I absolutely love this facility. The technicians here are professional and make patients feel at ease. The lobby is really nice and calming. This is the type of quality care every medical place should offer. I went here a couple times. Once for breast imaging and another for an ultrasound. These are amazing people who know exactly what they are doing and I highly recommend you check this place out for all of your imaging needs. There is a parking lot where you pay two dollars cash. There's also street parking. I highly recommend that you check out getting an early appointment. The earlier appointments just work best for my schedule and I have found that the wait time is not that bad. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Sutter Imaging and Women's Health. Christina, my nurse care navigator, went above and beyond - I couldn't believe it when she actually called to check on me after my biopsy, and then called again as soon as my results were ready. Those calls meant everything to me. Dr. Nicole Carbo was absolutely incredible. She took the time to walk me through everything, never rushed my questions, and had this amazing way of putting me at ease. You could tell the whole radiology team really works well together. Honestly, I've had some pretty rough healthcare experiences before, so I was nervous going in. But this was completely different. During the biopsy itself, I barely felt anything - Dr. Carbo and the Sonographer (she was also amazing! Wish I had gotten her name) were so gentle and skilled. They kept explaining what they were doing and what would happen next, which made such a difference. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how rare it is to find healthcare that feels this personal and caring instead of rushed and clinical. This team really gets it right!!!! read more

The nurse who did the ultrasound for my husband on his leg she did amazing. She took care of him and it was good. I do recommend this place. My primary care physician sent me here to get an abdominal ultrasound and it was a first time I've ever had this procedure. I knew it was just an ultrasound, but being the first time made me feel a bit off. Parking to this location was only a dollar, if you are a patient. There is a lot of parking available. I opted for parking up at the roof (the penthouse feel is always the best! Ha-ha-ha!) Going to my appointment from the parking lot, I went via the elevator (which had dual doors). I pressed the level I needed to go to and was all alone facing the door I came in, until I felt the elevator stop at my level. I waited for the door to open...nothing! Until I heard a voice behind me all of a sudden, which gave me a fright and made me jump! Dual doors...the door behind me was so silent, I didn't notice it open! The voice came from a man who worked there, saying "Are you getting off...? I didn't mean to scare you..." I must have looked real silly facing the wrong door. I hate these hospital elevators... The receptionist, Melissa, that took me in was wonderful, to say the least. She was in all smiles, joked, and was very receptive of the jokes I made back. Made my feeling of being uncomfortable go away. And the ultrasound technician, Doreen, that was assigned to me was also very nice, very reassuring. The technician was kind enough to explain everything that she was going to do, which made the process go smoothly. And she caught everything that needed to be seen...even a little lump on my abdomen that I forgot was there! I don't plan on coming back soon. I also hope I never come back to this place. No one in their right mind would wish to always be here at Sutter Imaging. But if ever there's a need for the services offered here, I would never think twice about having it here. I made the mistake of calling to see if my PPO had finally authorized the breast ultrasound. I have a thyroid cancer caused by radiation so I try to avoid needless radiation. I have dense breasts anyway, they usually say the mammo doesn't show much, have a back up ultrasound for the masses. So I called to see if my PP was going to cover it or if I need the couple grand on my credit card to cover. Carla, in the scheduling pol advised me "I should give my appointment to someone who needs it" instead. I am not an entitled patient. I waited a year for the this appointment to be auth'd that's why was calling. To maybe cancel the appt so someone else could have it depending whether the PPO I pay out the nose for would cover it or how much to have on my card at the first of the month when rent is due. Strike one. I call to see what I'm looking at finally but "I should give my appointment to some one who needs it" because per Carla *I* clearly do not. I'm not a Karen, I'm not entitled, but I wanted to talk so someone about that. I'm sick too. I need my appt too. But its Summer so supervisor is available....people ARE allowed their PTO & vacations. Fair enough. But NO ONE is covering? Even just a call to say "Hey so and so is on vacation but she'll call you discuss when when she returns" as a customer service or patient services? Nope. Moooo!!!!!! We are all just billiable cattle. I went to my appointment anyway. Because I NEED the work up/study re my masses. So I watched the hushed huddle before I was called back. Yes. They were huddling about me just before the top bun called me back & gave me a half top drape even though I was in a dress. Not a gown. A top. I guess as a Mennonite modest woman I'm supposed to hang out in their half drape & panties? She didn't ask if I wanted a gown, or more coverage? She saw my shape wear at my hem & assumed I would be okay hanging out in my undies like the Sutter Woman's Center is dorm room Porn Hun or Only Fans scenario. Or Middle aged saggy missing body parts cancer patients gone wild! Nope. Not me. So I went to the hall. I waited for another patient to be brought back to ask for an actual gown, not just a top, as modest person, but also to cover my tummy tumor, like the shift dress I was wearing to not make the other patients uncomfortable-again-I'm not an inconsiderate or entitled patient. I WAS thinking of others. I waited to asked the next person in scrubs with the top bun of "author it tay" for an actual gown. So I was given a broken one w/no inner tie. I hope not on purpose. Still in the dressing room my name is called. No time to even try to figure out a different way to try to tie the broken gown over their half top. No callback is that fast. Yes. They're still huddling about me because I had the audacity, the turmerity to have the guts to complain that maybe Carla shouldn't be telling cancer patients they should "give their appointments to some one who needs it". So I was called into a an XRAY room, probably hot with radiation from the last patient. Recall the part earlier when I advised about my RADIATION caused thyroid cancer? That I'm not supposed to be around radiation? That why I had to call about whether my PPO would pay for the ultrasound since I'm "refusing" the mammogram radiation? I was made to sit in the low chair while a woman advised K the call center supervisor couldn'r be bothered to call me but she would speak for her in her place. Then she raised her iphone & took a picture of me. In my underwear. In my under wear. Recall the half top drape did not cover me. The gown I had to ask for "open in the front" was broken. Untieable. I did NOT give my consent as a woman in her underwear, cancer patient or even Mennonite (We're similar to the Amish about having pictures taken) as an bully intimidation tactic I was made to be vulnerable in my underwear & purposely sat lower than the woman & the "witness" & then had a photograph of me in my underwear & tummy tumor hangin'. Without warning or my consent. That is clear cut serious & willful HIPPA Violation. Let's be clear. That is also assault. Arguably, sexual assault. Sutter will argue its not, "because its in a medical facility". Any other "location" of photographing woman in their underwear WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT would be pornography. Or being trafficked. I did not not, I would not give my consent to be photographed. Especially not in my panties. Sutter will also make the argument the woman "did not take a picture" of me. Ask yourself as a person w/common sense mid year 2025: 1. If the woman didn't take a picture of me why did she sit me down lower level from her point her iphone at me w/a brown or dark tan cover & make the picture sound? 2. Why else would someone point their iphone at some one else? 3. Why, in a facility that used to be known at the Sutter Women's Health Center because there are boobs being imaged & studied would any "professional" bring an iphone into an exam room? read more

