After getting my first ticket going 120 in a carpool lane alone when I was 17 I scoured the internet looking for advice, and then I stumbled upon one of Mr Baylis's videos. I got pulled over by a motor cycle cop in downtown Santa Monica in June (where my home is) for making a right turn at red light, this is the only intersection in the area that doesn't allow right turn at red light, there was a tiny sign by the light which I didn't see, the cop wrote me a ticket for the first time, and when I came around to the same intersection few minutes later, this same cop was pulling over somebody else! Let's start this review off with the good news. 104 mph speeding ticket, dismissed. Woohoo!! Now, let's go back the beginning where I explain why I choose Mr. Baylis to represent me. Mr. Baylis was my first and only call while shopping around for an attorney. Upon reading many other sites regarding my current misfortune, happened to come across Mr. Baylis via Yelp and give him a call. I was very warmly greeted by his office manager and passed over to Mr. Baylis. At the time he did a very brief consult with me and honestly told me he didnt work in the courthouse I would be seeing trial in. He also went on to tell me how the Judge normally presiding there was kind of an asshole. This initially worried me, but he asserted that he would try to move it to another courthouse/judge to get me a more fair trial. Some people buy radar or laser detectors which is a good preventive measure if you live in the middle of nowhere. However, for those of us in large cities (urban and suburban areas) where they rarely work and the police and highway patrol officers catch you by pacing you or estimating your speed, you usually get caught. I was referred to Attorney Baylis by another attorney who praised his ability in fighting traffic tickets. I was skeptical as finding a good attorney is like finding a needle in a haystack. After speaking with him I felt confident to move forward. I knew upfront that this was a near impossible fight. The ticket had been paid and the case was closed. I called and spoke with them regarding a ticket I received I was asked to come in and he would be able to go to court the very next day with my taken and there was a very good chance that he could have it dismissed. I went by and spoke with him around 5 p.m. we spoke for a little bit he explain to me what the situation was going to be and then he will take the ticket to court and do his best to get the ticket dismissed. I hired Allen Baylis to fight my traffic ticket he charged me $200.00 even though his website states $99.00 he told me that he would fight the ticket and if he didn't win he will appeal it and try to fight it again. Instead he send me a letter saying the officer showed up and I lost and have to pay the fine. When I brought up trying to appeal the decision he denied telling me this and said there is nothing he can do. When I told him that he maid me pay double his fees, he said you agreed to it and there is nothing he can do for me.
