I highly recommend using An Easy Move for your next move. This team too great care and caution to ensure no belongings were damaged. We had several bulky items that needed to be brought down a narrow flight of stairs, and there was not a single ding in the wall or the furniture. We didn't wrap any of our pieces in advance, but that wasn't a problem for them. They came with their own supplies to add protection. They charge by the hour, but they are hustling the entire time to not add unnecessary time or expense to your move. We even offered to buy them lunch as a break, but they all politely declined to finish faster. Hopefully I do not have to move any time soon, but if I do, I will always choose An Easy Move. I'm n a wheelchair, so needed to hire someone to help me move, although it would be a pretty small job -- mainly just a queen sized bed and frame, plus about 30 boxes of stuff, mostly clothes. Good prompt communication, got an estimate (not the lowest, but reasonable for the job, and they had good reviews so i went with An Easy Movep Well it was easy to arrange, but that was it for easy. Jimmy showed up on time, but ince he saw that my old slumlord's special of an apartment, he declared it so befouled by noxious odors that he couldnt do the job for less than 2 1/2 times the estimate. I tried pointing outbto him that i had disclosed that packing help was needed for some items, and that i was already agreeing to pay for the minimum # of hours he set for the. Job although it would take far less time than that. (Ajd, im sorry if the old tobacco smoke and run down state of the apartment offends the guy -- theres a readon i wanted out of that appartmejt. But its simply unpleasant, its not toxic, and the amount of.time needed to be spent there -- a few minutes to disassemble a bed and the time needed to grab 30 boxes (with e people workinv!), would be maybe 15 minutes. NOTHING to justify an extra $600. But now he thinks hes got nme because i needed to get out and i had no other mover lined up. But i refused his extortionate demands and had no trouble finding other movers locally, contrary to his manipulative warnings that no one would agree to do my job.