Great news! They are open on the weekend. Perfect for us as Mom is a slow moving 80 year old and since she had fallen we did not want to be in waiting room for an hour. Website said they were open until 5:30 so we came at 4:45. The guy at intake looked at her order and said they would have to do half now and half at another time. Longer than 45 min? He said well, we close at 5. I let him know that the Web advertises a different time besides that( I wondered silently), where does it say we stop what we are doing at 5 even in the middle of working on a customer ? If that's the rule it should be posted accordingly or change the closing time to 4 o'clock so all the work would be finished by 5 pm. He then told us we then had to pick which X-rays we wanted done first and the rest you can do tomorrow'. Unbelievable. There was 1 other person in waiting room when he told us to take a seat in waiting room and we'll come and get you in about 10-15 minutes, I laughed at this point. So Mom and I shuffle to waiting room, each step hurting her hip and leg. We sat down and within 1 minute the technician came to get us. I ran in front of her to tell him we want hip to be first and he said no worries I'm gonna do them all. Yes! That's customer service, that's pride in what you do and how you do it and my banged up Mom couldn't have been happier. While waiting for a friend I observed the administrative staff and several interactions with patients. A few times I was a bit taken aback at the curtness of responses from staff to general questions from patients. Staff should be reminded that people are often anxious, nervous, and clueless when arriving at a doctor's office, and no question should be considered a burden. Just be nice, even if you can't accommodate someone's request. To add to it, the lobby is very large and very open. Conversations are easily heard, including those in which you may be bashing your employer or co-worker. Maybe this was an off day for staff, and everyone needs to vent... but not within earshot of clients. read more

On hold (on different days) for 20+ minutes or more to schedule an mri. Halfway through hold music recording says you have 2 to 6 minutes remaining ...then when those remaining minutes go by, you get disconnected. Talk about piss you off!!! I want to get in my car and go to that locatiin and shout, "do you guys TEST these changes you make befor you implement them to the public???? Finally after 3 days and four attempts to call, i get connected and of course, an appology. And for sure, i felt sooo much better from that appology. Come on SUTTER, DO BETTER. PLEASE. read more

