I will be coming here for the next few months so I will keep you posted if any issues arise, but I doubt it. Great Lab! Went there this morning on a Saturday no appointment and was in and out in 45 minutes and there were a lot of people there. The girl at the front counter is awesome! I think her nane is Cheryl or Cheyenne can't remember. But she was great! We laughed and joked etc. made a unpleasant morning more bearable. Especially after going to The Lab on Santa Clara dr in Roseville. What a dump. Only once I was there did I find out they don't take my insurance. The waiting room is dark dingy and dirty. There is no TV or any magazines and the lady at the front counter is old and grumpy. LOL I would highly recommend quest diagnostics if you don't have an appointment and find yourself needing to do blood work on a Saturday while fasting like I did.
