Did a great job on framing one print. He also switching out original glass with non-glare glass & I noticed that he must have trimmed off a bit of the print because it looked like it fit better against the glass. Also added a tape all around the back part making it secure.

The only place in LA I will go to for framing. I have been coming here for almost 7 years & will never go anywhere else. Okay they're supposed to be open on Saturdays up until 6 p.m. And its 1220 in they are closed and they do not have any hours posted on their door whatsoever. That's frustrating. When you call you don't even get an answering machine that tells you what their hours are. read more

I have heard from several friends that Quick Frames had the best prices you can find this side of town, and that they did great work. I came in and needed a large frame immediately for a gallery showing later in the week. Gary was very helpful and worked with me to get it in time for the show. It turned out to be way bigger than I originally expected (about 40"x46") but it looked absolutely beautiful. I trusted Gary's instincts and I'm really glad I did! After searching for an inexpensive but quality framer (surprisingly difficult to find) after my previous one changed ownership, this Atwater Village joint on the corner of Los Feliz across from the Costco complex is aces. My last task at my former job was to get items framed for event honorees, including a longtime, dedicated volunteer that required both class and speed. After Aaron Brothers told me that my request would not only take over a month and cost an arm, a leg, my liver, my kidney and my firstborn due to very specific matte cuts, I was able to get a significantly reduced quote for a faster job thanks to Gary. I will definitely use Quick Frames for my future framing needs. read more

They showed me several different frame and matte samples to figure out what worked best with the stuff I needed framed, and they didn't get impatient when I was fussy and particular, and asked for other options. They paired this super precious collage print I had ordered online from my favorite artist with a very sleek and simple frame that drew attention to and centered the piece perfectly. They also found a wonderful, retro looking walnut (?) frame for these very old photos of my parents that were taken in the 70's. The final product looks like something you would find in your grandparents' house. Now I have a glorious piece of family history that can remain preserved long after they and I are gone. Altogether, it was a little on the pricey side, but they took such good care of these precious items, gave me a result that was even better than I expected, and I could not be more satisfied! The order took several weeks to finish, since they were pretty busy and backed up with orders due to the pandemic and supply delays, but it was still ready within the time frame they promised and it was 100% worth the wait AND the cost. They offer different options for the type of glass too--you can even spring for museum-grade glass that doesn't glare at all!--I went with the cheaper glass option and it still looks incredible. The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

Because of all of the great reviews, I took an original painting from our travels here to get framed on a 100 x 60 cm frame. We called around and found that their prices were better than most, but the clincher for us was that it would be ready in 2 days. When we got there, we were told that for a heavier frame (like the original frame we saw it on before buying) we were going to have to pay more - about the same price as the other places. After that, we were asked when we needed it by, and when we said there wasn't a hurry, he said to come back in 6 days. Now, we did say it wasn't a rush, but I was expecting a great framing job given the extra time. But when we got it back, the frame was off and part of the painting was overstretched on the sides and top and the painting was then cracked. I should've just taken it to someone a little more local and paid the extra price. UPDATE: I decided to up the rating of this place due to the response from the owner. I have to admit that I'm a frame newbie so I didn't realize that what I perceived as problems with the owner were probably typical issues I would face with any stretching done. So, to be fair, I added a star to account for my virgin framing experience. I would have added more stars if the owner had read my mind and told us in advance that we would probably lose some of the edges of the painting due to the stretching, but I suppose that's too much to expect, right? read more

Came here on the recommendation by print shop I went to to have my photos enlarged and developed. I brought 3 16X20 and 2 20X24 photos to have matted and framed. The guy helping me was able to figure out exactly what I wanted and showed me several different options on how I could frame my photos. After two hours (sorry....) I finally was able to decide on which option I wanted to go with. The whole job cost me about $250 and he told me to come back in about a week. After I left I decided to check out a couple of other places just to make sure I was getting a good deal. Aron Bros wanted almost $600 for the same frames and another local shop wanted about $400. Are frames really that expensive? I began to worry a bit as to why Quick Frames was so affordable. Well a week later I went in to pick up my artwork and they looked perfect! I carefully inspected the frames to see if there were any flaws and could not find a single one. I'm HAPPY!!!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality frames at a reasonable price. read more

I'm not usually compelled to document and rate all of my consumer experiences (this is my first EVER yelp review), but Quick Frame is so wonderful I just had to spread the word. I went in there with a poster and four smaller works on paper, hoping and praying that I was not about to spend hundreds of dollars for my very modest framing needs. I told him what kind of frame I wanted on each piece, and after testing out several different options, he brought out a completely different style and color of frame than what I originally asked for. Of course he picked out the most perfect choice that I never would have thought of, and I went with it! I walked out of there, having paid around $120 for FIVE pieces to be framed, hoping that the low price wouldn't mean a slapdash job. I am pleased to report that I picked up my art yesterday and couldn't be happier. I intend to go to Quick Frame for all my framing needs and send all of my friends there too! Go! read more

The other day I went to Aaron Bros Art Mart to look for frames for a large art print of mine. The only frame I could find was made of plastic and looked cheep and cost $50. Plus there would have been a substantial additional cost to size my print to fit the frame. I found Quick Frames on line and went in. The owner took time to help me pick out a frame and matting. He was very helpful and patient with me. Not once did I feel as though he was trying to 'sell' me on choosing a more expensive option. I ended up spending $80 for a metal frame with mat, glass (not plastic) custom made to fit my print. A total deal. Since then I have had 3 more art pieces framed there as well. Came in to this place after seeing the Yelp reviews. Got 3 posters frames for about $75. Picked it up a couple of days later and they looked great. Very pleased with the work so I decided to bring in some higher end art work. I bought a litho in NY that cost me an arm and a leg. The guy that helped me the first time helped me figure out a nice frame along with some nice mats. Everything was conservation quality and here's the best part....it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. The workmanship was excellent and I'll definitely be using these guys again. read more

I collect poster art and other odd things and have been going to Jonathan at Quick Frames for years with my most cherished items. He's always been helpful and his prices are great. The art that fills my home is a constant reminder of how good this place is. There is only one piece of artwork that wasn't framed in at Quick frames in this series of photos and i bet you'd never be able to tell.
