With an appointment, being seen on time is the result, because Quest policy is to provide service to all scheduled appointments prior to servicing walk-ins. Waiting area is sufficient for mobility devices such as wheelchairs , walkers, canes and more. Blood draw area can be a tight squeeze for wheelchairs but the phlebotomists rearrange things to make access. With a scheduled appointment, an experience at Quest has the potential to be optimum. The nurses are lovely, but this location is clearly short staffed and they are very overworked. Their customer service is lovely, they are all extremely kind and patient with the amount of rude people I see coming in and out. If you don't have an appointment, go somewhere else. More trips to this lab in the past 2+ weeks than I can shake a stick at and when I first experienced them I felt a 5 star was in the mix... However after visit 3 or maybe it's 4 in the past 2 weeks I'm going with the two star rating for now as redemption is always within reach, even for a business.... Desperate to find a lab near our casa as I was already feeling like hell I finally exhausted both Google and Yelp searches and gave in and phoned my health insurance company to see if I had a missed a location. That's when I would learn of this spot and after phoning in to learn of their hours would finally head down to have my test work done.... It's located inside of a massive business complex and on the first floor which makes it rather easy to access once you figure that part out: That it is "Inside" of it and not a free standing building of its own. Personally the way I see it is that by the time the majority of people who are in need of visiting a place of business of this nature, actually have a need, they feel like hell, are sick as hell and just want to find the place, register, exchange the least amount of dialogue as possible with anyone and get in and out and back home where they can rest... If I happen to be the minority who falls into this category then I wear my crown with pride. Here's what I know: ~ The office space is clean with plenty of seating. ~ They do not do ABG's or VBS's here you have to go to a hospital in order to have them done. ~ Once you make it into the back where the actually blood draws are done your in and out lickety split. ~ Come prepared with your written MD orders and insurance card in hand and show up BEFORE 8am if you need to be in and out early in the morning and show up after 2pm if you want to get in and out even faster. ~They do make appointments HOWEVER they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE EVER.... Only they don't and DO NOT waste your time leaving a message as their recording will tell you your free to do as they will call you back as they WILL NOT... ~The women manning the desk lack in common mannerism and are rather rude especially when their waiting room is at maximum capacity and they cannot keep up. However I personally felt that if the rudest one would have moved to the back to to assist the other one as in yes; just one Phleb drawing blood and left the pleasant female to mann the desk we all would have been much more satisfied from start to finish. ~They CLOSE FOR LUNCH. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous and not at all customer service orientated. Why? Because not every patient is either retired, on permenant disability or otherwise lacking in employment responsibilities meaning that the only time they can get into have their lab needs serviced without taking leave at work to do so is on their lunchtime. Very poor form Quest and quite honestly cheap as all hell. I've noticed over the past 4 years as I've had plenty of bloodwork drawn and the like during this time frame that all lab draw companies seem to have in attempt to save their own overhead expenses cut back to just one most of the time at best two employees who mann the entire lab during normal business operations. Yes that means the poor soul whose working the shift not only has to register the patients, answer phones and then lastly perform the lab work on each and every patient to which I again say: Bad bad and bad form for Quest Diagnostics as the different Quest location I hit before this one earlier in the day did just have the one person. read more

Went to this location with no appointment, was told that I would be accepted, the waiting room was empty except one other person. We both waited for a half an hour and they told me they couldn't take me without an appointment after waiting all that time. The other person had an appointment and they stated that they were late so they couldn't uphold it. Terrible location. I came here for my student drug screen. I called ahead and I was not told about the opportunity to make an appointment. After being directed here by a phone representative, I came during hours. No one was at the front the check me in except the post mates carrier delivering Starbucks. I did self check in and waited my turn. When I got to the front, a woman told me "they don't do those here" they gave me another address. I saw them turn someone else away for the same reason. I tried to find out how come they do not let people know on the phone they said they had no control so I asked who I could call. This must happen to people all the time if it happened to 2 in five minutes. They said I could call corporate but that corporate "has no control". Today I went to two different QD locations. This being my second location of the day. I see a trend in their staff. They are very rude and short with clients. At one point the front desk employee was asked what the wait time would be, and her answer was "it's a long time." They also seemed uninformed regarding the labs needed for clients. It is very hard to sit in such a hostile environment. The wait times are extremely long. If you're able to go to another lab, I would recommend you do. Go to a different Quest if possible. The reception personnel are walking HIPAA violations. My husband and I were sitting in the reception room waiting with about 10 other people when the man at the desk asks loudly, "who's here for blood work and who's here for drug testing" - like everyone wanted to disclose publicly. I mean they HAVE the check in sheets, don't they KNOW who is here for what? Then later a gentleman came in with what looked like a sample and the reception man was reprimanding the patient loudly about the leaked moisture in the bag. Then there was a woman that came in and only wanted to know the cost of a few tests.... they told her that she would have to sign in and wait an hour to simply get pricing because they would have to put her into the computer first. They don't have a price list?!? The wait for a pre employment drug test is on average about an hour. An HOUR to wait to urinate in a cup. The efficiency and lack of professionalism is beyond the pale at this facility. read more

