Wow. Without a doubt, this place deserves 10 stars. This was THE BEST meal I had while traveling in Ireland, and may be one of the best meals I have ever had. After almost a week of eating fish & chips, we wanted something different. We almost went somewhere else but changed our minds last minute & it was clearly an excellent decision. The restaurant is tiny with limited seats for approximately 15 people. However, we had no problem finding seats for 2 people. We ordered the pan fried salmon with salad (AMAZING) and the cod fish & chips (again, AMAZING). I originally wanted to order the sea bass, but they were out of the sea bass & I opted for the salmon. The salmon was cooked so perfectly & seasoned incredibly well. The plus: it was not fishy in the slightest. The cod fish & chips was delicious, which is not an understatement after we had lots & lots of fish & chips on this holiday. You can absolutely tell their fish is high quality & fresh. Even the side salad was fresh. I cannot complain about one thing. And I am so glad we found this place. If you are in town...YOU HAVE TO STOP BY. You will absolutely enjoy it!

Truly enjoying my dining experience here tonight! I came with my friend and ordered the Fried Cod + Chips: the BEST fish and chips I've had in Ireland! Very fresh and tasty! Reasonably priced too! I believe it was 16.95 for this order + smashed peas and a soda. Definitely recommend!!

Definitely worth going for fish and chips I like the mushy peas too. You get a very generous portion for the cost. Service was good make sure ,however, you tell them to include a tip before they ring in your bill. We had just landed in Shannon that day and headed straight to Killarney for late lunch and did not have any lose bills.

I was recommended this place to eat from a lovely couple in Quin/Ennis area. The ladies working were incredibly kind and our food was ready within 5-10 minutes! The salmon was absolutely delicious as was the salad and the "real" potato chips we were given to try (add vinegar and salt) yum! I would absolutely stop here again or at another Quinlan's location! Delicious!

A very good fish and chip shop in Tralee, the concept is excelent, very well thought through, and generally ticks all the boxes.

Fresh from the ocean, to the shop and to your plate or can take away.

The price is more than fair and the quality is really good. I ordered the pan fried seabass and my wife the pan fried salmon. Both were delicious. The chips were excellent. I took off 1 star because of the salad. It had too much onion so beware if you're not an onion fan like us.

Amazing fresh sea bass - reasonable prices and delicious

Since they don't take reservations, we kept walking but were curious enough to look up the reviews. After seeing how highly rated it was, we decided to come back when we were ready for lunch. I'm so glad we did. We timed it perfectly, avoided the line, and were seated immediately. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the chicken goujons, fish tacos, The Fish Box, and the seafood chowder. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You could tell the seafood was incredibly fresh. What impressed us even more was the value. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes we received. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Located just a block from the marina, The Fish Box was one of our favorite lunches in Ireland. If you find a line, don't let it scare you away. It's popular for a reason.

My wife had the toastie, she has decided she isn't a fan of toasted bread on her sandwich so she was pretty Luke warm on hers. I had the open face prawn and smoked salmon sandwich on brown bread with the Marie Rose sauce. Prior to this trip I would have not ever likely ordered this for lunch. But I am a huge fan of the Brown Bread and the Smoked Salmon has been fantastic. Again, I was not disappointed, my meal was great. The prawns and the salmon were both great and the bread was a thick cut slice which added to the meal. I'm a fan!

At the point that from the outside, we were asking ourself if we were not dressing too casually... But you just need to enter and you'll see normal people, enjoying a drink or food. The food is nice and elaborated, I remember that they had a nice choice of wine and beer as well. They cooked my meet perfectly, as I would eat it in France. Regarding desserts, they were not the best but my fiancée enjoyed them so bad ! So I guess some are good and some are not that tasty... Pretty expensive for a whole diner, but you pay the unique architecture and the "fanciness" of the place...

We were traveling through the Irish country side and our Air BnB host suggested this place and even made a reservation for us. We arrived a little before closing time of the kitchen and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us and very willing to serve a party of 6. Our server was so friendly and personable. She had us laughing the entire night. It really just made for the overall perfect dining experience. She gave us a full run down of the menu and told us about her favorites - and let me tell you...her recommendations were spot on! Since there were 6 of us - we all ordered something different off the menu so each of us could try it. Trying to make a decision was so hard because it all sounded so good. It was pretty difficult figuring out who had the best dish. For an appetizer, I got the seafood chowder and it was seriously the best chowder I've ever had. I didn't even want to order seafood chowder again on the trip because I was so spoiled by how delicious the one at The Bianconi was. I still am telling people how good it is. There was so much seafood in it and big chunks, too - they definitely do not skimp on the seafood meat in their chowder. It came in a bowl and was an actual serving - so if getting as an appetizer I would suggest sharing with someone. I got the monkfish special. It was buttery and cooked to perfection and so flavorful - and to make it even better it was perfectly topped with a cheese sauce. My fiancé got the half orange glazed ginger duck and oh my it was great! Cooked perfectly and the skin was lightly charred to make it crunchy. The meat was so moist and the orange and ginger glaze made for a great flavor! If you're passing through the Irish country side and want a great place to eat with staff that gives you a warm welcome - I would HIGHLY suggest coming here!