I had a PET scan August 22, 2024. It was ordered to be resulted per my oncologist stat. After 6 days, I called and spoke to the imaging department. I was told that Sutter Health has a staffing shortage of radiologists and that they are 12 days out on reading scans. Sutter touts they are the best in the land. How can they possibly state they are state of the art especially when it comes to cancer care? Patients also have a choice. Had I known it would take this long I would have gone elsewhere. Please check on who you see as a provider if you have a choice. This is obviously not the best. read more

FYI.. just be aware that there is only one x-ray room and technician at this facility so your wait may be long for a very short procedure. I was told at the end after my very long wait that the capital facility has four rooms and is much quicker. read more

Was told to check in at 2:30pm for appt. at 3. Was called in the room around 2:50, the nurse was very informative about the procedure I was going to have done. I was in the procedure room and on table by 3:05 and out of building by 3:25. I couldn't be more satisfied. Clean facility, friendly staff, very informative and on time. Sutter Imaging does a fantastic job. They have the latest best MRI machines. I researched who had what machines, Sutter Imaging has the best equipment. Seriously dont waste your time or risk a wrong diagnosis with other PET Scan, CT Scan, MRI or X-Ray providers. I speak from years of experience. read more

The front desk staff is apathetic and rude. I asked how long the wait was because I could not stay if the wait was too long. I was told 15-20 minutes by the person who checked me in. It was a 90 minute wait. I checked back in two other times over the lengthy wait time and was similarly given completely inaccurate times. The office manager would not see me so I asked the x-ray technician (who was great) what was going on, once I finally got called back. Apparently, he had given an estimate of 90 minutes to the front desk staff, they just did not care to share that information with those of us waiting. Their response to the patients' frustration showed they really don't care or even think of us as humans worthy of compassion - no apology and just frank rudeness for no reason. There is definitely something wrong with the culture in the x-ray division. See other reviews here that note the same experience with rude staff. Better leadership and better training is sorely needed. In contrast, the breast imaging center one floor above has provided nothing but positive experiences. read more

I have used Sutter Imaging several time from CT Scans to a Biopsy to X-Rays, I always had a good experience. Even my own surgeon said that the doctor who performed my Biopsy at Sutter Imaging did an amazing job. Sometime you can wait for an hour or so but usually you are out there pretty quick. My last visit ( November 2019 ) for X-Rays was fast, and Danielle, at the registration, was very helpful and nice. Jim, the X-Ray tech and his assistant were also great. Hopefully you will have the same experience at Sutter Imaging as I have in the past. read more

I cannot even believe the lack of professionalism the front desk worker has. Melissa should not be employed by sutter. Kate, the lead, checked me in for an x ray and said the wait was going to be long so I left and came back. When I came back Melissa was at the front desk and was so incredibly rude when I had told her I put my name down on the list to be x rayed and she looked me up and down like I was a complete idiot and literally YELLED to Kate do you know anything about this girl being here!?!? In the rudest tone possible. Made me feel uncomfortable as hell and I could only imagine how Kate felt. I told her I didn't like the way she was speaking to me and her lead and she gave me attitude. I also expressed my concerns to Kate and she did not seem to care. Highly disappointed with my experience here. read more

I went here to have an MRI. My experience was not good. The waiting area smelled alot like cigarette smoke. It was dark, dirty, glummy & stinky. I got there early and was called in 10 minutes after my scheduled appt. time. When I lied down on the table for the MRI machine, both sides of my back did not fit on it. My arms could not fit over my chest within the MRI machine, so for 35 minutes I had to held my arms over my head to fit into the MRI machine. This machine had to be for a child! What if I was obese-like 400lbs-how would I fit into this MRI machine. My right arm also got hurt while placing myself within this MRI machine. Not good at all!! Staff was ok, but seemed like they were in a hurry. Do not go to this facility! You will regret it!! read more

