I'm not sure how to accurately describe what it has been like to work with Scott Rutterbush as our realtor. Let me start by saying that both my wife and I were very particular in what we were looking for and we made that very clear to Scott from day one. He was fully understanding and knew we may not be the easiest clients to work with finding our dream house. This process started more than 10 years ago. That in no way is a negative reflection on Scott, he truly was a god send over the years. We looked at so many houses that were within our budget, unfortunately they all needed so much work, they would break the bank, which was something we were not willing to do. Scott continued to work with us, knowing one day everything would fall in place. Two months ago, we viewed a house that met every requirement we had been looking for. Knowing the current market situation, we had to put an offer in on the house without delay. The day we viewed the house, Scott submitted a contingent offer for us. Hence one of the other problems we have had the past 10 years. Not a lot of buyers want to accept a contingent offer especially since our house was not even on the market. Scott spoke with the seller's realtor and explained that if our offer was accepted, our house would go on the market within days. Scott also provided the seller's realtor with comparable houses in our sub-division that had recently sold. Not one had been on the market for more than 2 weeks without accepting an offer. The sellers accepted our contingent offer. The real pressure was on Scott now to not only get our house listed, with professional photographs, but to more importantly get it sold. Scott was able to get several offers that met our full expectations. Obviously, we accepted what we felt was the best offer and were able to sell our house very quickly and purchase our dream house. Of course, there were several speed bumps during the process, which were to be suspected. Especially since we were using a VA loan. Scott seamlessly worked with our mortgage broker, insurance agent, buyer's broker, seller's broker, and several title companies completely smoothing out those speed bumps. Additionally, Scott had to deal with my OCD. I guess that's a good thing because he and I share that trait. He does not miss a thing. Obviously, I am happy to say that we are finally in our dream home. We must give Scott a lot of credit for sticking with us over the years. Drew was absolutely AMAZING to work with. From the get go he understood that we were very involved and liked to sort through houses ourselves. He made a wide search and let us sift through it, and made sure to keep us updated (pretty much nightly) whenever there were new listings.
