I'm a 29yo, 5'7" male and pretty skinny, so even slim fit clothes are often a little baggy. After a particularly frustrating shopping trip I ended up searching on yelp and found Joanne. After discussing my needs, I decided to bring Joanne several pairs of pants and shirts for alterations, which she had done in no time. I like to dress nice for work, and I know I'm going to look so much better with well fitting clothes. It was also extremely convenient because we live right around the corner from each other! Dropped off 3 suits for dry cleaning on 12/31, was told they would be ready for pick up by 1/3. So…read morefar so good... On pick up, things quickly went south. Thank goodness I checked the items in store, as I noticed 2 of the 3 pants in my order were missing. I notified the receptionist at the time, and we managed to find one of the pants attached to someone else's name. I was told they would reach back out over the weekend if they found my pants, or at least to give me an update. On Monday (1/6), I still haven't received any updates, so I called in to check. The phone was picked up by the same woman who had received my suits initially. On asking for updates, she took immediate offended tone and said to call back at 1, when the new truck would drop off orders. I explained that my clothes weren't missing because of a delay, but because they may have been given to someone else, and was told "You've tried to ask the same thing 3 times, but in a different order, if you ask again, I will hang up." So in the hopes of getting more context, I began asking her for if she remembers anyone else when I dropped off the order, but before I could get two words out, she actually hung up on me... Overall, service quality is perhaps the worst I've ever seen and the dry cleaning itself (for the pieces I actually received back, anyways) was mediocre at best. I'm saddened as this store used to be run by a nice couple which provided great service, but had recently retired. The store as it currently is being run is not even a shell of its former self and should be avoided at all costs.

I ended up spotting my suit just laying on a shelf, but they didn't dry clean it. So I had wait and I go to pickup the day before the wedding and the delivery guy wasn't there yet...so I had to go back a third time an hour later that day and finally got it. Long story short, way too much disorganization and stress for a simple dry cleaning, and I was still charged full price.

I brought the suit to Thomas Clothiers and they assured me that they could save my suit. 3 days later I went to pick it up and they could not have done a better job. The suit came out excellent. The entire experience was like a well-oiled machine…read more I called to see about booking an appointment and they gave me all the info I needed in one sentence-- that it was drop in, they'd complete the visit in 30 mins, make the alterations in one week, just bring the dress and the shoes. I was seen immediately when I walked in despite it being mid-day on a Saturday. The tailor clearly knew what he was doing and was able to suggest solutions to help fix all of the issues I was worried about. I was very impressed by how quickly and expertly he made the necessary pins, marks, and suggestions. When I picked up the dress they had me try it to see whether more modifications were needed. It looked great, however a few dark marks had appeared on the dress since I dropped it off. To fix this, they got it dry cleaned within a few days. Overall it was a great experience!

While on my way home from work yesterday, I remembered a clothing and tailoring shop I pass each day on my way to and from work daily. The Asian Clothing & Tailoring shop on 622 Lake avenue. So yesterday while on my way home I decided to stop and have it repaired. I was greeted by 2 young men who worked there and I explained what I needed. They pointed to the back of the store where a man was busy arranging inventory. I spoke to him and and he said he would stitch it for me. It only took a minute and he gave it back to me, No Charge!
