I am a patient of the sleep medicine clinic, and I cannot recommend them any less (if negative…read morestars were possible, I would assign them that!). Since being seen by Dr Nguyen at the very beginning of June, I have had nothing but hurdles to overcome in terms of trying to seek care for my sleep (or lack thereof) issues. Dr Nguyen recommended a sleep study at our appointment and referred me for such. The first referral was denied because of improper filing in her behalf, and it took over a week of calling daily AND messaging through the portal to have the referrals resubmitted properly. Then, the second round of referral was denied and I was told it was because she didn't complete a peer to peer consultation with my insurance. After calling to speak with the doctor on Monday, I was told by the office that she would be contacting me by Wednesday to discuss what happened with my referral. It is now Wednesday, and guess what! Still no word from the office or the doctor. I have also had multiple messages sent on my behalf from the sleep lab where the study should be taking place, and from the patient relations department. AND, because of the nature of this study, I am required to keep a log for two weeks prior to my study and be off of my medications for those two weeks before I can even do the testing. This, combined with the fact that referrals take up to (and usually max out on) a full two weeks to process, I am looking at a minimum of another month before I get any answers. Truly do not schedule with this clinic or provider if you value your sanity or if you are actually looking for a caring team to help you with your sleep issues.

I had something in my eye, so I thought this location is closer to me. As the sign outside says walk in welcome. I told the front desk person the situation, she took my ID and then told me, that they couldn't squeeze me in. The front desk person told me, I can come back the following day. It's because the doctor had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. WTF. She referred me to drive to Folsom, I told her driving that far distance will be difficult because of my eye. Then she pond me of on other urgent cares. The prior year I had the same experience, where they tell me that I need to make an appointment. They need to take the sign off WALK IN WELCOME because it's all BS. The prior year I was told that facility was ONLY for like physicals and small issues, that is what they are equipped with. The situations I had were not major health issues. They need to put appointments ONLY and not give patients that false security of walk in welcome. Then when they tell me the doctor has a lot of paperwork to complete. As much as most people have to pay for healthcare, this is totally unacceptable. I going to get in contact with corporate representatives to show how a doctor has a lot of paperwork to do to see a patient. The prior year I thought it was just that day but it happened again and I bet I am not the only one that this has happened too.

This facility is the only one in Sutter in our area that has an ultrasound and nurse on staff for visualizing veins for the IV insertion. I asked! As soon as I was dressed in the hospital gown, Carly was the nurse who ably, quickly, and painlessly put in the IV line in a couple minutes. She had a competent and kind nature. I was very grateful as my MRI in February required 9 tries with lots of pokes and 45 minutes for a successful IV placement-all this happened while I was in the head cage midway through the MRI and I had to remain still. A bit of trauma remains from that experience. Jim was the MRI technician and he was no-nonsense, reassuring, professional, and all around excellent. The 3T MRI machine at this location was super comfortable and the head cage which keeps your head still was ample in size compared to others I've been in. The comfort factor of the machine was excellent. They had a film playing nature scenes and a radio station selection which helped to distract me. The MRI experience was 5/5 Signage to the imagining center was so poor we had to drive in a circle to find the suite which added unnecessary stress for a time sensitive check in. We followed the arrows but were led astray. Imaging is at the very front- and there are two separate imaging suites to top it off. There are three different medical entities in three very large multi suite adjacent buildings- Kaiser, Sutter, and UC Davis. It was also confusing to leave the imaging center to the lobby after getting dressed...again, better signs would help a lot. You are a bit confused after some of these tests.

