Excellent experience again, this time with Destiny. There were a lot of patients there, some who were frustrated due to not having an appointment or showing up late for their appointment. But Destiny had a great attitude, an incredible sense of humor, and made the process as easy and painless as possible. I received a false positive for a very stigmatized disease from this office and now I am stuck paying hundreds for that blood test and the subsequent blood tests to prove that I do not have this stigmatized disease. I no longer trust this office, as someone may be walking around with the disease they claimed I have, or their testing procedures are ineffective. read more

Cindy and Bianca were very kind. I know every time I go to get blood drawn I'm going to pass out, or at least get close to passing out. Anyways, the staff there was very reassuring going into it and once I started feeling dizzy they were very quick to bring me some water and a cold pack, which helped a lot. As far as getting blood drawn goes, one of the best experiences I've had. Staff is competent but the bureaucratic foolishness brings my rating down. Arrived at 7:30 to drop off a specimen only to find a 15 person line and no drop-off box. When I approached the one(!) person behind the front desk about dropping off I was told I had to check in!! So instead of reaching over and taking my envelope, she wanted me to get in the check-in line (5 minutes) then wait to be called (15 minutes) in order to drop off a labeled and sealed envelope. I turned around and walked out and dropped in in the mail. COMPLETELY UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. read more

I've been to Quest Diagnostics many times for blood work. This place get busy! Every time, the waiting room has at least 7 patients waiting. Ironically, what's unexpected is the flow at which people are taken-in, drawn and out the door! The average time you spend in the waiting room is 5 minutes, if that. The phlebotomists are great, specially Rodrigo. Since my pregnancy I've seen him 3x in 5months. He's fast at the computer and is thorough in letting you see all information is yours/correct before samples are sent to the lab. Hopefully this will be my last lab until next year but Rodrigo joked with me and said, "See you next month!" He's a nice man and very professional. The best time to come to the office is 2:00pm or after and you'll be seen right away. The only downside to this office is that they will never pick up the phone, probably why work is handled so fast here. If you ever need records you have to pick those up from the doctor that referred you to Quest, it's not their rule, it's the California law. read more

I give them a 3 star. Honestly the fastest quest I've ever been to. It was really easy to make an Appt, easy to find the place, and I was in and out super fast. But I took away 2 stars because of the girl that took my blood. She was not friendly, and maybe she was busy? Because she was rushing through everything. I mean, there was no one in the waiting room, so I have no idea why she was rushing so much. I usually don't mind getting blood work and it usually doesn't hurt. But holy crap this lady was so rough! I usually don't bruise either, but the way she was, it was not only uncomfortable, but she was rushing. And I just don't like it when people don't take the time to take care of you. She handled me like I was a mannequin. I never get discoloration and getting blood usually never hurts, but now I think it just depends on the person drawing your blood. If you are a busy hard working person with minimal time like me, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this Quest location. I came in as a walk-in, signed in, and was seen within about three minutes. The location was completely empty. There was no wait at all, and the staff was wonderful. I spent in total about 15 minutes inside getting my lab work done. Came in for a walk-in to get some work done for my field of profession. Was a bit tough finding the office but once that was out of the way the true problem arises. A caucasian, short haired blonde woman comes out with no sense of customer service or common courtesy throwing my paperwork to the desk than to the receptionist stating "We do no accept this..." in a ill manner. Sadly I believe she is the main doctor for the office and her representation today shows how poorly she treats her patients. Besides the nonsense she portrayed the rest of the staff was genuine and friendly advising I drive to Northridge to be assisted. I have to get blood tests weekly, usually done at other quest locations. I went to this location yesterday and it is by far the best quest I've ever been to! I made my appointment online, signed in with just a QR code. Before I could even turn around to take a seat expecting to wait the receptionist/phlebotomist called my name and made quick work of copying my insurance card and verifying which tests I needed to have done. She brought me back for my blood draw right away. It was quick, painless, and left no bruising! The cleanliness of this quest is immaculate. I was in and out within 10 minutes! Worst experience for me since the pandemic started. I am not typically a reviewer, but was compelled to write this so others can be prepared or make other, better choices. Had an appointment for 10:15, happen to get there about 25 minutes early. Checked in. I was fine to wait for my appointment time to come up and then get in, no problem. When checking in, there's an option to get a text when they're ready for you so I could wait outside. I wanted to wait outside due to the fact the waiting room was packed, people everywhere. It was the most blatant disregard to distancing I have witnessed from anywhere I have been. If I was to get Covid, and I have have been diligent to avoid any situation that's questionable, I would have gotten it today at Quest. And this is a lab! As my name rose to the top of the order to get in, my name was listed to get in within 1 min for 15 minutes, so after all that, making an appointment etc. they were late. I received no text and every time I would come in to ask about my time as they took in walkin's ahead of me, the rude person at the desk made a snide comment to go sit down and wait like we were in kindergarten, never even letting me ask regarding my situation. The technician who actually did my blood work was fine. This business is not well run, if run at all and is a joke. The only reason i would ever go back is if it's mandatory thru my insurance and I will be certainly let my insurance company know my experience there today. Quest has always been the McDonalds of testing labs. They give consistent service but there is room for improvement here. The staff is well trained and nice. However the management is absent, lacking, and I highly doubt well trained. Their copier and office equipment is constantly broken and they get no support from home office. Try calling and no one answers the phone. I've never seen any management staff present. read more

