The phlebotomist looks young but I feel she has probably 50 years of experience! She is extremely skillful: quick, minimal pain and most importantly, no bruising afterwards. Im already working hard for my reimbursement and I just left the lab. Quest employee wouldn't take my Medicare supplement; they were supposed to take it. Now I'm over $300 poorer. Their billing department apologized for the error on their part. Only desperation will bring me back to this lab. This place doesn't take phone calls. No front desk person. The phlebotomist drew blood, takes payments, and I assume cleans the toilet too. They need people. read more

I wouldn't even give this Quest location zero stars if that were an option, they're literally in the negative stars. I'm filing a complaint in regards to disability discrimination and only accommodating one specific type of disability that that accommodation makes my neurological symptoms severely exacerbated. I repeatedly tried to get staff members attention to either turn it down or mute it and no one responded. So I actually went into the hall where the treatment rooms are to find someone to address this with. All 3 of the phlebotomists came out because I was literally had to raise my voice that high for anyone to actually hear me. The staff and office manager, I got her number and called her, repeatedly told me that they have to have the TV as loud as it is and on during business hours for people who are hard of hearing. The noise from the TV is basically for entertainment with a sidebar listing the order of people checked in to get their blood drawn. It doesn't give any kind of notification of whose appt is now being called etc, there's literally no reason for them to even have the sound on. I've been in there many times where it's much lower and tolerable and even muted. Loud constant noise past a minute or two makes my neurological symptoms severely exacerbated. I immediately asked them repeatedly to turn it down or mute it because of this. I was the only one in the waiting room. They repeatedly told me they couldn't because of ADA laws they have to abide by in regard to those who are hard of hearing. I called the office manager and the same thing. I repeatedly told them that this is cherry picking, they're only choosing to recognize and accommodate one specific disability. I repeatedly told them that this is discrimination. I also told them that I'm filing a grievance and reporting them all for discrimination and that this is completely unacceptable. I was visibly agitated and pissed off after repeatedly trying to get someone's attention and then being repeatedly told about the hard of hearing reason again. I wasn't asking for it to be off all day everyday, just the time that I'm there, you can hear the TV in the rooms where they draw the blood, that's how loud it was. They asked me if I wanted my blood drawn. I said that's why I made an appt and why would I have waited while my neurological symptoms continue to get worse if I didn't want my blood drawn?! The same thing would have happened if I came on a different day based on their reasoning and it's always the same 3 phlebotomists no matter when you go. The office manager suggested that I go out to my car and wait until my turn. I told her that my neurological symptoms are so severely exacerbated right now that just walking to the room for the blood draw from the waiting room is going to be challenging alone. And said that I really don't have the energy or ability to walk out to my car to wait and then have to walk back in because they're being inflexible in accommodating my disability. Had they been accommodating the first time I asked and explained that my symptoms wouldn't have been as severe. I'm literally tic-ing severely with neurological symptoms that literally you can see me physically vibrating that is out of my control while speaking with all of them, while I waited, and while I had my blood drawn. I'm honestly exhausted more than normal from this week and having to basically beat a bunch of dead horses trying to get healthcare workers of varying positions to "get it" and understand that these things that are happening aren't acceptable. I have no problem addressing issues, being direct, and confrontational when I MUST take a stand for myself and advocate, and I know that my advocacy goes beyond just me, it's for anyone and everyone who's experienced the same things I have. I can't just sit by and hope or wish that something changes because then nothing is going to change. Do better Quest, do better! read more

My wife had an appointment with Quest for three weeks before today. When she arrived 9 minutes late, she sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes before someone was available to speak to her and told her that if she was more than one minute late she no longer had an appointment. This is an outrageous lack of service orientation in a health care organization. As a health care provider myself, I will be referring my patients to Lab Corp -not Quest- for laboratory testing. read more

Appointments seem to mean nothing here. Don't bother. Their lousy sreeen said "3 minute wait" for 45 minutes. I typically use Labcorp....but they have no office in Sebastopol. I will tell you, it's worth the drive to Santa Rosa. I am done with Quest. At this location anyway. They are really bad. read more