This location is open 7AM-4PM with lunch hours they are closed fom 11:30-12:30pm. If you are coming here for a drug screen for pre-employment or random for work, they only perform those from 12:30-3:00 ONLY. From 7-8am the waiting room is practically empty. If you come in for blood work around 10-11:30 without an appointment, you are likely in for extreme wait times as that is the busiest of the morning. Same for when they open just after lunch. Expect lines down the hallway and heavy wait times without an appointment. read more

The folks at this location do a great job - when it's open. But it seems to be closed a lot. I had an appointment at this lab for 8 AM this morning. Quest's system asked me to confirm last night, which I did. I get there at 7:45 AM to find a locked door. At 8 am, I decided to call and went to Quest's website for the number. It said the location was closed all week. So Quest's website knew the lab was closed and it couldn't send a text to tell me? Not OK... people have schedules too. Quest wants us to keep our commitments and that's fine, but they need to keep theirs too. I took time off work, fasted, drove to the site. After reading reviews, I walked in at 3:40 without an appointment and had 7 vials drawn within 60 seconds - literally. If I didn't have to spend any time in the waiting area, I would have given five stars. The phlebotomist was great and didn't hurt me at all! I had an appointment and I arrived a few minutes early. The tiny waiting area was jam packed and there was no one sitting at the front desk to help me. So I found a chair between two people and waited. About fifteen minutes later, a gentleman finally comes to the front but doesn't seem like he can be bothered. He even ignored me when I first approached him about my appointment. Just completed an appointment at this Quest Lab. My appointment was at 8:00am but they didn't call me in until 8:20am because there is only one phlebotomist working at this location. That should be an OHSA violation to only have one person working alone. How about that person fell ill? She has no partner to help her in case of emergencies. I just had an incredibly frustrating morning at the Quest office on Auburn Blvd. near Bell. I needed to get in and out of the office as early as possible to get to work, but the earliest available appointment was at 7:45am. (I made the appointment a week in advance.) I reserved the time, but decided to arrive before they opened to be at the front of the line. When the office opened, I was the 3rd person in the office. At the registration kiosk I entered my confirmation number and then went to the woman at the front desk to let her know I had a 7:45 appointment, but would like to get in as a walk-in if it meant I could be seen earlier. She said she would work me into the walk-ins, so I took a seat in the waiting room. When she called the woman who had been behind me in line, I was a little worried but assumed she must have had an appointment for an earlier time. When she called the woman who was #5 in line, I went to her, apologized for being a pain, and told her I was concerned because two women who were behind me in line were seen ahead of me. She told me they were seen before me because my appointment was for later. I responded by saying that I registered before them and reminded her that I asked if I could be seen earlier than the time of my appointment. She said something along the lines of, "Well you signed in as an appointment, not a walk in. But don't worry, you're next." I returned to my seat and waited, and waited, and waited. At 7:45 exactly, the phlebotomist came into the room and called my name. To be fair, the phlebotomist was delightful, professional, and fast, and for that I am grateful. Under different circumstances, the extra 30 minutes wouldn't have been an issue, but because I needed to get to work, because the receptionist said she would work me into the walk-ins, and because of how much Quest emphasizes the advantages of making appointments, I left the office totally frustrated and wishing my Dr. used a different lab. read more

This is the most understaffed and slowest Quest. I don't know why I always end of up at this location but it's always the choice when I do have the draw blood or to do a drug screening. I scheduled a covid 19 antibody test today (to see if I possibly could have had the virus last February) and got right in after a few minute wait. They require everyone getting tested to wear a mask, and no one is allowed in the waiting room. Scheduled persons got tested before non-scheduled, and we waited in the hallway until called. I have been to Quest before and this visit pleasantly surprised me. I had been putting off a blood test for 6 months because the last time I went to Quest at a different location I waited for 45 minutes and then had to argue with everyone that worked there to tell them I did not have to fast for this particular test. I asked them to call my Dr, they did not. I asked if I could call my Dr, they would not let me. I asked if they would give me the test without the parts that needed fasting, they wouldn't do that either. So I said okay please just do my allergy test then, I know I'm allergic to a lot of things, my nose runs, I sneeze, I itch, when I eat peanuts my skin peels. They did that and left a huge bruise and when I got the results back it showed I was not allergic to anything. Needless to say this destroyed my trust in Quest for quite a while. The only reason I went back is it the only one my insurance takes. So I went to the one on Auburn. I had an appointment but I missed it. I went anyway figuring I would just sit there with a book. It was a horrible nasty icky cold day and lucky for me nobody wanted to go get their blood taken so they were nice people there and I was in and out in 20 minutes. No bruise yet either. The front desk woman was very obnoctious and rude (don't remember her name) and also she turned down an elderly lady because "her glucose wasn't high enough she needed to fast and come back" anyways I finished my test 4 hours later (only 2 hours are usually required)...
