I should have taken a photo of my sandwich today. Forgot my phone. However, this deli is spectacular with it's fresh deli meats and other ingredients. I tried their CA Sandwich. Turkey, avocado, bacon were the main ingredients in the sandwich. It was by far one of the best sandwiches I've had in a LONG time. I actually want to go next time and see the physical layout of this place and try another sandwich. What a disappointment walking into this place! I was having a nice time at the bar next door and i decided to have a sandwich but i needed it to be ne cut in half. Not too big a request i thought. But after i approached the counter this ckerk decided that this sandwich was already too small to cut down i said really but i want to split it it with my friend at the bar. He absolutely refused. I ended up paying for my other purchases and he was so indifferent to my my business that made me feel like he just did not care one way or the other if i bought anything at all. What a lousy way to run a business Stay away from this place. read more

I usually buy my alcohol here because they have a great selection and good prices. I finally decided to get a sandwich.... and I have been missing out!! I got the vegetarian w/avo and the guy even asked if I wanted the cheese too (in case I was vegan). Sandwich was big, extremely fresh and filling! The veggies were crisp and the sour dough was soft. I will definitely be getting my sandwiches here from now on instead of the other local spots (B&B). read more

Simple and yummy sandwiches made inside this liquor store! Perfect for on the go Tuna, Ferris wheel, Niki bob, and California sandwiches have been pretty good... especially the Tuna sandwich and the California which has turkey, bacon, & avocado. Some of the sandwiches have roast beef, ham, and turkey. You can pick the bread and what fix-ins you'd like (onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc). This place is located on a busy road and in a tight corner. Liquor and food are a great combo. When you're in the area and want a fresh, tasty sandwich this is the place to be if you can get there without running over a pothole or two. Service is prompt and prices are reasonable. Considering there are other eateries close by, this is definitely a convenient spot to grab lotto, a beer, cigarettes and a sandwich. Be prepared to wait if it's rush hour during lunch on a weekday. The military personnel visit this spot too as it's literally just outside the main gate. read more

was being harassed by some other customers, asking me to remove my mask and trying to flirt with me, but the bald man at the register stepped in and asked them to leave me alone. made me feel very comfortable and then proceeded to make me an amazing sandwich! plus they have lots of selections for drinks and snacks, even had the drink i have not been able to find at other stores. read more

If you like deli sandwiches you have to come to this place! I am so happy I stumbled upon this gem when I was in the Miramar area! The sandwiches are pilled high with meat and so many veggies! The staff was so friendly and patient with me when it took me a while to decide which sandwich I wanted, they all sounded so good, I wanted one of each! The veggies are all extremely fresh and the quality of the meat is great! I definitely recommend coming here if you would like a yummy sandwich. I live no where near Miramar and I would drive the extra miles to get their sandwiches! After talking to the employee, she said they also have another location with the same deli in Solana Beach, cant wait to go there when I am in the area! read more

The guy making sandwiches thinks he's a king and is the biggest piece of crap ever. . This time i got 3 ounces of meat but all sorts of lettuce tomato onions pickles and mustard. I asked for mayo only. It's just this one guy that does it all the others seem to make it right. I just won't order anything from him again. I have actually told the other workers before but hey they can't do anything about it. I wouldn't let him run my operation and i'll spend the extra money to go to DZ Akins WorldFamous deli and get it done right. read more

It seems like this Qwik Korner has been here forever, yet I rarely have ventured into it. I went in here to grab a single-size bottle of milk on my way to Lake Miramar, but the price was a bit higher than at a Circle K or am/pm. While it is on the dingy side, at least it's ok that there's a convenience store near MCAS Miramar. You know, just in case something happens at the Filling Station and you need certain "supplies." read more

It might not have the appeal on the outside, but if you are looking for possibly the best sandwich for the price in San Diego this might be the place. I actually had a dream about this place one night, woke up at 3am really hungry and wished I could get the spicy Italian or Benny special (with every thing). That's a pretty clear sign it's delicious I will advise to eat your food fairly quick. After about 45 minutes of the sandwich sitting, the bread gets soggy and the meat is cold. So probably not the best idea to order a spicy Italian and get around to eating it in a few hours or it won't be fresh read more

I come here everyday, and I absolutely love everyone there. Julian, Sonya, Danielle, and Fadi are such homey and welcoming people. Their sandwiches are really good too! I always get blt or tuna. If you just want a snack I recommend the deviled eggs. Great liquor selection, really good sandwiches and friendly employees. Why wouldn't you come there? read more

I recently starting working in the Miramar area and am always looking for a good lunch spot. I read several reviews of the Quik Korner Deli and decided to try it. I walked inside and was impressed with how clean and organized the store was. I was greeted by a nice lady at the deli counter. I decided on a "Benny" with everything but onion. She made my sandwich in less than 5 minutes and I was on my way. I got busy at work and wasn't able to eat the sandwich until an hr later but when I did, it was delicious. I don't know how they charge only $6.99 for a sandwich stuffed with so much meat! Both the ham and pastrami were moist and packed with flavor. Not overly salty like some deli meats. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. I would place this sandwich in my top five ever and I've been eating sandwiches for over 50 years! I highly recommend Quik Korner Deli read more

I understand that avocado isn't cheap. I'm not sure what's happened here lately but for the second time I've purchased a sandwich with "avocado" and I've barely been able to see it on the sandwich. If it's a price thing, then charge more. I enjoy my avocado and expect to at least be able to see it when I open my sandwich. Service is always friendly but they are rationing avocados like gas in the 70's here. read more

