I went here with my friends and we bought some snacks, then went outside to eat at the bench area. One of my friends went back inside to use the restroom and briefly checked the candy aisle looking for something specific, but didn't find anything. After using the restroom, he came back outside. Shortly after, the manager came out and accused him of stealing. We immediately showed him our pockets and explained that nothing was taken, and even asked him to check the cameras. Despite this, he threatened to call the police and told us to leave the picnic area for "loitering." The situation felt completely unnecessary and was handled very poorly. Even after it became clear that nothing was taken, there was no apology instead, we were removed from an area meant for customers. Given how the situation unfolded, it also felt potentially racially motivated. Overall, this was an uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. Quick Chek offers a great selection of "quick" eats! Their preparation counters are clean and very well kept. They are quick and efficient with every order. If you ever stumble upon Quick Chek, do try their Pork roll, egg & cheese on an English muffin, macaroni and cheese, and their variety of soups! The Chicken pot pie and broccoli cheddar soup hit different on a cold winter day. They NEVER have fountain soda. Either the machine is broken or they're sold out. Get a working machine and if a particular soda is a best seller, ORDER MORE! It's a no brainer. I was there last night I almost get hit by a drunk driver . Drunk driver then rushes to attack me while I'm trying to enter the quickcheck . His friend working at quickcheck wants to protect her friend by being prejudice to me . She took sides with the drunk driver didn't help me by calling police and says I'm drunk . I then call police myself and she tells her friend to leave . Protection for a drunk driver . When police arrive she tells them she doesn't know the drunk driver she doesn't want me come to the store . How unfair so cause I wasnt drunk and I didn't die in her friends hands I'm not allowed . My Friend was carded for cigarettes. I tried to buy them instead and was refused. She went to get her id and it was expired. Would not let me buy them because we were together. Husband goes in and asks for them. She laughs. Doesn't card him! Says he has gray hair and she could tell. One minute the store policy was to card any and everyone, the next was to refuse to sell them to me because I was with her and then she profiles my husband as OLD and insults him and breaks policy. I left this review a year ago and still the same, not a single breakfast sandwich available at 6:30 am. I guess the manager is still sleeping. I will keep going to the WAWA up the road. No breakfast sandwiches ready for a quick pick up at 6:20 am, also out of QC Reserve coffee, took them 15 mins to make a breakfast burrito with hardly any customers. One of the things I like about the Jersey Shore is Quick Cheks and Wawas, a novelty to us to come from NYC area. Go in, order your sandwich via a computer, and it gets made. You order through a computer... so it shouldn't be hard for them to mess it up, right? Apparently wrong. My husband, BFF and I decided to go to the beach and thought we were stop in to grab sandwiches. My husband grabbed the pre-made ones, but as I needed a veggie friendly sandwich, so I waited on line to do my thing on the computer. I ordered a cheese sandwich. No meat. I even checked the receipt to make sure no meat. We got to the beach, set up camp, sat down to eat, unwrapped our sandwiches, guess who's sandwich, which was clearly labeled a cheese sandwich on the label affixed TO said sandwich, had meat. Luckily my BFF had packed pasta salad for us or I would not have had lunch. So glad I wasted $6 on a sandwich I couldn't eat. I would suggest if you get a sandwich from here, open it up when you get it to make sure it's correct because clearly they can't get it right even though they have a label in front of them. read more

Have been coming here for years. Really got spot to get iced coffee before hitting Sandy Hook or a sandwich on the way back from Striper fishing late night. Gosh, I remember frequenting this location before the deli machines were installed! I miss the days of simply telling the employees "Original Italian w/ everything on it". In either case, good quality coffee and subs. My only complaints are that I dont remember this location having public restrooms and they definitely do not have a gas station. This Quick Check is brand new. Built completely from the ground up. I think it's less than a year old. They usually have a few people making sandwiches at a time, so you never really have to wait long. Their food/ snacks and drink selection is on par with the competition. They even have some frozen foods. The inside is huge and bright and they now have about 4 self checkouts and bathrooms as well. Best of all, they have a pretty large gas station, making it the only gas station within a 10 minute radius. The gas prices seem to be average/ lower compared to most other places. read more

While the Quick Chek store is great, the gas station service is NOT. The attendants are SLOW, and rude....especially the younger ones. If you feel like wasting 10 min waiting for an attendant to give you some service, while they stand around chatting, then you won't be disappointed. read more

The new one just opened and the girl making sandwiches dropped the F bomb in front of myself and son, she and another employees were already discussing their smoke breaks (thus the F bomb). The crew is under 25 (maybe 20) and it didn't seem as comfortable as the older place around the corner. You also check yourself out. There is a table to sit outside, but it's next to where they go outside to smoke. Our wraps tasted fine, but are pretty small for their price. I would really suggest "Slaters" for sandwiches and Wawa for coffee, both close to each other down the highway and on the other side. They're both worth the 5 minute drive. read more

Pretty new and gas station has good pricing. The attendant at the gas station tonight was an older guy pumping the gas and he just ignored my car until I blew my horn, then he wandered over like he REALLY did not care. Started the pump and wandered away to talk to the other patrons at the gas station. My pump went off and he was just not paying any attention. He began to walk to my car, stopped and turned to another car that was still getting gas. I was going to blow the horn again but said to myself I can just as easily finish the sale myself (though not supposed to in NJ) and did so. He never looked over to see if I was doing things correctly. I had BAD service from this older guy tonight. I called the QuickChek and asked his name, the guy answering the phone knew who he was immediately and told me I could call back in the AM to talk to a manager. Hopefully the manager will see this review and modify the customer service at the station. I go there since it is very convenient for me and reasonably priced. Awful service. Waited 25 minutes at the so called "quick" check for my much anticipated Tuna wrap. After waiting, they THEN decide to tell us that there is no tuna in the house. After telling her to replace the tuna with turkey and ham and keep everything else the same, we arrived to the beach with a completely inaccurate order. There was no cheese or vinegar on our sandwich. Ruined mine and my friends Labor Day 2015. Extremely disappointed in the service at this once loved convenience store. read more
