We had several weeks' worth of laundry piled up, including tons of toddler clothes that I typically stay on top of daily. Jeff (the owner) called me within hours and took the time to walk me through everything. I had a lot of questions since this was our first time using a service like this, and he was incredibly patient and helpful. The next morning, my husband dropped off our giant load - 9 garbage bags totaling 214 lbs (!!). The staff was expecting him, helped unload everything, and had him in and out within minutes. About 24 hours later, everything was ready. It was all perfectly cleaned, neatly folded, and organized. Socks were paired, toddler clothes/pants/shirts were grouped and wrapped separately, and everything was sorted in a way that made putting it away so much easier. The staff even brought everything out and loaded it into the car. The whole process was so seamless and efficient it honestly felt super luxurious. What really stood out was how reasonable the pricing was given the amount of laundry and the level of service. We just found out our new washer and dryer delivery has been delayed again, and my first thought was to send another load to Swiftdrop. At this point, we've joked about sticking with Swiftdrop's wash-and-fold service instead of replacing our machines! In our experience, it's rare to find a business that is this responsive and easy to work with. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Swiftdrop Laundry and look forward to using them regularly in the future!

The place is Sparkling clean, BRIGHT, Roomy and laid out in a way I have NEVER seen before. The different load capacity washers are in the center and are all priced accordingly and fairly. Huge dryers are on the outer walls and also come in a few sizes. The winning ingredient to this wonderful laundromat heaven is the people caring and working there. LISA and her crew are so caring for EVERYONE they can greet there, always ready to help anyone whether they are coming or going. HOW do I know this? Well, after I parked in front of the entrance and opened my trunk to pull out my own portable cart to bring in my 8 bags of comforters and bulky blankets/linens/pillows, LISA was standing right there asking if I needed assistance. She asked if she could get a laundry cart to help. I was so shocked by this helpful welcome, I think I was a bit tongue tied but welcomed her laundry cart to carry some of my bags. I told her it was my first time in this laundromat but I had searched purposely for a place with great reviews and high ratings. Walking inside was so pleasantly surprising! It gave me a visual of what a laundry heaven may look like. The PEACE and sense of comfort it gave me was unexpected. I know that sounds crazy to be in awe of a laundromat, but I was always afraid of laundromats growing up as a child when I had to go with my mother (I grew up in Connecticut). They were dirty, dark and had people in there that always looked miserable. Even as an adult, when I was in need of going to the laundromat during my 9 moves as a military family, I dreaded going. I was NOT looking forward to this experience and thought it would be at least 4 hours to wash and dry everything I had brought. It only took 2 hours thankfully with Lisa's help. Lisa could tell I was a bit overwhelmed and after helping another woman she came back to me and asked if I needed help. I definitely needed some guidance on the machines and how to work them. She explained the different capacity machines to help best efficiently clean my items. She told me I could load up more than I actually did, because I really wanted to make sure the items got clean. Had I listened to her advice, it would have cost 1/2 the amount I spent. She showed me how to get a laundromat card to use for the machines, as they didn't take cards or coins. Whenever Lisa saw anyone enter the place, she immediately greeted them with a "welcome" or a "hello". After helping me get confidence to do what I needed to do, Lisa went right into cleaning recently used washing machines and sweeping the floor and helping other customers. She always came back to see if I was okay. I was literally floored by everything from the welcome, and to the continual care. She was so genuinely kind and assured me that I was not bothering her if I had another question for her. I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to get everything done. I never did any of my work I brought with me. When everything was finished, I started to take loads out to my car. Lisa made sure to help me with the last load and as she was sending me off, she was on to helping welcoming the next person into the laundromat! This experience has changed my fear and dread of the laundromats of the past I experienced. When I started writing this review today, I was reminded of the movie "The Blind Side" and how Michael Oher found comfort, safety, shelter and peace at the laundromat because he was alone and his life before meeting the Tuohys was difficult, dangerous, and hard. Canterbury Laundromat for the first time in my life gave me a sense of comfort, safety, shelter from the summer heat and PEACE. They actually have a kids corner where your kids can play. I didn't know how to operate the machine (no quarters). You get a laundry card and add funds to it.