Prices are not the best, sandwiches are hit or miss. Sometimes the bread is dried out, other times it's just ok, and rarely the sandwiches are great.... The gentleman that mostly runs the counter is extremely rude. I have been coming here for a long time (6+ years) but due to his poor customer service, I will not be supporting this business any further. read more

The thought of eating food from a liquor store is about as appealing as licking a lama's butthole. But trust me people, these sandwiches are DAMN TASTY. AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE SPOT FOR GRABBING LUNCH WHILE WORKING. They are all $5 or under, including tax. They are all generous in size. I mean, Jesus, I can only eat half at once and then I chuck the other half into the office fridge to gorge upon the following day. The guys who work in there are pretty cool. I sort of want to have a beer with them some day. So back to the sandwiches: they have lots of types of meat, bread choices and vegetables. I ordered the Newman (turkey, roast beef, peppers, and veg with avocado). DAMN GOOD! They have a good beer selection too. Not just typical crap, but nice micro brew selections like Ballast Point. read more

$5 or $5.50 for a MASSIVE SANDWICH!!! Yes please. I used to be a fan of Jersey Mikes until they raised their prices to $8 for one stinkin sandwich. You can get a normal sandwich here for $5 or one with a few different meats on it for $5.50. And they're huge, I ate half and was fine. And oh, if you want a drink and chips (dirty potato chip brand! yum) it's only $1.25 extra. What a steal. Tons of sandwiches to choose from too. And I don't know what that Stef girl who wrote a review was talking about regarding a rude lady working there. The 3 girls behind the counter and making sandwiches were all very nice and making suggestions of what tastes best with what. I even saw a man working there (seemed like the owner) go out of his way to put some additional sauces/dressings in a big bag for this guy who ordered 17 sandwiches!! If someone is placing an order for 17 sandwiches this place must be good! Don't know what it is with these Miramar spots, but this one also charges .50 on debit/credit card transactions. Best sandwiches around for sure though! read more

I walked in here after checking out the tattoo shop across the way. I will admit, I thought it was weird that they made sandwiches, but decided to try one since the prices were decent. IT WAS THE ONE OF THE BEST FOOD DECISIONS OF MY LIFE! I ordered a Benny Special and in a few minutes they handed it over with a smile. BOOM! AN EXPLOSION OF MAGICAL SANDWICH FIREWORKS IN MY MOUTH. I was craving a fabulous sandwich and Qwik-Korner won over Subway and Panera Bread. I was not disappointed at all. First, the food. They have a menu with a variety of different sandwich combinations all for under $5 (tax included). A decent selection of bread choices and toppings. You can also get a sandwich made with whatever ingredients they have. I opted for their California (turkey, bacon, avocado and jack cheese) on sour dough with the works. It was LOADED with meat and fillings. There was even a lot of fresh avocado and it was properly prepared for sandwich purposes. My usual complaint with sandwiches from restaurants is there is too much bread. This was not the case here. It was delicious! It is also huge! It could have easily been 2-3 meals for me. Aside from regular sandwiches, they also have a selection of hoagies. Some of their sandwich choices are hot, but most are cold. Service was great! The two guys working were enthusiastic and friendly. They knew it was our first time there and said we'd love their sandwiches and we did! They have a huge assortment of non-alcoholic beverages - more options than I've ever seen in a convenience store. Prices for drinks more than grocery stores, less than delis and most convenience stores. The deli has pretty late hours- until midnight on Friday and Saturday. First time eating the sandwhiches here and I was pretty impressed. Split the Spicy Italian and Benny Special with my brother, and enjoyed both sandwiches. Really good taste and value for what you get vs. regular sandwhich chains. Only thing I recommend is maybe ask for the oil and vinegar on the side if you don't plan on eating it right away. The sandwhiches got pretty soggy, but we're still good. I would definitely eat here again though. It's good to support mom and pop shops and the owner was very nice. read more

Siesel's Meats is the original location if you love going to Iowa Farms in Mission Valley. These…read moretwo locations will be our go to for getting high quality butchered meats. We typically go to Iowa Farms since it's close to us and we're familiar with the location. We love getting the potato salad and bbq baked beans (prepackaged) sides there when we stop in, but if you're not early on the weekend, they usually run out. So we decided since we'd be in the Bay Park area, we'll check out the original location, Siesel's. Glad we did! I wanted to make a slow cooker brisket one weekend, so it was perfect. Siesel's is a bit larger than Iowa Farms and feels a bit more open. Same great cow awaiting outside the store. But they have a whole deli counter with all the sides plus more! They didn't have any ready made prepackaged bbq baked beans, it was better, made fresh daily and we were able to get as much as we wanted at the deli counter. They also have several different Siesel's signature potato salads and pasta salads that aren't offered prepackaged at Iowa farms, which I absolutely love! My favs are the Asiago pasta and deviled egg potato salad. We also decided to try their Tri-tip sandwich made to order at the deli and it was delicious! Fluffy bun piled high with Tri-tip covered in bbq sauce and have the option to add cheese and anything else. Love it! Staff is always very helpful. Parking lot can get full on the weekends, and they can run out of the pre-prepared meats in the front counter, but make sure to ask if there's any more in the back or they may be able to prepare some for you!
