Worst experience ever. I'm not leaving a negative review simply because we were towed, I'm leaving it because this operation is extremely sketchy. We parked briefly while ordering drinks, and before we could even finish our order, someone came in to warn us that multiple cars outside were actively being towed. The signage situation is completely misleading. From where we parked, there were only two small signs meant to represent the entire backside wall of the apartment building. We did not park directly under a sign. We were later told that there used to be a sign under every parking spot stating "no parking," but those signs were removed. They also claimed there was a sign at the entrance to Summerfield, but that sign is not a legitimate or visible warning. It's bent halfway backward, nearly unreadable to incoming cars, and despite claiming to provide contact information in case of towing, it lists none. When confronted about all of this, I could tell the worker felt ashamed because they couldn't give me a direct and straight answer, unable to make eye contact with me while communicating and just darting their eyes around because they knew what they were doing was wrong, purposefully targeting people who were unaware, they were straight spawn camping us. If a business can't afford to install clear, visible, and properly placed signage, they shouldn't be towing vehicles. This felt less like enforcement and more like predatory behavior. We were forced to pay $730 just to have the car dropped on the spot, which is outrageous, unacceptable, and straight theft. We also witnessed their carelessness with other cars. $730 for One Hour - Intimidating Late-Night Towing Experience My vehicle was towed at approximately 10:20 PM in Rowland Heights while my sister and I were inside Summerfield Tea Bar picking up drinks to go. We were inside for about 20 minutes. When we returned to the parking lot, our car was gone. We genuinely believed it had been stolen. It had been towed. A nearby employee told us that cars get towed from this lot "all the time" and mentioned there was a sign posted at the entrance. We went back to check. The entrance sign was extremely difficult to see at night. The pole appeared bent backward, and the sign itself showed visible damage. When driving into the lot in the dark, the text is not easily readable. There are only TWO warning signs mounted along the wall covering approximately 18 parking spaces. They are not positioned directly in front of each individual space, making them very difficult to notice, especially at night. We had to Uber to Pomona to retrieve the vehicle. The vehicle was released at approximately 11:20 PM. Total time in their possession: about ONE HOUR. Total charge: $730. Here is the exact breakdown: $250 - Private property tow $125 - Dolly fee $100 - Labor fee $65 - Daily impound (for less than one hour) $140 - After-hours release fee $50 - Administrative "city" fee Again, $730 for roughly one hour. I initially provided my credit card for payment. The card was taken to a back room out of view. After some time, I was told the card "did not go through." I have never had any issues with this card. I immediately called the credit card company on the spot, and they confirmed there were no problems and that the card was fully functional. At that point, my sister and I felt intimidated and scared. It was late at night, and we were unsure of what to do, so I called the police at 11:01 PM. I was told it was a civil matter and that there was nothing they could do. Feeling overwhelmed and pressured, I ultimately believed I had no choice but to use a debit card to get my vehicle released. It was late at night, and we were two women simply trying to recover our car. That card was also taken to a back room to be processed. While we waited, we could hear several men laughing inside, which only intensified our sense of unease and vulnerability. The entire experience was stressful, intimidating, and deeply unsettling. Being charged $730 for approximately one hour, while feeling pressured late at night just to recover my own vehicle, is something no reasonable person expects. After reading other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. We will be filing formal complaints regarding this matter. This kind of experience should not be normalized or accepted. SCAM ALERT: Illegal towing, refused to release my car, then told me to "take them to court" On March 7, 2026 at 10 PM, I caught QuikTow's driver mid-hookup on my Tesla. I was standing right there. I asked for my car back. I offered to pay cash on the spot. They refused -- which is a misdemeanor under California law (CVC §22658). They took my car anyway, leaving me stranded with my 10-year-old daughter at night. I Ubered to their Pomona lot and was handed a $605 invoice I never signed. The legal maximum they could charge in my situation -- owner present, requesting release before the car