We're from out of town participating in the Great Race 2023 and our transmission on our classic car was leaking like a sieve. We got to Marty's before they opened, they took us in right away, waited for the car to cool down and got to work. They identified the issue, got us the parts we needed, filled up our transmission fluid and sent us on our way to get to the next leg of our race. When he called to tell me what they has found, he also gave me all the codes that came up so I would know of all things reported. I was able to look the codes up and see other things I may need to address that was not what they handle. My vehicle was ready the following day. It's working great! Mike is not a truthful person. My son took his truck in to have the transmission checked and do a…read morefluid change because of unsmooth shifting. Mike informed him that he did change the fluid but there was no problem with his transmission and that he needed his catalytic converters replaced. They even looked at catalytic converter costs in the shop when he picked the truck up. A few days later my son was driving and smoke started coming out from underneath the truck. He took it back to Mike and was told that the leak was caused by a couple of loose bolts that were difficult to tighten. He also told him that he needed a transmission rebuild. Which was incredulous considering Mike had just told him that the transmission was fine and it was the catalytic converters causing the problem, Mike refused to say how or why the "bolts" were loose or consider the possibility that they contributed to the transmission problem. He proceeded to tell us to go to court, he would win......and that we were just like his other "lower socioeconomic customers" that wanted something for free.......quite sure we knew exactly what he was implying by "lower socioeconomic customers" My son then took the truck to a Ford dealership and they told him the transmission had almost 2 quarts too much fluid in it. The rep told us that having that much overfill of transmission fluid certainly didn't help the transmission. My son then contacted AAMCO corporate and although they listened, they claim they can't do anything because Mike is a franchise owned shop. That is absurd, and AAMCO corporate went even further by implying that my son added the extra fluid in the transmission......he doesn't know how to do that and not even sure it can be done without taking it to a shop to begin with. Mike will undoubtedly deny this description ......but there is a recording. AAMCO corporate knows this but apparently we "lower socioeconomic customers" don't mean much to this company and their franchise owners.

Our son is at Alabama and we needed a mechanic to fix his A/C. What a Blessing. We are from Pennsylvania and were on our return trip from a wedding in Texas…read moretraveling on route 20 and were heading to the Holiday Express in Tuscaloosa Alabama when we had our passenger side rear dual outer tire on our class C motor home totally blow out do to the heat and speed. We were able to limp the last 42 miles to our hotel at 40 miles an hour. We checked tire and auto repair near our hotel while limping in and Babb's popped up and was very close to hotel. Made appointment for 8:30 the following morning. Got there on time, spoke with the folks at the counter and the owner came out. Said he would take care of it himself. Within a 1/2 hour he had the spare on and the damage tire mounted underneath and ready to go. Went in to pay and what a blessing, he would not take anything for the work. Such wonderful folks we met and what a Godly thing to do for us. We wish them all that God would repay their generosity to us ten fold. Thanks to Babb's, we were on our way to our next campsite on time.

Then it turns out my car wasn't even worth fixing and he still offered advice on how to make the most of a trade. I asked if they do other services and he said no, mostly transmissions. The entire time I was talking about a car that I lost off the interstate in Pennsylvania while I am calling from Brooklyn, New York, and Evan never once corrected me that he was in in Alabama.