Interesting place. It feels like you're inside of a cave. Staff was really nice and they have paid parking. They don't validate and the most they will charge you is $2.00. Not bad! * NOTE: used to be RAS diagnostics until February 2014 when Sutter Health took over.. I mention the above listed intel as when I Yelped the location of where I'd be having my diagnostic mammogram with ultrasound a week ago it was RAS that popped up as the listing and had the information confirmed by Sutter who now occupies the ENTIRE building. Okay, enough about that. I have had more personal experiences with medical facilities and in doing so know great customer service and attention to detail as I do crappy CS, bad attitudes from said staff and ridiculous wait times.... Sara manning the front desk was the sweetest most friendly way to begin it all and continued to be that way thru my entire time here. I received the best customer service from each and every staff member I interacted with from start to finish and I encountered at least 6 different medical personnel on this maiden voyage 1 week ago. I was here for a solid 3 hours and that wasn't very long considering I had a mammo, ultrasound & unscheduled biopsy. I love the personal lockers that come with a key for stashing your stuff into while your waiting for your turn as well as the heated blanket warmers that were full of toasty warm blankets while your waiting in the personal sized waiting rooms and chilly from being minus the top half of your clothing that you walked in wearing ...... LOVED THIS! I also loved the beverage and snack areas located with the beloved heated blanket warmers that housed, pitchers of iced water, hot water and coffee with all the accompaniments that are located within each of the personal sized comfortable waiting rooms. PARKING: -2 Stars but not holding Sutter responsible as its a third party business who appears to own the built in parking garage that has piss poor business practices. First of all. There are plenty of spaces. Second rates are fantastic at a $1 minimum and $2 maximum regardless of the time your there... And now the catch. If you say have time to kill in-between your procedures and the like IF you leave said parking garage and have to return in say an hour then they begin the charging process all over again even though your coming right back AND have your original ticket there to prove your initial entrance and have said scheduled & easily confirmed appointment. I have an issue with this. And it's not because I am cheap. Its the principle of the matter. Your there parking in their lot because you have an official medical diagnostic procedure scheduled in the only building attached to said parking garage & your already on the hook for parking as you've already entered it and got your ticket. Now I can see if your using the parking garage to park for any reason other than to conduct business within the attached business, ie: Sutter Diagnostic but if your using the parking for the business its attached to then it should be treated as such. Rant over. Plenty of available parking both on the streets as well as their own attached parking garage make it simple to park in an otherwise difficult area to find available parking. Inside of building and outdoor landscaping is immaculate and clean, clean and lastly, clean. Swiftness of getting an appointment made me blissfully happy as I had just left my PCP's office and he ordered the diagnostics at the time of my visit. Took a chance & phoned Sutter directly to schedule asking for an appointment the same day. Wish granted and just 2.5 hours from when I phoned. Now I know this may be a rare occurrence but it was beyond convenient when working around my work schedule and enabled me to get it all done in one day. Mammography & ultrasound of my rack revealed I'd need a needle biopsy on the spot. I've heard horror stories of women about such things which included severe pain and this was my first and I have to say that from start to finish I felt ZERO pain. The thought of having my boob stabbed with a needle did unsettle me just a bit however it was fantastically pain-free! Even with the injection of the two numbing agents I never even felt the needle enter me. Let alone the multiple tissue samples taken. Pressure is all I felt and it roCked! big time :) I'm still amazed. Some bruising in the days to follow and a week later no residual issues with it. +5 stars for that experience. Biopsy performed by the Radiologist and her assistant Chelsea a Radiological Tech was bombtastic as well. She used uber warm jelly to perform the ultrasound, gave me plenty of warm blankies to keep me warm as I have issues with being cold AND the room was nice and dark while Zen~ like music played softly in the background.. Yep! I knocked the hell out and took catnaps in-between everything..... This is for all intents and purposes a 1-shop-stop of radiological diagnostics/services location & it appears I'm scheduled to be on a new every 6 month recheck screening now and will be coming here for them as I really really enjoyed the entire experience. read more

Wanted some information and the only response we got from the MOR was "I Don't Know." Managers need to train their MORs better so they won't be giving out the "I don't know" answer. You work in the medical field, you should be able to give out some correct information if Pt's is asking you. I asked the MOR what time they open and she didn't even know. How do you not know what time your workplace opens? Other than the MOR not Knowing anything AT ALL, the process was quick. read more

We get treatment in the SF facility for my dad's liver situation and occasionally need to do imaging at Sutter Health on L Street. The scheduling contact is unclear, a few months ago it would take several tries and getting rerouted to many departments for me to get routed to the correct department, so there's some improvement there from what I can tell this year. I got a call today about an upcoming liver imaging for my dad, the person on the call wanted to make sure we had a labs work done, which I appreciated. I just needed to confirm some details about the scheduling department and I am guessing the person on the other line is not from this department, she was very impatient and just wanted to shut down. Instead of addressing my questions, she repeated several times over "Ok, Ok, Ok" to my questions and just hung up. I haven't experienced health care professional with an attitude like this and feel I need to share. read more

I come here a lot and every time I'm there, they make me feel really comfortable. Doctors & techs are very nice! I get there, sign in & they'll call me back within 10 min, which isn't bad at all considering that place is always full of patients. It can get cold back there waiting for your scan but they always provide a fluffy pillow & an extra warm blanket, I usually nap in a recliner till I'm ready for my scans. This has always been the location I go to, wouldn't choose another. read more
