I will never go to this location again, because if I see this woman again, i am losing my mind on her. I kept my cool this time because she had a needle in my arm.

I came back the next day and her colleague was like, "WTF, not sure why my associate couldn't do this," and had no problem taking my blood and processing it correctly. I just had to go again today 11/17/18 for thyroid panel and this other phlebotomist here told me I should instead go to a hospital?!? To have it drawn?? I'm like are you kidding me? I've never heard of that. And then she somehow had the WRONG address for my doctor's office, even though the correct one is on the requisition and also what I verbally stated?????? Oh boy Meanwhile the Bay Shore Enzo location isn't much better; the phlebotomist there decided to randomly take "STAT" as well as the order for progesterone off of my beta HCG quant. order on 10/23/18; I was LIVID; an infertile woman doing her 3rd IVF and the person who drew your blood REMOVED the STAT? I had to wait nearly 36 hours for that bloodwork and I was a complete wreck-I'm still really upset about that. Unbelievable!

I…read moresaw a PA who prescribed a 10 day course of Zythromicin and a prescription antihistamine in pill form. Nothing ever cleared up completely, but I kept thinking by the time I finished the antibiotics it would. Within a few days of that, my infection was back. I returned to MedRite and saw the same PA. She then put me on a 10 day course of Amoxicillin, stopped the prescription antihistamine and told me to take Sudafed and breathe in hot steam. No nasal sprays of any kind were either prescribed nor recommended. Within 3 days of finishing those antibiotics, my sinus infection came back worse than ever. So I returned. After telling the receptionist that I had been there twice for this problem which had come back, I really needed to see someone. A friend had been surprised that steroids had never been given to me, and I mentioned this to the receptionist, that perhaps all I needed now was a steroid spray. The receptionist (not a medical provider) then told me they would not see me, and to find an ENT doctor. I was stunned. This was late on the Thursday afternoon before Easter weekend. I do not have an ENT physician, I recently moved to the area, and I informed her of that. It would be impossible for me to get an appointment with a specialist so quickly right before a holiday weekend, and I needed help now. She shrugged, and continued to refuse. I asked her to please go and talk to one of the PA's or doctors inside. She very grudgingly did that, was back out in about 20 seconds and said they refused to see me and to find an ENT. I was speechless. I walked out without another word, and drove to a different urgent care. After explaining to a physician there (not a PA like at MedRite) what I had experienced over the last few weeks, he prescribed two nasal sprays - a steroid and an antihistamine, as well as another course of antibiotics, Doxycycline. It finally worked, and I owe it to the fact that he prescribed the nasal sprays, which MedRite never did. I have never in my life experienced an urgent care refusing care to someone. Especially since the sole reason I was there for the third time was their own fault! It's shameful, and I would never walk into that place ever again.

I am an MD and I was hugely unimpressed with this company. I arrived around 2pm (a full hour and 15…read moreminutes before their already ridiculous 3:15pm closing time) and took time off work and fasted for the blood tests my doctor had prescribed. The one employee on site initially told me that she wouldn't do any of the testing because she didn't have time to do the H. pylori testing ordered because it took 45 minutes and she "had to close the office early" that day. She initially refused to even do the blood work because "it was all on the same prescription". The only reason I was able to get any testing done was that I was able to use my medical license to authorize cancelling the test that she couldn't be bothered to do. I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and the clearly poor organization of this company. I will definitely recommend that all of my patients go elsewhere for lab testing and will tell my colleagues the same. Addendum: So this company advertises that you can look at your lab results online. One week after my labs were done, still no results were posted. I contacted customer service and was told that they take "up to 30 days" to post lab results after the results are available, which is obviously totally unhelpful. How is that useful to patients who might be tracking their cholesterol levels, Hgb A1c, or other values with a direct and immediate importance to their health? Other commercial labs post results immediately -- it's not that complicated. This is a terrible, disorganized company, and as a doctor, I now will strongly advise any patient to go elsewhere.

He works in the Smithtown West office. Although he was alone at the counter, he gave every patient that came in his undivided attention. He explained everything to every patient and one guy who was obviously uncomfortable standing, he told him to sit and he would call him up when necessary. Recently I had Tissue Exam by a Pathologist. McClain Laboratories was the service provider used by…read moremy Doctor. My appointment was early April 2022. This week I received a bill for the balance not covered by Medicare. I dreaded calling but I didn't see anything regarding my Blue Cross Insurance being billed. I wanted to be sure before I paid out more money this year. Today I called and was amazed that my hold time was only a couple minutes. A very nice employee answered and after I explained my problem she was very thorough researching the details of the claim and my insurance. It appears that they left off two digits of my Insurance number. She said it could take a few weeks or more before my insurance is billed and responds. I had such a good experience and was so happy that I don't have to pay another bill right now that I decided to write a review. It's a pleasure when a billing representative that knows their job asks the right questions and takes care of the issue. I wish every provider allowed me to talk to the billing department directly!!

Parking is ample and the staff is friendly. The front office is clean and organized with lots of seating. The only real issue here is the area where you are prepped for MRI's. The area is large and open with zero privacy as you answer sensitive questions. You can also clearly see into each testing room when you are in this room. On the day of my last MRI there were about four employees in this space and the room was an absolute wreck. It was disorganized and it seemed as though personal items were strewn everywhere. Although the staff is wonderful the mess really does leave a bad impression. Lynn, a nurse who has put my line in most times I have gone for testing is absolutely wonderful with the lightest touch. I am always happy to see that she is the nurse when I arrive. Overall, best diagnostic imaging office in the area, just ignore the mess.
