I visited a Quiktrip in Garland, TX on 11-March-21. And I was greeted with a cashier with no mask. I would not be saying anything but he was encouraging other employees not to wear a mask. I've been shopping at QT for quite some time now and I don't think this employee represents the QT I've grown to know and love in a positive way.

Rude clerk. You work at a gas station. No reason for your attitude. Try saving lives for a day.

This place has some of the cheapest gasoline prices in the Dallas region. I recommend to fill up here.

Always clean and gas is usually the lowest priced in the area. Restrooms are always clean. Drive out of my way to go to this gas station.

This place has so many drinks to choose from (bottled, fountain, smoothies, coffee, shakes, etc) What I really like is that it is always CLEAN and NEAT.

I agree with other reviews I've seen online, this place is never open before 7/730 AM. Store looks like it's still stuck in the 90s even after "updates" ...think minimalist texas chainsaw massacre. Thought being courteous in the service industry was a given, but I guess it depends on management and training.

The folks that work there actually call it Lakewood Exxon, although many locals still call it the Cave. The great news is the nearly hidden Beer Cave still exists AND is still guarded by the bear! The cave has an outstanding selection of cold beers of various breweries from far and wide. Plus many of the local brews are in there chilling! It is a great place to walk in on a really hot day as you brew browse. The wine selection outside of the cave is quite good for a gas station. There is yet another large cooler with all kinds drinks. There are a few of the common food items on the shelves to include Velveeta! Now I know where I can quickly get my queso making supplies and chips before grabbing a couple at my hangouts. This place sells lottery tickets and all kinds of other convenience store products. You can get your laundry soap and paper towels on the way to one of the local bars or restaurants that are within eye sight or around the corner to Lower Greenville! This place is nearly at the center of my universe! Or at least the Skillman/Live Oak/LaVista world! I've heard one of the nearby bar tender/drink making wizards send patrons here for their tobacco needs. It is walking distance from at least 4 bars and 4 restaurants. I might even know of a patron who tried to walk off a drink by shopping here. If nothing else, get a picture of your date with the bear! The store and pumps are open from 6 AM to Midnight.

In Dallas Texas under the parent company Southland the original small stop for ice was transformed when the proprieter added a few necessities to the shelf to help the community. Sound familiar? From that, sprang an international convenience store chain that grew and prospred until, they missed the signal that times were changing. As other competitors designed business models to deliver what customers wanted in a more friendly and efficient way, 7-11 fell behind. As a native Dallisite ,7-11 was a fixture in my life for decades. When they introduced fresh gourmet coffee 24/7 in the 1980s ,I was a customer 365 mornings a year. Instead of making coffee at home before hitting the road, I made my first stop the 7-11 coffee bar. Unfortunately, they have declined to a point of being a 2nd tier player in the convenience store space. The only time I stop is in desperation. When there is nothing else around. However, I have noticed that their new stores are in a redesign phase and trying to reinvent themselves. I certainly hope they make it and at a minimum pour some love into their shops, as they once did.

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.
