Quinn's Mercantile - Accessories Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Quinn's Mercantile advertises hand sanitizer for sale on April 3, a peak time of panic and shortage of sanitizer due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. $30 for a bottle of sanitizer AND $10 shipping even though I'm local because they said they wouldn't allow local pickup, which was reasonable at the time due to the circumstances. Fast forward nearly two months later. I have emailed Quinn's repeatedly asking for an ETA on this "pre-order" and the only answer I have ever received is that 'when you ordered it you knew it was a pre-sale and wouldn't be shipped until after April 30. We don't have an ETA at this time". What a load of boloney. Today is May 21. That is three weeks going on a MONTH after the original ship date. I asked for a refund and was told all sales are final and they didn't know when it would ship. TLDR: -Ordered a "presale" item on 4/03 -On 05/21 no item, no ETA on arrival, and no refund allowed, even for the shipping cost (which the store is now open so that's pretty ridiculous). -Repeated emails to the store (to document in writing) asking when I will get it - no ETA, no refund -The "pre-sale" item that I paid $30 for at peak scare time is now available at any gas station for $3. What a markup. I am a firm proponent of supporting local business. I will NEVER go to Quinn's again. I will never recommend them again. I will tell as many people as possible about the TERRIBLE customer experience at this store and recommend they never patron the store either. All this over $41.42. Quinn's is really cool. It is a place that people have who had a creative heart can put their work and sell it. My best friend did this and they only take a small amount of your profit, which shows me they are an honest company. It's really cool when you go in, there are so many different booths and things that you can buy. Creative, cute and a great place for getting gifts! They also have events, especially "Meet the Artists" events where you get to meet the people selling stuff in their store. Go visit, you will find great souvenirs! read more

Don't be fooled by the cute merchandise and atmosphere. This shop does NOT care about its customers. I would give zero stars if I could, and I used to be a loyal customer. This shop will not respond to a disappointed customer. I have sent two emails, three Facebook messages (marked as read the same day), and I have called to discuss the terrible Santa/photo experience we had there (which was overpriced and reserved months in advance). When I finally called after being ignored for two weeks, the owner took my email address, saying she'd respond via email because she had a long line of customers to attend to. Then she cut me off, said goodbye, and hung up. She did not, in fact, reapond via email. For over two weeks I've tried to get a response, but this shop is ghosting me. read more

A very nice surprise downtown. This is what downtown shopping should be. An old house turned into a unique blend of antiques and urban Americana. Staff was friendly and helpful. They weren't pushy either. They let you look without bothering you. Items were a little pricey but probably about what you would expect. Do not pass up the opportunity to visit. read more

I love this store and its people but be very careful shopping here, especially for gifts -- I just found out they do not take returns. I bought my husband a wallet for Christmas which didn't fit his cards, and they would not take it back, not even for store credit. Keep shopping here, just be careful, that's all. read more

This quaint shop is a fun spot to peruse if you are anywhere near the Square, downtown Murfreesboro. It's one of those older homes in the historic area, chock-full of restored furniture, unique gifts, clothing and jewelry. They also hold painting classes, which I haven't attended but which sound great. I love the decorating style. For me, coming to Quinn's Mercantile is like coming home. I am literally in there about once or twice a week. They always great you with a nice word and a friendly smile. They are always offering me decorating advise (because I need it). They've even told me to bring my dog along sometime. I wish that I could have given them more than 5 stars. This is an eclectic store that features a mix of arts, crafts, lifestyle home furnishings, kitchenware, and outstanding local item selection. They carry awesome artwork by local artist Daisy Skidmore! However, customer service seemed indifferent which is not good for earning repeat business. The lady (Rachel?) assisting me seemed uninterested in helping me select a matching picture frame to best match my Murfreesboro print by Daisy. It seemed a bother for her. I reluctantly selected one that was pre-framed for $65.00, but wanted a frame without a easel back. I'm giving the benefit of doubt at 4 stars. Perhaps it was a not that great day for her...I understand. But, genuinely this shopping experience was 3 stars, at best. Hope owner watches and trains on customer service because the store has excellent potential in Downtown Murfreesboro. However, I'm a bit hesitant giving a glowing recommendation with inconsistent service which doesn't match the fine selection offered.