left the lot -- is $125 under California state law. They charged nearly 5× that. Their invoice also includes a $50 "City Fee" that doesn't appear on their own posted price sheet, and a storage charge of $65 when their own rate sheet says $60. When I disputed the charges, their staff told me to take them to small claims court in Pomona. Challenge accepted. I am filing for $2,420 (the 4× statutory penalty under CVC §22658(j)) plus all costs. Complaints filed with: California Bureau of Automotive Repair, LA County DA Consumer Protection, and California Highway Patrol. This is a shameful, predatory operation. Parked at a matcha place in Rowland Heights around 12am. My car was towed all the way to Pomona. There was no visible signage at the entrance of the lot, nor was there anything in the surrounding area. The car was parked for less than 30 minutes before being towed. Upon calling, the line went straight to voicemail, where I then proceeded to receive imessages from the company, asking to call me back later. However, after attempting to reason through text messages -- even providing pictures of the area -- I was still told that it would cost $605 to pick up my car. We were at the impoundment lot within 30 minutes after it was picked up, yet we were still left with a fee of $605, which they could not properly explain to us. Upon asking for more details, the man in front was vague -- even going as far as to tell us they are "completely legit" -- which seems odd for a company who is attempting to not come off as predatory. Ultimately, the situation culminated in us paying the fees, but all hope is not loss, as further actions will be pressured, and I encourage anyone else who falls victim to this company to look into your options! read more

On May 18, 2025 around 08:40 AM my car was disabled on the 57 South Bound, 3/4 mile from Lambert Rd Exit - in a very bad location, with very heavy traffic. Quik Tow was amazing! I called 911 3-4 times requesting immediate help to assist me, due to afraid of being stuck by other vehicles. The 911 operator stated an Officer was dispatched and should be on scene with no estimated time-frame. I contacted my Insurance Company around 09:20 AM after not receiving any assistance. My Insurance Company reached out to QuiK Tow and I received a called form a Quik Tow dispatch Rep, who I explained my serious situation of being almost stuck many times by vehicles behind me. Quick Tow dispatcher advised me, someone is being sent to my location ASAP (AS SOON AS POSSIBLE).. WOW! Quick Tow showed up before the Highway Patrol Officer within 30 minutes. I was so very impressed with Quik Tow service and the Professionalism of Jose Renteria, Quik Tow Driver and Officer Rodriguez, Highway Patrol, who showed up minutes after Quik Tow to help assist getting my car into safe area, where Jose Renteria of Quik Tow, secured my car and also help protect my safety from traffic. I want to start off by saying how grateful I am for Frank and Arturo! These two men went above and beyond to help me last night when my car was stuck stranded in an unsafe area. I had been waiting for AAA to dispatch a flatbed truck to tow me to my dealership because my car is electric and can only be towed on a specific tow truck and they saw me waiting for over 7 hours at a gas station. They were not dispatched to me but still tried everything in their power to try and help me. I called AAA and asked if they would be able to dispatch my vehicle to their company and Frank said he would get me home. H the dispatcher at QuikTow declined the request and immediately sent him out to another customer. About an hour later Frank and Arturo came back and told me they did not feel right leaving me in that area because it was very late at night and becoming very unsafe for me to be there. He called the owner of the company and explained everything that was going on and immediately got me hooked up to his truck and safely towed home. I truly believe God sent them to me as angels to watch over me because AAA still didn't have a truck available and no estimated time that I would be receiving a tow. Called and they had someone out to tow my car in 25 minutes, tow truck practically beat me to my house and managed to maneuver a long flat bed truck into my narrow gated driveway. Helpful and professional. Ended up needing to replace the 12V battery in my Tesla and they quoted me while I was still on the way to my house. My boyfriend's car was towed from a private lot in Pomona, and they charged him a ridiculous $605 for a tow and less than two hours of storage. These fees are outrageous and clearly designed to exploit, not enforce. The signage? Practically nonexistent. The few signs that existed were so far from where he parked that it took us over a minute of searching to find one. If you have to hunt for a sign AFTER your car has been towed, it's not deterrence--it's a setup. To make matters worse, when