This is great park tucked away in Annapolis. As of date it's only $6 to get in per car, and worth it. The front of the park has lots of area for picnics and BBQs and a nice area for the kids to play. Farther back is a beautiful garden and sitting area. This is also the area where the ice rink is in the winter months. The front of the park has a exercise trail and bike path. Continuing to go back are areas you can rent for big parties or get togethers. An my favorite part is the dog park, a huge fenced in area with a separation for large and small dogs. I bring my dogs here and the can run leash free and burn off all that energy!! But please no kids under 6 or so, the sign states this but people still bring them in. It's not a good area for kids. It's not might for them to run and jump, a small dog could get hurt. An for a romanic or just relaxing time the far back part of the park has a water overlook that is just beautiful!! There's done of hidden walking and biking trails and off those are hiking trails that take you to more remote area of the park. The mid area of the park we found a rental area for Canoes, Kayaks and bikes. I love this park I really do everything is always clean and well maintained I feel the money I spend to enter is actually used for good. read more

This is just about the ice rink. Everything about this operation is unprofessional. The quality is terrible; its mushy, wet, deep grooves. The skate guards are totally useless. I have little kids and no longer feel comfortable taking them there because you have teenagers racing around the rink, throwing snowballs, crashing into each other, skate guards do nothing. The Zamboni driver is yacking on his cell phone while driving the machine inches away from kids. Stay away if you have little kids. Its a lousy operation. read more

Quiet Waters Park is not bad, but doesn't seem to offer anything unusual or special. There's hiking trails (mostly for families and dogs), and some boats you can rent. I will say that the shore area is a nice place to sit and watch the birds. The park seems to be geared a lot towards hosting events. If you want a relaxing nature day just in the Annapolis area, this would be the way to go. I found it on accident one day when I was driving up and down between Annapolis and the DC area looking for somewhere to enjoy the beach (there are a lot of beaches pictured on my map of the area, but many of them, unfortunately, are private). If you're a serious hiker or water lover, I would travel elsewhere for a better, more authentic experience. read more

Nice little park with some waterfront. For us normal people without our own waterfront access, it can be a little hard to come by in these parts. Also, you can rent a kayak or canoe and explore around some of the coves - which is the highlight for me. read more

We went to Quiet Waters yesterday (Sunday of memorial weekend). It was not too crowded and best of all has a place to rent canoes (and Kayaks). It's 20 bucks an hour but well worth it. You can canoe past houses and the park - we saw blue herons. There's also a sandy bank just 50 yards from the dock where you can beach your canoe and then swim around. There were many motor and sailboats out and about yesterday but it just added to the party - it wasn't a problem. The place also rents paddleboats, kayaks and bikes. read more

The park is clean and has nice trails for running, walking or biking. The park has different areas for parking and having a picnic. There's a dog park for small and medium/large dog. The people at the gate are very nice. They give a free dog treat if you bring a dog with you. read more

This is a great park in Annapolis for exercising, bike riding and canoeing. Last time I was there I saw a wedding! It was gorgeous. Gets crowded on the weekend and you do have to pay per car to get in to the park. Other than that its a great little place by the water. read more

What a gem! This park is pleasantly nestled away in a bustling little city. Just outside of the borders of Annapolis, this place offers a dog park, bike trails, ice skating in the winter, a fun pavilion and plenty of concerts/festivals. Beautiful park that is well maintained. Paved Hiking /biking trails are not too strenuous and well shaded in many sections. Kayak rentals are plentiful and staff is super helpful and friendly. Great playground for when my grand daughters come visit. Also plenty of nice picnicking areas. Love this park! read more

Nice park with a number of options - biking, walking/running paths, boating, a dog park, or just sitting by the water. I went specifically for the running path, which is a four-mile loop around the park. The path doesn't really run along the water, which I found a bit disappointing, but it was nice to be able to sit by the water at the end of my run. In my opinion, the South River Overlook is the nicest area of the park. read more

When the weather is nice enough, Quiet Waters Park becomes Annapolis' Central Park. There are trails galore with shade and variety as well as hills and waterfront views. There's even an ice rink in the winter! read more

As relaxing a destination as you could want. Dog-friendly, miles of trails and water sports. Just fantastic!

Quiet waters is a wonderful place for a stroll, jog, bike ride or picnic. Walking down to the overlook on the South River is breathtakingly beautiful. What a great place for family or engagement photos! In the summer Quiet Waters has an excellent concert series, where familes sit on the hill by the ampitheater and enjoy the weather and entertainment. The only reason I do not give Quiet Waters 5 stars is I belive it's dog park could use some help. As a dog owner, I used to love really enjoy the park but since it has become a muddy, poop hole (too many dogs allowed in at once) and there have been multiple incidents where aggresive dogs have been allowed back in the park time and time again. I had to eventually cease bringng my pets to the enclosed park. We also adored the dog beach which has since been close- sure wish they coudl find a new spot to revamp the dog beach as there is plenty of shoreline. All that being said- just walking your dog through the park makes not using the dog park only a mild deterrent. read more

Absolutely stunning and fabulous place. This place boasts many activities for the young and old, from ice skating to hiking and biking trails to an absolutely superb dog park. I bring my dog here as much as I can and she loves it more than life. She knows where we are as soon as we enter the gate. Speaking of the entrance, if you place on going here more than 6 times in one year, get the season pass for $40 because each visit costs $6. The park is large and has many fields and areas for your enjoyment. It has a little beach and I even saw someone get married. Actually, my dog ran into someone's wedding and I sheepishly and apologetically reclaimed her. I highly recommend this park year round for everyone because there is absolutely something for everyone. read more

