I have found my go-to deli thanks to Yelp and the wonderful reviews. They have dedicated parking spots for visitors in the parking lot. The deli is immaculately clean and has a vast variety of drinks and chips. My pregnancy cravings hit and I wanted an egg sandwich. I read previously that they had some. None on the new menu but was recommend the Tuna Salad Sandwich on Rye. Let me tell you that I sat in my car, took a few photos and for the first time in my life, I devoured the entire sandwich so quickly. Every bite was delicious and heavenly. The rye bread is soo fresh. The BEST tuna sandwich I've ever had. It also came with a pickle on the side. Raved to my husband about this place so that we can come back here together next time. Just ate the Early Bird Bagel (bacon/tomato/red onion/cream cheese) on a delicious Jalapeño Cheese bagel. Yummy. Fascinating to see the following: 1) Cooking Channel playing on their corner TV. 2) Big Blackstone griddle in the middle of the store early in the morning (they rolled it out just before 10am). Hidden gem I must say, I usually stop here on my to work. The breakfast burrito is a perfect size and everything is perfectly portioned inside. The Chipotle chicken has great flavor and every bite is the same, its a great lunch option or an early breakfast for me. Every week my company will order lunch from there and it is the best sandwich place I have ever had but then when I went there on a Saturday the website says they are open so we drove all the way to Miramar to go get a sandwich to find out that that the shop is closed. Picking up my coworker at his mechanic place, i noticed this little Deli Mart at the 'entrance' of the this little lot with 5 other shops (mechanics, tires, etc. ) . After quickly yelping the place, I decided to go in and check it out since my coworker wasn't there yet. As soon as I walk in, I figured out what the other yelpers were talking about... place is a mix of an old-school deli counter, liquor store, and a convenience store all in one. One of those places where the same person takes your order, makes your food, and exchange the food for your money. Owner was real nice, asked me what I wanted, asked me what bread, cheese, and then the standard toppings he puts on all his sandwiches (lettice, tomato, mustard, mayo). He kind of had a sigh of relief when I said," I'll take everything on it, nothing special". I am guessing he have had the run of the mill customers who wants bells and whistles with their sandwiches. His menu is pretty basic deli. Most of his special sandwiches are the ones that come with bacon. I had the "manhandler" which was a roastbeef with avocado. Had mine with american cheese on sourdough bread. "Topped off" my order with the deli pickle in the box. Sandwich was tasty, simple, and light. All for $5. Like a yelper have said before me, not a typical place one would go out of their way to get to; but if you're around, it's not a bad choice for a simple sandwich. This place is legit! Feels a bit like a Brooklyn bodega, you can get a dank sandwich and all your conceive store needs. The gentleman working was very friendly and attentive. We got a hot sandwich (it's called the Bomb, and it is the bomb!) and a cold pastrami. We mentioned that we were heading on a hike, and the thoughtfully wrapped the sandwich so we could take it on the trail with us. The sandwiches are made in an extremely meticulous manner, I know that is a strange description of a sandwich maker but the lettuce and onion were chopped very finely, the ingredients are stacked perfectly and I hardly lost a piece of lettuce along the way.
