Great prices on fuel. True to its name it won't take long to get gas - even though its so small. Not sure why there aren't lines like there are at Costco given their prices. I suppose the only thing wrong with this gas station is the signage. Its very dark and lackluster. It needs something to lure people in from the main boulevard. For some reason the nearby billboard attracts all the attention. Its well lit and in two contrasting colors. Blue and yellow. If I owned this gas station I would take a hint from that auto accident attorney's advertisement and mimic it. Ann Phong has become the modern version of Doctor T. J. "Two, Two, Two Pumps in One!" I patronize this station whenever I'm in Castro Valley. Today however, half of the pumps were not operational. They only have four to begin with, but today they only had two working. Well that's not too bad--50% of the pumps are working! The access is very tight, as is the driveway. On the other hand, the prices are dirt cheap. Same price for credit or cash, which is a great deal. If you're a super tightwad, the Arco station one block away is $0.05 a gallon cheaper. If you'd like to pay higher prices, come to my area up in San Ramon. You can pay $0.55 more per gallon. read more

This place has the lowest gas prices in the area. I will stop for gas whenever I'm in the area and have 1/2 tank or less. It's hidden and it's not easy to pull into the 4 pumps (yup, that's all there are) due to the angle of the traffic lane at the pumps in relation to the driveway. I have never been inside the Quik Stop Store and this review is strictly limited to the getting of gas, only. Today, the price was $3.579 and that's for cash or credit card. I've never had a problem here other than having to wait a bit because there are only 4 pumps. But, it's not as bad as waiting at COSTCO on a busy day! Jim read more

Stop here when passing through Castro Valley and needing gas. Prices often cheaper than those found on Castro Valley Blvd. Plus I avoid all that traffic. Also this location has easier entry and exit back onto Grove way without going back through the intersection light. Lastly they take credit cards without making you pay a extra 10 cents a gallon. If you look at my profile you'll see that the last thing I do is leave crap reviews. But NEVER in my LIFE have I been treated like I just was here. The woman with beet red hair working put up a "back in 15" sign on the door, appeared from the back 25 minutes later and told us they were closed. I work at 3:30am M-F and have never encountered a closed quikstop. What a flippin joke. 6 customers outside upset and she basically told us to F off. read more

This gas station has reasonably cheap gas, which in my book is great. However, there are only four pumps, and when it's filled with cars, there's a line out in the street. It's very unpleasant because you have to wait a while and there are angry and impatient customers. Night time is usually the best time to come when it's not so crowded. Also, if you use credit card, they don't charge you an extra fee! But, they don't always keep their receipt paper filled... so you may have to go inside to get your receipt if you want one! read more

This is a reliable little gas station that always has the lowest prices compared to their very close competitors. The only reason why I give it a 4 out of 5 is the small number of pumps and the small size of the station in general. They are great in price, so they are usually crowded, or it is hard to manipulate around people to get to an open pump. It's not so hard that you want to go to their over-priced counterparts, so it's really not that bad. Tucked just behind AM/PM, it is a great alternative to contributing to the big oil giants who are all for profit. read more

A usual convenience store/gas station. Yelpers, beware of a white man with a shaved head, driving a ford 4 x 4, with a large confederate flag proudly propped up in the back. Gas here is about 20-30 cents cheaper per gallon than other stations. The only reason why I am willing to buy cheap gas here is because CA gas is highly regulated and there is less chance of getting bad gas than a state like Nevada. It's also a great place to wash clean your windshield with their squeegee since they put soap in the water. Lastly I've been lucky buying quick pick lotto tickets here and hope my good luck rubs off onto you when you buy your tickets here on your next visit! read more

Convenient location, competitive gas prices, and accepts credit cards. There's only four pumps, so there's usually a line during peak hours. Also, there's limited space surrounding the pumps, so it can be difficult to maneuver if you have a large vehicle. This place has the cheapest gas everytime I have checked, not the next cheapest place would be arco, unless you shop at Safeway and would like to drive to Pleasanton or San Ramon and use your reward points to fill up there. My only complaint is that this is a very small gas station and it's usually busy most of the time. They accept both credit and debit without a surcharge which is always good. Oops I forgot almost one more complaint , their pumps are kinda outdated and they take forever to start and they can cause errors and then you end up having to go inside and pre-pay. read more

BEWARE when paying with a card. All I bought was a $1.59 Snapple and my card got charged $19. Come to find out they charged my card for the Snapple as well as my cousin's purchase. I did not authorize my cousin's stuff to be paid for by my card ONLY the Snapple. I'm not even sure how they were able to complete this on my card because my cousin was in line after me and I only entered my pin once. When i went into the store there was no accountability, she just told me that the person who rang me up was the assistant manager (as if he was incapable of making a mistake) and showed me a print out of the purchase. Come to find out they never charged my cousin when she used Apple Pay and it all went to my card. I told the manager that either way this was an error on their part and they need to be more mindful of what they're doing. What if it wasn't my cousin and I was stuck with someone else's bill, because they do not seem like the refund type. She seemed bothered that I even addressed her about the wrong transaction.
