At the end when the gentleman finished serving our scoops of ice cream, he said that wasn't on the receipt. The nice lady that rang us up said, yes she asked for the chocolate. There used to be a Piu Bello in isla Verde/San Juan that we frequented on biz trips there. Turns out this place is not related. It's an independent that has been in this location about a year. But I was curious about the name. I looked it up and Piu means in Italian more or extra. That's a fitting description of the gelato here -- which is beyond all expectations and absolutely delicious. I've always known that there is less fat and calories in gelato than in ice cream. But even if that were not true, I wouldn't care. This gelato is so creamy and rich; it's the definition of sinful.