Very nice facility. Took my son here for some blood work. Huge and clean! On the 6th floor in West Hills, AMAZING VIEWS. Christine was our phlebotomist. She was very friendly and professional. I've worked and taught in the medical field for over 15 years and she was one of the best I have ever experienced In a lab, medical back office, or hospital. From technique, to sterility, to professionalism, and friendliness. My son was impressed at how much it didn't hurt. He hasn't had blood drawn since he was little (bad experience), and he is 17 now, so he was expecting the worst. Very minimal pain and no bruising. A++++ read more

I had a sample to drop off for a family member, and got there 4:27 (they close at 4:30) and the door was already locked. I knocked and told them I just had a sample to drop off and that I got off late from work and I heard a faint voice say: "Okay." Well, I waited 10 + minutes till they were leaving and asked if they could take the sample and the lab technician (who was extremely RUDE) told me she couldn't take it, because "her SISTER was waiting outside." I then asked if I could just drop it off to be picked up tomorrow, and she just replyed, "NO." What happened to common curtousy? Place runs a poor operation. I get there when they open there is 15 people in front of me, then i get to the desk and she tells me its $100 deposit upfront but they wont charge the card. It took about 45 minutes and of coarse I get home a she charges the card for the $100. After going to LAB CORP WHICH IS IN THE BUILDiNG RIGHT ABOVE THIS DUMP i couldnt believe the difference. No wait and i was done in 5 minutes at LAB CORP. Bottom line go to LAB CORP PEOPLE, you go right in and out with no fees and no line. They had over twenty people in a very small lobby. I couldn't believe it. This is a laboratory and they practice no social distancing during a time of a pandemic. Had mixed feelings going in because of the mixed reviews and bad reviews in other locations. I'm so happy to say that my experience was great! I took my four month old baby in to have blood drawn to test for allergies. Had to go twice because they needed two tubes and couldn't draw that much blood on the same day. Everyone was very courteous, professional and warm. If one phlebotomist couldn't get his tiny vein I appreciate that they didn't hesitate to get someone that was more experienced. They were patient and didn't rush anything. Waiting room was socially distanced, contactless check in and they checked temperatures. There is an option in their electronic check in to say you will be waiting outside. I was seen on or before my appointment time both times. Free and abundant parking. One word describes my experience: E A S Y Seriously, one of my doctors gave me a requisition to have 3 tests taken and I googled the locations and this one was the closest for me. I left work at 9:10am and got back a half hour later, (my job is about 10 min from this location), THAT'S how quick they were at Quest. I didn't have an appointment because I had read that they accept walk-ins, so i walked in hoping it wouldnt take too long. One guy was already signing in but another employee came to greet me right away while the first guy was walking to the back to do whatever he needed to do. The Phlebotomist took my insurance card and made a photocopy while i filled out my address on the requisition. I literally sat down for maybe 30 seconds before I was told to go into a specific room. As I was walking back, everything was nice and clean, the other staff members smiled and were friendly as i walked past them. The Phlebotomist drew my blood and it wasn't painful, she filled the 3 tubes while chatting with me, then pulled out real quick and bandaged me right up. The entire process from walking in the door to walking out the door was 5 minutes excatly. Talk about speedy service. It took about 2 minutes for the elevator to get back to the 6th floor and here I am. back at my desk, my absence not even noticed : ) Clean/sterile surroundings, friendly customer service and FAST!! read more

I frantically called them at 4:23 on a Friday, lost in the parking lot and without any idea of which building they were located in. Although the lady was very nice and steered me to the right building, she did mention to me that I needed to be there by 4:30 in order to be seen today. I ran as hard as I could, found the building, and dashed into their 6th floor office right before 4:28. The receptionist was nice, but that alone would not make me give them a 4 star rating... I did not feel it. Yea, thats what she said... I simply did not feel the needle being injected into my arm and withdrawing 5 tubes of blood. The nurse was so gentle with me that I barely got a little bruise on my arm. I tend to look beat up after giving blood but this lady really knew what she was doing. Anyway, I got my blood drawn and out of there in no time. I probably won't be back since I have Kaiser insurance but I would recommend this place for anyone needing to get blood work done. read more

Jose is excellent! He was fast, efficient, and trustworthy. My doctor is from out of state and problems with billing may occur just because out-of-state doctors are not in their system (yes, this bill is to be forwarded to my doctor). However, he re-assured me that he will make another call and find out if this can be billed through another way. True enough, few minutes later, Jose confirmed that they will do it manually. The re-assurance I got gave me peace of mind. I didn't have to cut my lunch break short, nor wake up early tomorrow to resolve this issue because Jose just made everything easy! I came to get a blood test and arrived at 4:32, two minutes after they closed. Before I could say anything to the receptionist, I was immediately told, "we're closed." After briefly pleading my case and asking if there was any way I could get it done while I was there, I was faced with another rather rude "we're closed." This is just about all the interaction I had while I was there. I understand if they can't help me given that I was late, but what really bothered me was the way the receptionist wasn't the slightest bit helpful other than telling me "no." Also, if they can't bend a bit or at least be mildly helpful/accommodating to make a customer happy, that's just bad business. I've been here before and they've done a fine job, and I will likely be back because of their convenient location in relation to where I live. Upon arrival prior to their 7:30am opening, there was a line of about a dozen people in the hallway awaiting the opening so my concern increased.