I love Quiet Waters Park! My husband and I go there very frequently with our two dogs. If you are a dog lover this is certainly one of the only nice dog parks in the area. The park has decent trails for runners, bikers etc, nice playgrounds, a gazebo, ice skating rink, picnic tables. However the best part for me is the dog park. They have a fenced in large dog area as well as small dog area. The people there are always friendly. What separates this park from anywhere else in Maryland is their doggy beach. Your dogs can run and swim and play on the shore and it is always so much fun (and of course messy). The only downside is that there is no fence in this part. But there isn't really anywhere they can go (my dogs are runners and we haven't lost one yet, haha). I am also a photographer and I have done several engagement photo shoots at this park, including my own holiday pictures. It is very pretty and you won't find anything better in this area. P.S. If you are a dog lover and have taken your dogs to the beach, check out Muddy Paw Wash right outside the park. It is an amazing little place where you can have coffee and a bagel while your dog gets washed and dried. They also let you do a self serve wash if you want. Their prices are great and the staff is so friendly, they always remember my dogs names when we come in. It makes for a fun day at the park and it is in walking distance from Quiet Waters if you don't want your dogs destroying your car. read more

Quiet Waters Park is a fantastic little spot for anything and everything you would need from a park. The trails are paved and well kept. There's a 4-mile loop around the park, mostly burried in the woods, that is frequently populated by runners. There are a number of covered areas for picnics or family get-togethers. A tennis court area has been converted to a fenced-in dog section to allow pets to run around freely. And there are a lot of pets! There is a boat rental store down on the water where you can rent kayaks or canoes. Finally, there is a very nice scenic area with two small gazebos looking out over the water around Annapolis. During the summer, you can see all the sailboats out on the water enjoying the weather. The daily pass is $5 if you drive your vehicle into the park; or $25 for a yearly sticker you can put on your windshield. The yearly pass is completely worth the money, but if you'd rather not pay at all, there is parking across the street from the park and you can walk right in and find the trails near the entrance. read more

LOVE this place so much that I drove up from Northern VA several times just to bike around or take a long walk around the water. Beautiful scenery with a nice, paved trail. It's usually quiet and not many people are on the trail so bikers won't have obstacles and walkers/ joggers won't feel like they'll get run over by bikers. The fountain area is nice and romantic for a casual picnic lunch. Almost considered having my wedding here because I fell in love with it instantly! read more

Huge park with lots of trails for walking, running or biking. Scenic views of the water make this a tranquil place for a stroll. The park is (inconveniently) closed to vehicle traffic on Tuesdays but visitors can park in the shopping center across the street and enter on foot. read more

Great location, paved trails as well as dirt trails that are extensive. Took my dog and she had a great time - dogs need to be in leash but in forest dirt trails may be ok if no one is around. read more

It is a nice park with maybe a 4 mile paved trail that is nice - but I lived in Delaware for 10 years and this park doesn't remotely compare to any of their state parks with similiar entry fee. I'm a distance runner so I'm always looking for somewhere to run where I don't have to overlap too much. I've never been overly impressed with this park - but again I've just gone for the jogging and none of the other stuff. Worth it to go once and see for yourself. Seems like people usually park in the shopping center across the street to avoid the park fee. I used to live close enough that I could just jog in from my house so I don't know what the fee is. read more

Nice park, we usually go for the dog park. The separate small dogs area is a big plus since our little guy couldn't compete with the big ones. They keep raising the annual entry fee and only give you one sticker so you have to take the same car each time (annoying!) read more

A horrible experience!!! I paid $100 for a birthday party for my ten year old daughter on January 1. I arrive on the day of the party a little early to set up as we had done last year and find out that we are being put in the cafeteria with three little round tables and it's open to the public! Okay fine, I start bringing things in and it's "you can't have balloons" okay, I go back to the cafeteria and it's full, so now I can't decorate! Then a rude park ranger tells me I can't have food! I have to order from them becouse I am in the cafeteria. What? Okay at this point my guests are here and I am trying to salvage my daughter's party, so I try to talk to the food services employee​, ( politicly correct post) she doesn't speak English and points to her head with a funny look! Okay so now I have no food, no room and I am out $150 for the rental and decorations. I ask to speak to a manager, at which point I am told no refunds, "you have a table"!!!! Excuse me? I am so furious! We had to take the party back to my house, and I had to do a rush clean up/ set up after planning this for over a month!!! My daughter then says it was the worst party ever! For $150 I am calling the superintendent tommorow and I will take this to the top of Anne Arundel county! Rude staff, nasty bathrooms, and a break of contract! Not too mention A government employee who doesn't speak English!!!!! read more

Absolutely one of my favorite places to be in Annapolis!! I have been living here for 5 years and have gone kayaking, running and walking the 4-mile loop. The yearly pass is so worth it! The only downside is the paths are too narrow for biking but it's still doable - I see bikers all the time on the roadway and on the trails. You can rent bikes, kayaks etc. My husband and I have had picnics by the scenic overlook area watching all the boats on the water. Beautiful view. If this place were in DC it would be packed. I'm so glad it's tucked away in our neck of the woods. Very dog friendly. I've taken my dog there but we prefer to just watch the other dogs from outside the fenced in areas (they have lots of benches!). I've noticed a few times, in the fenced in area, that there were lots of dog poop not picked up, sadly. I've been to the ice rink (lots of fun!) and have attended their art fair many times, but I've not checked out any of the summer concerts yet. They seem to have a great lineup of performers each year. Overall, this is a wonderful park. I feel very lucky to have this park a few minutes from where I live. read more
