They verified me the the blood draw by name and DoB. Waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time. Had a nice phlebotomist, she did a good "stick", used a butterfly and milked my like a cow. Meaning high quality of care - that comment for yelp. A quick trip to the bathroom for a urine sample, and off i went. Just a comment, Quest now requires verifyinh identity before online accrss by uploading you scannrd Drivers License to a commercial 3rd party. In reading that companies privacy statement, you have none. Including using your face to train AI. So, no more access to your data online - perhaps time to switch. read more

I hate this place with every fiber of my being. You absolutely cannot talk to a human. If there is any issue checking in, you are screwed. You walk in and it's like something out of a sci-fi film where it's people waiting with a television looping information, but a locked door for people to take the next person in the automated line that appears on the screen. We have to come here for my kids' blood work but there is rarely a time when there isn't an issue. It's impossible to get a convenient appointment before school, the only appointments are usually only available during the middle of a work day. This last time, I was here at 7a, when it opens. My wife had an appointment at 3:30p as a back-up but we did the walk-in to get on the stand-by list. The iPad check-ins (your only option) both weren't functioning, where you had to hammer it down so hard for it to register any entry. When I finally got the info in, it would only let me check into the 3:30p appointment and not just join the wait-list. We cancelled that appointment but the check-in wouldn't let that go, it kept blocking us. This went around and around and people kept coming in, getting ahead of us, now 4th in line if we could get checked-in. There's nobody to talk to so I waited by the door as the lady came out to get someone else. She didn't want to talk me, wouldn't make eye contact and kept calling the next person and I had to interrupt to ask how to get on the list. She said you can't at this point. I said, "Can't YOU or someone just add us to the stand-by list?" "No." Then she did say if we used a reverse name or something different, that can work. So, I had to use a different version of her name, which should mess-up the distribution of the results. While we were sitting here, other people were having similar check-in issues and the group had to try and help each other log-in, being the customer service that absolutely does not exist here. Imagine being that cheap to not pay someone to sit at a desk and check people in. Seriously. You are literally just a number here; give us your money and get out. read more

Very busy location. Even with appointment you will wait at least 35 mins with appointments & walk in be ready to wait for at least 2 hrs They should not accept walk in. I had a terrible experience at Quest Diagnostics in West Hills. After a Monday doctor's appointment, we went Tuesday for fasting labs, but the tech poked my mom twice because she forgot a sample. On Wednesday, we got a call from the doctor saying a crucial test was missed. We returned Wednesday morning, but after all this, we waited four hours. Susan, a staff member, was rude and dismissive, refusing to help quickly despite the urgency. My 80-year-old mother, who is fasting and has sugar issues, was left waiting in poor conditions. This was unsafe and deeply frustrating. I hope they get better staff who don't lack with common sense.... I would write more but you will not allow me to. Just for the record I went to quest diagnostics three times within less than a week. Oh wait--I left the location, and my mother stayed and waited for a few hours. During that time, a Hispanic woman opened the door to let another patient in and recognized my mother. She had a good rapport with her from the past, and my mom explained what was going on. However, the woman sent her to my mom's primary doctor to inform them that the testing had been done. When my mom went to her primary doctor, they told her they knew the testing had been done, but it was done incorrectly and was contaminated. So my mom had to go back to Quest Diagnostics. I booked an appointment online for myself without a doctor referral. I fasted for 12 hours before coming in but when I got there I was told I didn't have the necessary paperwork for the blood test and that I would have to reschedule my appointment. Now, I am a contract worker that works 10-12 hours a day sometimes 2 weeks in a row. It took me a month to find the time to finally come in and get the test done. And in doing so, I had to cancel a full day of work because I can't come in late. I am also scheduled to work every day from now until sept 17th (which may extend further) so I don't have the time to take off again for this test, as it has already cost me a full day of work and 12 hours fasting for no reason. I am extremely disappointed in Quest Diagnostics system for letting this happen. I should not be allowed to book an appointment and show up, check in, and get all the way to chair where the blood would be drawn, before I was told I needed paperwork. This is a major inconvenience and a massive waste of my time. I do not appreciate that Quest does not respect or value my time and I do not advise going to them for any lab work. My fecal results were never faxed to my doctor urgently advised It seems they mostly socialize and hardly recognize people waiting more than 2 hours. The facility is super clean and experienced professional services from people that work there, including Linette. All my appointments are scheduled in advance and almost all were on time. Have a lab appointment at 7:45am. When I shown up at 7:15, the lady who was in the reception table in room 520 asked me " do you have appointment " when she was talking on her phone. I said yes and show the online code on my phone. She said that i need to have appointment by hand and then she kept holding phone on her ear and then walked away . She even did not say "hi" before talking to me. I still stand and waited for her to finish a phone call beause I still didn't understand what was going on. Then she asked me again " do you need help". I shown my appointment on my phone and then she said louder that the systems go down, so I should bring appointment by hand again. I said I made appointment online and everything I have is online, the website did not say I need to print it out. She even didn't see my appointment on my phone and explain me how to print and bring it to her. I have to work at 9am so I can not go home to print the appointment and come back so I need to cancel it. I think in this case, they should help any patient to print the appointment out or write it out right away better than let they go home and come back or cancel that appointment because they need to go to work later. Arrived 10 minutes early for my 4:10pm appointment. One big room with chairs; tablets to check in by yourself and a tv on loop that also displays who checked in/ when/their appointment time. Walk- ins are displayed separately on a "stand-by list". Medical professionals do drop offs and are placed at the top of the appointment list when they check in. There is no front desk and all the employees are in a locked room so nobody is available to answer questions. No water available in the waiting room. When I was finally up; someone with the same appointment time as me that checked in after me and was clearly listed below me was called in first following a conversation in a different language with one of the employees. When that employee stepped out at 4:35pm in the middle of assisting aforementioned customer to make sure everybody in the room had appointments I mentioned this to her and she just looked at me and kept walking. I always give Quest Diagnostics a 5 star review. Had the worst experience there this morning. I took my mom to get her labs done and the lab tech wouldn't let me go back with her because of "covid". Mind you she was the only patient in there. I told her I always go back with her as I am also her caregiver. Even during the heart of covid I was allowed to go back with her while she had her labs drawn. The woman was so rude that while I was still talking to her, she turned her back on me, walked away, closing the door behind her. She said to me "you can talk to my supervisor". When I asked to talk to the supervisor, I was ignored. Miracle is another tech there. She helped us last time. She was amazing. She came out to talk to me and apologized. And when I asked her what the tech's name was that was drawing my mom's labs, she wouldn't give it to me. I am a nurse myself. I know all about the customer service experience in a healthcare setting. I will NEVER take my mom or myself to this location. This was only our second time there but but definitely our last time. You are treated as an appointment not as a human. You cannot take home a pee test where paperwork has already been done at 8am appointment and expect to drop off the your pee at 10am. I guess you have to pee on demand. There is no human to speak to and they won't answer the door. So even though they told me to bring it back they were going to throw it away. They asked for my date of birth through a closes door and inform another patient they were going to throw away my pee. They barely speak to you while taking your blood. The patient ALWAYS comes first, but this place doesn't believe that, clearly. A woman sat behind the desk the ENTIRE 10 minutes I was standing there and not once looked up from her computer to ask what I needed. Ridiculous and unprofessional. All I needed was to pick something up, I didn't need to give blood. Finally someone not on lunch came out from the other room and told me to sign in as she continued to walk away from me, AFTER numerous people were now ahead of me on the list. Had someone asked me if I needed help 10 minutes earlier there wouldn't be an issue, but these people care more about themselves than they care about patients.
