After looking on Yelp at reviews I called Road Runner because I've driven by their shop hundreds of times (live a mile away). Called and spoke to driver. Gave my location and the address of my mechanic. Guy said he'd be there shortly. I thought "ya, right." Then called immediately back and asked price. I can't recall how much it was, but I remember thinking "that's not horrible." Much to my surprise, tow truck arrived about 15 minutes later! Guy was cordial, and almost apologetic for how much he charged (which was the price quoted on the phone). This was about 3-4 weeks ago. Looking back, I realize the service was great, and the price was very fair compared to what I've experienced in the past. Around 35 miles and an hour round trip.

He got my car started but unfortunately it messed up so I called him to get my car towed to a place on Cumberland Rd and he did that but when the repair shop told me I had to get a new engine I called the tow truck and they towed my car to my home town which was lumberton nc I really valued their care concern and the willingness to get my car safely home. I had 3 out of my 5 lug nuts break, and the other two were loose and coming off. I limped my truck off the highway and had to stay the night (I was on my way to Virginia). As the next morning started, I was contemplating how I was going to get my truck to a shop and get it fixed. The next morning came and I saw a flatbed wrecker show up to the motel to tow another vehicle that was broken down. I walked up to Nick and asked if he was interested in towing my vehicle in the morning to get the repairs I needed to be fixed. I explained my situation and that I need to get back on the road asap. Nick never missed a beat and assured me that the truck will be towed and the repairs would be done by him and his shop. Nick, made a awful day a great one. Nick also called with an alternative after he dropped the truck at the shop, in an attempt to speed up the process. I also talked to Nick's (boss) Sean and he was so helpful and assured me that this will be taken care of and I should be on the road on Monday so I can complete my trip. I was nothing but, respectful, transparent, and accountable with the two mechanics, paid to get two…read morecatalytic converters replaced and a transmission housing seal replaced. the catalytic converters was replaced good on the vehicle but, the transmission housing seal wasn't, it continued to leak. I asked about it and it wasn't the same seal that was took off (then why still install it and not tell me at that tiime?) I accepted responsibility for that and ordered the correct seal that was given to me by William. I was quoted $80-$100 for them to replace the seal with the correct one. Seal was ordered, the two came out replaced the incorrect one charged me $100 and it still leaked and had noticeable damage from banging. I communicated that to them, I got no response back for a week, so I requested $50 back since the problem wasn't fixed, still no answer. To make a long story short I took my vehicle to the dealership, I had to replace the seal again and the leak is no more and fixed. still haven't heard or received my $50 I requested from them.
