Randomly about a week later a crew showed up on a day we were going to be gone. No warning. They started working and we started to leave. The supervisor flags us down and asks for payment in full. We explained that we did not have the payment yet as it had not been transferred into the account we were paying them with. He firmly stated that they needed payment right then. The job was just started, we were not contacted that they were coming that day. My husband ran back in the house to write a check and asked them not to cash it until the next week. They agreed. The job was supposed to be completed that day. When we got home later that evening we noticed there were several things that had not been completed. In the meantime our check did clear. What followed was 2 weeks of bad communication and promises broken. They would say they would be at our house at a certain time and day and then not show up, and not text or call with a reason. We always had to call them. Finally my husband got pretty direct with the owner and told him how disappointed we were with the situation and that he just wanted the job completed. He was gaslighted a bit by the owner. The next day the owner finally completed the work. For this we appreciate that he finally honored his word. This company touts their faith as the backbone of their business. The landscape stonework was done very nicely. Unfortunately, 3 of the 7 bushes they planted died. We are just happy to be done with the situation and suggest to the owner and his supervisor's to just communicate with their future customers. That is pretty easy in a time of texting and cell phone technology.

They stopped by and gave me a quote of $500 to cut it and move it about 10 feet to my empty lot. Rather expensive. Called my neighbor and we got it taken care of in 3 sections in about 20 minutes. It wasn't heavy since it was dead and already coming apart in chunks. Ridiculously expensive, especially since they were doing a job about a half a block away. It's not like they were coming from Tampa! Definitely won't hire them for anything!

Dusty's Tree Service is extremely efficient and coordinated when they do their tree work…read more We have had them out on two occasions- first in March 2024 to remove a tree that was diseased, and again in December 2024 to remove several deadheads and a few impacted by the hurricanes. They arrived with trucks, a large lift, a mega claw capable of grasping large stacks of 2-ft rounds, and a stump grinder. The coordination in taking down a tree next to a fenceline, using ropes to expertly guide a branch or section to the ground safely was simply poetry in motion. Not a wasted movement. They ground the stumps into dust, raked and removed all the debris, and left the property cleaner than they found it. Dusty is obviously a highy educated arborist, even took time to walk the property with us, identifying each tree and bush with a detailed description of how they grow, prunings to prolong its' life, and expected life spans.
