I wanted to make sure to leave a review for the driver Mario R. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever from a partner of AAA. I requested service for my son who had his car running for over 45 mins with his keys locked in his car. I explained to the AAA agent as I've requested many of times before for my son that I was not onsite but with the verification process over the phone expecting not to have any issues as I haven't in the past. From the start Mario R. Seem to be irritated at the request I already provided my son with a photo of my AAA membership but was told he couldn't accept the card without identification. My son FaceTimed me and the driver immediately interrupted and my son trying to request my ID and explained he can't complete the service if I'm not present. I reiterated the above and explained it's never been an issue prior attempted to show my ID over FaceTime and asked if he could still receive service because at this point his 2002 Honda had been running for over an hour. AAA dispatched the driver by the name of Chuck to me. I got nothin' but love for Chuck, and not just because he shares my name. I got a flat on Christmas Day, found a thick screw and bolt nailed deep. I changed it for the spare... only to come out the morning after, in the heavy heavy rain to see my poor spare was also flat (wasn't touched for 11 years, I should have filled it). Dispatch said Chuck would take 59 minutes to get to me, he arrived in 40 minutes. Made the attempt to fill the tire with air. Then I found out the battery also is dead, while trying to drive the car onto the truck tow bed. He got the jumpstart for me. My first review on a towing service ! We were west bound on the Interstate10 Freeway when we heard a grinding sound. Hubby pulled over the right shoulder ... yes we had the rear driver flat tire... Thank God for keeping us safe!! Called AAA for road assistance... this towing service came within 45 minutes. Marshall A got us in the car on top of his tow truck... I am afraid of roller coaster rides lol which seemed like we we're ascending on one while driving the inclined ramp! Scary feeling for me !! I have never been so happy with AAA and this company I-10 , from the dispatch gentleman to KENNY the driver who was just not professional, kind, helpful he went ABOVE & BEYOND his job duties for me . He needs a huge SHOUT OUT and a free lunch, beverage or a raise. He didn't have to help me to the extreme that he did and in the heat too. He absolutely made my day by relieving my stress and worry about my car. He taught me about my release button, how to move my car from park to neutral and he pulled my car with his pull jack into the spot I needed it to be in, this was after he came the first time to put it in the driveway initially. My dumb dumb self didn't know the steering wheel was going to lock and I couldn't move it after he dropped it in the driveway the first time. I was on the I-10 fwy Tuesday 10/22 & my tire shredded due to hitting something on the freeway. I was able to pull to the right shoulder barely. I called AAA & they dispatched a tow but 1-10 decided to send a battery service truck when I requested a tow truck from the start in the event my tire could not be changed to my spare. The guy said he couldn't remove my tire because my lugs were stripped, he tells me I need to call AAA back instead of contacting dispatch to let them know I needed a tow as originally requested, luckily CHP was standing by with me so I wasn't alone. We had to wait an additional almost 45 minutes for the second tow & this is the ONLY reason I gave a 5 star. Charles came to my rescue, he asked before he even moved my vehicle was I comfortable with him either driving my car up the ramp on the flat bed or hooking the cables & pulling the car up, I told him I was fine with him hooking up the cables. Then once he got my car on the flatbed we were on our way to Riverside, after we got there Charles went the extra mile, he not only made sure it was ok to drop my vehicle but after all was said & done & I was at the dealers with my advisor, Charles went & parked the truck on the street, came back to check on me to be sure I was ok before he left. I had an accident and the tow truck driver told me that I was better off bringing my truck to the yard so that the insurance adjuster would be there asap, otherwise they would take forever. The catch for them is that if it goes back to their yard then my AAA policy would no longer cover the tow fees, not only that, but the driver blatantly lied to my face when I later found out that they don't accept adjusters in their yard. I ended up paying over $1500 out of my pocket simply because the driver wanted to be dishonest. And the office staff have a terrible attitude and do not care to help you get your vehicle out of their yard. Do not trust these people! I had a terrible and expensive experience!!!!! read more

***BEWARE IF YOUR CAR IS "MODIFIED"*** See the picture attached below clearly showing the AAA logo and AAA towing my car in the past in the SAME condition. The absolute worst towing company I have ever dealt with. I called AAA and requested to have my 2002 BMW M3 towed on a flat bed because it skipped timing. When the driver MEKHI arrived, he was already on the phone with his boss, JOEY, who demanded the car not be touched because it was modified and was not allowed to be towed by AAA, period. In the 23 years i have been a AAA member and in the 15 years of owning this car have I ever been denied a tow because the car was "modified". The front bumper was taken off to assist with loading the car on the flatbed but the driver MEKHI decided to face time JOEY and take pictures of my car instead and report my car to AAA stating that the car was not allowed to be towed because it was "modified". I immediately called JOEY and asked him to forward me where it says in the AAA terms and conditions that the car cannot be towed because it is "modified". He just kept deflecting the situation and told me to reach out to AAA. No problem JOEY, a quick google search was all you needed to do so here you go for your future reference. " AAA reserves the right to provide only such services as is deemed safe and within the normal course of servicing, including but not limited to using ordinary servicing equipment and servicing vehicles that have not been loaded, altered from their original manufacture or custom manufactured in a manner that interferes with the safe and legal rendering of service." What was unsafe about towing my car JOEY? No special equipment is needed to hook it on to a flat bed. Hook the axle and it goes right up. The car arrived where it was via AAA. No other tow company has ever had an issue towing my vehicle. JUST YOU! As you and I both know, 2002 BMW M3's do not come with spare tires. If I simply had a flat you're telling me i'm screwed? Oh yeah, how about when MEKHI denied to tow my car but offered to tow the car privately if i paid for it? Doesn't sound very ethical to me and I will be sure to bring it up with AAA as well. AAA was VERY nice when they called me back listened to my concerns with the professionalism and customer service delivered by I-10 Towing. AAA apologized and said I definitely had a valid point and I was immediately passed to a supervisor who did not waste anytime dispatching I-10 Towing again for a 2nd assessment. By then, I already had another tow truck on the way via a friend who said they would only charge me $100 to tow it and AAA kindly provided me a reimbursement form to complete. How convenient that you also happen to be just down the street from where the car was supposed to be picked up and you refused service. I would hate to think that you would purposely cancel the tow and still be paid out by AAA just for showing up. I truly hope that's not the case. I work in five star hotel and know what it means to deliver outstanding above and beyond customer service. AAA hit it out of the park where I-10 Towing failed on all counts.