At the time of this review, walk in patients are not allowed until 8 am (the facility opens at 4:45…read moream). I arrived ten minutes before 8, was checked in, and told I had an hour wait. I was finally seen at 9:30 (all those Urgent Care patients again....) So the key is to show up very early (on a weekday, btw) and bring a good book. The poor technician was rushing around like crazy. The representative was rude, unprofessional, and completely indifferent to my needs. I suspect that since all of my relevant information was in front of the representative, my poor treatment was likely due to the organization's culture toward people of color. I called to schedule a heart procedure. The representative kept me on hold for nearly 10 minutes and only offered an appointment more than three months away. Call me crazy, but a heart procedure is serious and should be scheduled within less than three months. When I asked for her name, she gave it and then abruptly hung up. I called back to speak with her supervisor, but I was placed directly on hold. This happened three times. On the fourth try, I finally spoke with a new representative, but when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was placed on hold for more than five minutes. When the representative returned, I was told the supervisor was too busy but would try to reach out the next day. I contacted the ombudsman, but they weren't much help either. I was given the runaround. Bottom line: be very cautious of Sutter Health. It seems that the organization's culture prioritizes revenue from monthly premiums over genuine patient care, especially for patients of color.

The front desk person was professional, attentive, and friendly. The location is convenient with easy access to the freeways as well as other stores. I arrived shortly after they opened on a weekday and was fortunate to be seen within a few minutes. The medical assistant and the physician assistant were both wonderful. It was a relief to be treated with such care and consideration. I also appreciated how they took the time to listen to me as well as explain what they could and could not do. They did not rush which made me feel more comfortable being in their care. When I arrived, I could not hear out of one ear and the other ear was slightly clogged. They clearly communicated what they were going to do beforehand and also what I could expect. They were gentle in evaluating my ears and irrigating them. They knew I had just been to the doctor the previous day and had a painful experience resulting in inflammation in one ear. I appreciated their empathy. I would highly recommend this urgent care!

(helps to have an extra copy just incase your employer needs it/ anything like that) the whole process time is effective and professional. they are payient with you and help to make sure you have everything completed correctly. definitely recommend!!!!!!!

So far, I've had a great experience at this location. I like that this location has everything in one place- you check in as soon as you walk in and they direct you to the right spot for your appointment. Even the bloodwork and labs can be done here so I'm not being sent off to another lab at some new to me location. I've been in for a few appointments so far and between the online information and front desk it's been a breeze to check in and proceed to my appointment. Each of my visits to medical professionals have been efficient, friendly, and have been low stress. Even planning appointments (though sometimes it takes some time) has been easy so far. I've been happy visiting this location and seeing the doctors here. One thing to note, the parking can fill up and you'll want to be careful in the lot as it's busy with cars and people.

More recently I started to see a dermatologist. First visit was very quick, glanced at my face and gave some care instructions. Things worsened and I felt the doc wasn't doing much examining rather than just prescribing creams and meds. Already not feeling confident with her, this last visit(or no visit) led me to terminate care with her. Appointments are not only hard to get, our personal schedules are also busy. I waited close to 2 months for this appointment. It was an early one at 7:30am. I live out of town, there is traffic, I tried calling twice while I was on the road. No answer. In the photo is my dash cam that captures my arrival at 7:35am I checked in and glanced at the time, it said 7:37am. I took a seat and was called back up moments later to be told that the doctor would not see me because of my 7 minutes late arrival... & to be completely honest based on my previous experiences with this doc she probably would've spent less than 7 minutes looking at my skin anyway. I was livid. Also, how many times have we all arrived for an appointment ON TIME and had to wait way more than seven minutes to be seen because our DOCTOR is running behind?! The double standard is wild. These are personal things, but I had been traveling for work all week. I was exhausted but knew I needed to make it. It was an early morning appointment. I drove a pretty long way. My visit wasn't anything intricate. I was SHOCKED. In complete disbelief. I think I'd understand if maybe I was 15+ minutes late. Or perhaps consistently late for every appointment but SEVEN minutes late one time & turned away. Not like I didn't take time away from work, or sacrificed sleep, or drove 30+ minutes to get there. Life happens and she should just be a little more considerate of that. Especially in a space where we go for "care." I have had nothing but great experiences here until my dermatology visits with Dr Nguyen. I'm going to start seeing someone new at a different clinic, hoping I will have a better experience.
