We had seen Dr…read more Alford for a previous issue a couple of years ago, and he was honest with me and super knowledgeable. Last week Dr. Thaker removed my 14 year old's wisdom teeth. He answered all of my questions, and his confidence left me with zero worries about leaving my daughter in his care. Every single person in the office made us feel welcome, heard and cared for. Everything was explained in detail up front as well. On the day of surgery, my daughter expressed anxiety about anesthesia, and our nurse Taylor was exceptionally kind and walked her through each step. After the procedure, my daughter only wanted Taylor to comfort her, which says a great deal about her bedside manner. Despite being busy, she took the extra time to comfort and take care of my girl. We are a lifelong customer and will be back for anything our family needs in terms of oral and facial surgery. Thank y'all for everything.

First of all, the receptionist (Rebecca) was very kind, and the young woman named Taylor was the assistant to the surgeon and sat and asked so many good questions about my mom's medications (my mom is 87 and on a lot of them!) She was easy going and calmed my mom, who can get very anxious in new places. When Dr. Christopher Cason came into the exam room, he couldn't have been more present, considerate, and informative. Plus, he has a British accent and big, brown eyes and seemed very caring, if it's okay to say that about him :) Anyway, after discussing that my mom wouldn't be able to have general anesthesia -- due to the fact she is on blood thinners and takes prolia shots and it could cause severe problems -- I asked the doctor if she NEEDED to have her rear tooth removed as she wasn't having any difficulties nor pain because of it. Dr. Cason said it was NOT necessary, and if, in the future, it became a problem, we could always set up another time for surgery etc. I could see the relief on my mom's face when it was decided we would bypass this surgery. One more thing you should know: they do not accept Medicare at this business, so it saved my mom a lot of money because I don't know what it would have cost, but probably several thousand dollars. Over the course of my treatment, Dr. Ravi and his incredible team restored my smile with 18 crowns and 2 bridges. That's a huge amount of dental work, and I can honestly say it has been the best dental experience of my life. The crowns came back SO FAST and the temporaries looked and felt great. From start to finish I got almost all my teeth done in just a matter of days. If you're someone who gets anxious about going to the dentist, this is the office you've been looking for. They don't just say they care about keeping you comfortable--they prove it. They constantly checked to make sure I wasn't in pain, explained everything before they did it, and even brought me a warm blanket during my appointments so I would be comfortable. Those little acts of kindness meant more than they probably realize. They will even hold your hand and comfort you if you get anxious. Dr. Ravi is not only exceptionally skilled, but he's also patient, compassionate, and genuinely invested in giving his patients the best possible outcome. He even went through my entire medical history and checked all of my medication's to make sure that everything he did was for my benefit. Dr. Ravi went off a 35 year old picture of me to restore my smile. I don't know another dentist that goes the extra mile like he does. Melissa is simply amazing. She was encouraging, attentive, and made every visit feel less like a dental appointment and more like I was being cared for by people who truly wanted me to have a great experience. What impressed me just as much was their honesty. Ashley worked tirelessly with my insurance company to maximize my benefits and helped me get the best price I could find anywhere. At no point did I feel pressured or taken advantage of, quite the opposite. I felt respected. When you spend this much time in a dental chair, you learn very quickly whether a practice is exceptional or just average. Bastrop Modern Dentistry is exceptional. She's made a few mistakes that were a bit frustrating and cost some extra time. Not everyone is perfect though, and Dr. Quaroni is so fabulous, he's worth it. A few times while sitting in the waiting room, several patients have shared their stories of past experiences with other oral surgeons and discussed the vast improvements in their oral health once they found Dr. Quaroni. Whereas U.S. medical doctors seem to view patients as mere business customers more often, and don't bother to check up on them or treat them as equals, Dr. Quaroni is an exception to this decline of patient care and is, instead, exemplary in his care and treatment of his patients. At the consultation, the office manager, Joan, discussed insurance, procedure and follow up dates, etc. The office files the insurance claim directly (which was nice because I was double covered so she had extra work) and called me the week of the procedure to discuss my day-of charges. During my consult, I met with a patient care tech who discusses my medical history, allergies, analgesia/anesthesia options, and answered any questions I had. She was super friendly and made me feel at ease! Dr. Fuselier arrived and reviewed my X-rays and went over the notes from the patient care tech. He was so warm and friendly and put my mind at ease. The day of my procedure, I arrived and made my payment, scheduled my followup, and was brought back to the procedure room. An assistant hooked me up to the heart rate monitor, brought me a blanket, and answered any questions I had. Dr. Fuselier came into the room to discuss my chart again and reviewed exactly what the procedure entailed. He then set up my IV (I chose IV sedation...best decision ever!) and told me exactly what I should be feeling. After the procedure, I was walked to recovery and was met by the assistant to have gauze packed and questions answered. After waiting for about 30 minutes, Dr. Fuselier came into recovery to answer my questions and meet my dad. While the recovery room could use some updates, the friendliness of the staff outweighed this small eyesore. Also, Dr. Fuselier is only in this office once a week, so it's not really decorated for his use. On my way out, the assistant walked me to my vehicle to ensure I was okay, and I was on my way. Please save yourself time and money. Dr. Smith comes off arrogant, rude and unprofessional. The way it was discussed was not thorough. After the visit I did look elsewhere, but because of timing I came back. Make sure you do not come back. Look elsewhere. The staff does not know how to schedule your appointment. Be careful. Theresa tries to get you in but the timing is off, the entire office is off and the experience will leave you in aww in the most WORST way! They do not check in with you to see how you are--- so don't expect a call back. Possibly the most rudest form of respect in the lowest way possible. If you plan on doing ANY sedation look elsewhere. The procedure went well, I did not experience any pain or discomfort during and Mark and his team were professional and courteous. If you need dental work done, head here, you will be in good hands. Edit: It is now one week since the surgery. Marc used a local time released anesthetic on the extraction site and told me around day 3 there would be some pain. Day 1-3 there was almost no pain, on day 4 and 5 my jaw was a little tight but still very little pain, the surgery is now healed as far as I can tell and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you want an pain free extraction experience Marc is the guy to see!