we called to get the car back, they gave us the wrong address. Coincidence? Not likely. This "mistake" conveniently delayed us just long enough to push us toward their midnight rate hike. We arrived at 11:45 p.m., yet somehow, they already had paperwork prepared for the inflated post-midnight fee. This was planned, plain and simple. I have the invoices to prove it. While waiting at their lot, we saw multiple other people retrieving cars towed from the same location--and even witnessed another tow happening right in front of us. This isn't about keeping a lot clear--it's about profiting off excessive fees and shady tactics. If they were really trying to prevent illegal parking, they'd have clear, visible signage--not hidden notices that you can only find after your car is gone. This incident took place at the Rowland Heights SummerField location and after further research, this has happened to many others as well. They had the same script as a review mentioned before me where they walk up to you showing you a picture of your car asking you if it's yours. After you say it is, they claim that they are usually very harsh, but this time, they are nice enough to tell you. However, by the time I get to my car, they've hooked their tow truck to the front and demand $300 on the spot or else they have to tow it. However, we started saying that was too high for us and he started naming a different price ($200) which is sketchy. My friend who is knowledgeable in law knows that they need to have an authorization form if a car is being towed in private property and asked for a record. He said he can't help me and he's following orders and to contact his manager "Kevin". When I doubled down and tried to contact Kevin, he told me he only accepts calls and that he couldn't text (explanation for this later). In the call, I could hear noise in the background which clearly sounded like it was a friend just chilling at home. This all felt very suspicious to me so I asked for an authorization form and they kept deflecting and telling us, what form? "What form are you talking about" "It's illegal to show you forms". In which I said, I can't pay until I see the form. In all this, I would believe him if it wasn't for the fact that he kept bluffing and threatening me in between. He would say things like "You know I'm being so nice to you, but if you don't pay in ten minutes, the cops will be here and someone else will take your car". 1 hour passed and he would repeat these blank statements "Pay now or I'm taking it" "The cops are coming". And then I realized, wait the cops should lowkey come at this point because they seemed very very sketchy and they kept bluffing. If they really wanted to take my car, do it. Why sit here for an hour telling me how much trouble I'm in. So I told them, I'll call the cops to verify that this is all legal. The moment I said that, they acted like they didn't care and encouraged it. But I noticed he started texting "Kevin" in secret, and then Kevin started texting me over and over. He sent me the sketchy link to pay 3 times on 2 separate numbers, and on top of that, he would spam call me to tell me to pay now in which I denied until further proof. At some point, I stopped picking up because I was trying to figure it out with the cops but his manager "Kevin" kept calling me. The reason they highlight that Kevin doesn't text is because in the calls, he would be very very upset and started slipping up. If this was a professional "government" business, why are you calling me saying "Bro just pay" "Bro hurry pay". At this point, I knew they were bs and hoped the cops would come. After this, the person finally had a "form" to show me. The form he denied ever knowing of before since I was so insistent on not paying until seeing these forms. While I called "Kevin", these forms suddenly appeared 20 minutes later and they had the "tenant" that called signature. But then I realized if he just wrote them, how did the tenant teleport here? So I called him out and asked how he had gotten the tenants signature if he denied that these forms existed 20 minutes ago and I did not see a tenant show up. He weaponized his incompetence and replied "Oh she was here, she left tho". ON TOP of this, he would not let me get a close look at the form because "it's illegal" but ik damn well it's cause it was forged, so he held it at a distance instead. Basically they play in your face but just don't back down because they're just blackmailing you with no actions. In the end, I knew they were scammers but I didn't want to waste my time so I filed a report. Just wanted to come on here to say that if you're going through this just call the cops if you want confirmation on what to do. For context, I drive a Tesla and I can see that they didn't have the proper equipment to take it, so no matter what I know they wouldn't have taken it because they couldn't with the equipment at the time:( read more
