I'm surprised that I haven't written a review yet. I've been coming for about 2 years to Spring St. and I've always had a pleasant experience. I wanted to make a point to share about my last visit a couple days ago to illustrate just how great these people are. Monday night I broke a tooth eating dinner. We had expected that I might have a cracked tooth that was bothering me on occasion, but could never identify which tooth while in the dentist office. I Googled Spring St. to see what time they opened in the morning so that I could call and get an appointment. To my surprise, Google had an option to send the business a message AND it said that the business typically responds within an hour. So I thought, "let's try this" and sent a message. Shortly thereafter I got a message from Dr. Romney saying they would call me in the morning to set up an appointment. They opened at 7am Tuesday morning. I noticed on the clock it was 7am and before I had a chance to give them a call, they called me. :) They were able to get me in a 1:30pm that day. Mona is my favorite. She always has a smile on her face which is so nice to see when you walk in the door. Dr. Lassen was able to save my broken tooth and put a crown on it that same day. I was so grateful to the whole team for taking care of and so quickly. I highly recommend Spring St. to whoever is willing to listen. read more

I had to get a root canal removed because these dumbasses can't seem to do their work right don't recommend this company nor will I ever come back and OVERPRICED LIKE A MF! My experience with this location is horrible highly recommend any other dentist this place is just ass. read more

They are money, hungry! I called to schedule a cleaning I was in and out in less than 20 minutes because they decided to not let me know that this is what was gonna happen. They had me aware that they were going to clean my teeth and all they did was take pictures x-rays poked around in my mouth and tell me that I needed to come back 4 times after that for $200 cleanings. Absolutely ridiculous and a total waste of time I will not be returning. Also two of my family members went in for cavities and their teeth have never been the same. They are extremely sensitive and hate the treatment they received. Go elsewhere read more

Scheduled new patient appointments for me and my husband and provided our Cigna PPO and HMO info. The front office said HMO wasn't covered but PPO preventative care would be--even out of network. They confirmed this again at our appointment. Then we got a $260 bill. Completely unacceptable. Staff should be trained to give accurate info, not say whatever it takes to bring in new patients. Look elsewhere for a dentist in bastrop. read more

I wish I'd never stepped foot in this place. Dr. Youngblood is completely incompetent and should not be trusted with your teeth. He performed cavity fillings on my teeth - he was notably frustrated during the procedure, he did not file down the fillings so they were smooth, he was unable to correct the bite after the fillings ( he started grinding down other teeth that has left my bite permanently off) and he took out a chunk of a tooth that wasn't even being worked on.. The fillings were not done correctly and have caused issues since. I had the procedure done on a Thursday and the hygienist literally told me they skip lunch on Thursdays and can barely think. Another hygienist gave me a brutal and bloody cleaning that left me sore for days. Dr. Romney yanked on the floss so hard when he was examining the bad fillings that it worsened the issues with the fillings.. I would avoid this place at all costs if you value your teeth. I would never recommend my friends or families as they could do irreparable damage to your teeth. Once someone has messed up your teeth, they can never be completely fixed. read more

I needed to get a cleaning really bad this week. I called so many places and they were booked for spring break. Then I called Spring St. Dental and I was helped by Mona. She was very kind and patient with the questions I had. I then scheduled an appointment for the next day at 8. When I got there the front desk greeted me and welcomed me in. The dentist and the Dr were also welcoming and gave me information about my teeth. Everything went well therefore I will definitely come back. read more

Excellence Personified! The front office, the hygienist, the dental assistants, and especially their leader, Dr. Matt, are the best. While traveling out of town with my consulting work and academic journeys, they have accommodated me for last-minute dental work. I have had two dentists over my 67 years who personified excellence - my Houston doc and now Dr. Matt in Ranch Country. I was not informed until after my procedure that "we're not in ANYONE'S insurance network." Had I known that none of my visit would be covered by my insurance company, I would have gone elsewhere. THEN, after examining my bill, I noticed that they added an unpaid balance for my wife's last dental visit onto my bill without discussing with me first. Very shady. I feel swindled. After being overcharged and dealing with the obnoxious dentist at One Smile, I went to this place on a recommendation. SO glad I did. The charge for the work needed was a THIRD the price, saving me $2000! From the start the reception was friendly, personable and competent. All the staff was courteous and efficient. Talking to the dentist, (Dr. Romney) I was able to ask questions and get the info I needed without feeling like I was wasting his time or being stupid, like my last dentist. Unsure about insurance, since I pay myself, but since they were so much cheaper I'm not complaining. The facilities were really attractive and clean and I'm happy I went to them. read more

I've had 2 crowns done there, they manufacture them onsite. Professional, efficient, modern practice. The doctors try conservative treatment before recommending expensive or complex options. read more

Deceptive! Overtly DECEPTIVE PRACTICES with this office beginning with the Front Desk personal. SIMPLY Do NOT Take the Chance with this Group! A clear and concise discussion was completed about the Dental procedures BEFORE making the advanced appointment. The Dentist was not only incapable of doing the procedures, the Charges were Excessive! The Office Staff clearly knows the Usual and Customary procedures performed in their office. The Front Desk Reassured me several times before the appointment the Dentists could do the necessary procedures. The Dentist obviously was a part of the entire DECEPTION. I am so fortunate to have found this dentist. They are so professional and knowledgeable. My dental hygienist is the best! They are so honest and care only about their patient's health. And, the best part is that I'm a bit afraid of the dentist but during my last visit I fell asleep in the chair. Trust goes a long way. read more

I am a new patient at Spring St Dental and my first visit was awesome - well as awesome as a dental visit can be. Seriously, it was great. I was in for a routine cleaning. The receptionist and office staff worked hard to obtained and review my dental coverage ahead of time. The hygienist was excellent. Dr. Lessen took time to get to know me and was very personable. I just moved to Texas and have not had time to connect with a new dentist. Yesterday I broke my tooth that had a large crown on a lower molar. I found Spring St Dental on Google and spoke to Mona. She was so efficient and genuinely concerned about helping me. She was able to get me in the next morning. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. After x-rays everything was completely explained and The dentist gave me options on how I could proceed to take care of the tooth. I chose a plan and everything is in place to take care of it. I had a GREAT first experience with the dentist at Spring St Dental and I will tell you why. I have gone to other dentist in the area and all they wanted to do was put me on a two year plan with cleanings, then DEEP cleanings, x-rays, talk, and come back next time and we will start your plan. My needs ( cavity ) were hardly even talked about. If I had proceeded with their plan I would have been way more than a thousand dollars invested without getting my cavity fixed. I told Dr. Brian right up front I wanted my immediate needs fixed then and only then would we talk about routine maintenance. He never flinched and told me it was their goal to do what the customer wanted. You know that's how Dentistry used to be.. Not everyone can afford a $10,000 two year plan, its like the other dentist I had gone to wanted to milk out everything they could leaving your problem hanging over you so you were forced to continue to come back in hopes that maybe this time they would address the problem you initially came in for. NOT at Spring St Dentist. Yeah I got a plan, a plan that first addressed my needs, after that it was my choice to go on with further care or not. NO pressure at all. I appreciate that! read more