Still not enough staff at this location. Appointments are not on time and there are too many people in the waiting room. Please hire more staff. 2 people ahead of me and they close in 15 minutes. I DO NOT THINK THEY EVER DESERVE ANY STARS !! worst appointment scheduling ever!! tried multiple times on phone to schedule an appointment from 1pm to 4pm while driving from San Rafael to Sebastopol !! called and tried to get appointment in each city on the way to no avail. Petaluma had an opening at 1:10pm when i called at 1130am. tried over and over and over, about four times before it took my last name and kept saying it couldn't understand even though i spelt out each letter and referred to a word that started with that letter. ie, A as in apple, B as in boy, etc... then i finally get the last name done and then they ask for first name and we go through the whole gosh darn process again !! and it does not register. very frustrating. and then that 1:10 appt is taken by someone else. arghhhhhhhh!!!! then i go personally for walk in to Sebastopol before closing at 4pm, i got there 3:48 AND registered on kiosk and waited and no one came out but they let out the patient just seen and said sorry we are done.!!! WTF!!! and the clock just turned 4pm. what horrible service the have all around from phone to staff !! no customer service any where with them and no body you can talk to on the phone at all !!! VERY BAD SERVICE ALL AROUND !! would rather go to hospital lab or another facility not Quest !!u read more

Terrible service. Didn't even receive care! Arrived at 3 p.m. needing an urgent blood draw, signs say office closes at 4, so far so good. Added to walk-in list via the automated kiosk, no reception staff at all. At 5 minutes to 4 someone comes out from the back and tells EVERYONE in the waiting room to just go home, they won't be served today. So why does the kiosk allow any number of people to sign up?? It should limit walk-ins to 2 or 3. The system knows how many appointments there are and how long it should take to process them. This seems like a very simple technical fix. Quest even refused to take a stool sample from a guy who was just dropping off. He didn't need to talk to them or do anything else. Now he has to do that whole process again, and I lost an entire day in trying to get my urgent lab results. Big waste of time, negative impact on patient care. read more

They seem to be relatively unavailable and no more walk ins. I needed a test before leaving on Vacation and they just don't have them when I need them and they no longer squeeze you in. The igrls are nice, its a staffing issue. read more

I live 3 blocks from this lab and will drive the 8.6 miles to LabCorp in Santa Rosa rather than go here. I have been a medical practice manager and I work in healthcare currently and I have never been treated so rudely as I was this morning by a staff member at Quest in Sebastopol. read more

If you make your appointments on-line the wait time is very short. First thing in the morning, I like to get it over with, especially for fasting blood work. Staff has always been efficient and friendly. read more

There are not enough people working at a time at this location and the people they have are under qualified or just out of school with no experience. The staff is kind but they are untrained and not very helpful. The two people working when I was there last could not figure out how to take a blood culture and I had to wait an extra half hour for them to call someone to ask how. Once they finally got me in the back room neither of them could figure out how to take the cap off of the tourniquet and spent minutes twisting the needle In my arm joking about how they had done this before and had no issues but I overheard them in the next room asking if anyone had done a blood culture before and both saying no. It was obvious it was their first time. It became very uncomfortable painful. There are long wait times in a small dirty room as well. If you can go elsewhere do. Even trying to pick up an empty container I had to wait an hour and no one acknowledged me, it was impossible to find anyone to talk to. read more

Went to Quest for bloodwork. No patients were in the office or waiting outside. They wouldn't do my bloodwork because they said patients with appointments would be comin in. Nobody was there, not even in cars. They said I could make the next available appointment which was 2 hours later and come back then. A waste of time and gas, and they were just being lazy. I have an immune condition and have been delaying blood work for fear of covid-19. Well at the insistence of my doctor I made an appt for first thing 7:45am. There were 5-6 walk-in people all milling around outside. When the office opened, to my shock, all the people were allowed in. I panicked over the prospect of being infected with all those people in the waiting room. Why can't they wait outside 6ft apart or in their cars? And what is point of appointments if you can't be assured safety? A very upsetting experience. I will forgo blood work I guess until either I die or covid is over.
