They also do half price movie tickets / discounts every single Tuesday. Great location close to other restaurants etc. Temperature is always suitable during movies. Reclining chairs are comfortable. The layout is more suitable / relaxed fit for seeing comedy's / thrillers / horrors. I wouldn't recommend this theatre for movies you want to feel immersed in for example action / sci-fi / adventure etc. I highly recommended the Regal unlimited movie pass. You can watch any movie any time for $18 dollars a month. You can schedule your tickets in advance and you only have to pay .50 cents for a transaction fee every time you make a purchase. This also helps you build points to get discounts on future tickets/food.

My family and I have been driving to the fair from Maryland for years. Since the drive is about 45…read moreminutes, we pack chairs, tables, food and we tailgate. Again, a tradition we have had for years and one we participated in, in 2021. This year, however, was different. We were told that tailgating was no longer allowed. The fair had specialized depending on the type of vehicle you were in, so our family couldn't even park together. Luckily, one of the fair workers who remembered us from previous years, find a spot for us to park near the RVs. But the "fair police" who were riding around on golf carts continued to monitor us and tell us what we were allowed to do and what we weren't. Some other parking attendant verbally assaulted my sister, yelling at her to "move the hell out of the way" because she was confused about the parking situation. Needlessly to say, after over 30 years of attending this fair, my family and I will not be returning. While the kids still thoroughly enjoyed themselves, all the new rules and regulations and the unfriendly staff isn't worth the trouble. Very unfortunate.

When I saw over the summer that Tower of Power was playing here in the fall I knew this would be the show to see as in IME, jazz/soul types of shows on college campuses do not sell. (i.e. last year I saw Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Susquehanna University and they drew 200-300 people at best to a room the same size as this one and years ago Blood Sweat and Tears at Lehigh University which also drew squat) About a week after tickets went on sale, I went to the appropriate website (luhrscenter.com) and got front row seats without issue. The website is easy to use and there are no bloated porked up Live Nation/Ticketmaster fees or the crap of ticket drops/withholding seats, etc. It's all out there for the taking. A few days prior the venue sent out an email regarding a road closure by the venue due to a pep rally (I think) which was fine since our GPS didn't even bring us in that direction anyway. One other noteworthy thing you are reminded of if you get your tickets via Will Call. They give you an envelope with your tickets but also an extra summary ticket that for some reason has your name and home address on it. The ushers thankfully tell you about this and then mention to not bomb that in their garbage cans but to take it with you for security purposes. Plenty of parking all around the venue within a short walk and ushers walk basically everyone to their seat and give you a program like you're at the theatre versus a concert. 2. Central PA is not exactly the soul music capital of the world and it showed as the venue was maybe, generously, 2/3 full. The crowd skewed very much on the older side and as much as the band did what they could to get people on their feet, it wasn't happening aside from two songs. The sound was ok. We were sitting in the front row and from that vantage point there was a lack of a bottom end. Very vocal and trumpet heavy but not much of the baritone sax or the bass. Overall it's a nice looking venue and due to the super light crowd it could not have been easier to get in/out or seated. I can't imagine TOP would ever play here again due to the lack of attendance/interest by the locals but I would definitely come back here to see something else.

Saw Get the Led Out here. Location - easy to find…read more Parking - free and plentiful. We arrived 20 minutes before the show. The show was mostly sold out. We parked in the 2nd or 3rd row. Entrance - no metal detectors and a cursory glance inside my bag. This disappointed me. Very quick ticket scan. No lines. Restrooms - ample and clean. Seating - comfortable with plenty of leg room. Great view of stage no matter where you sit. Auditorium - spacious. Great sound system and fantastic acoustics. Exit - simple from seat to off campus maybe 20 minutes. Definitely a venue to repeat. Wish security was better.

There are plenty of stalls in the ladies room, by far a joy in itself. But I took away one star, and probably should have taken more, because the sound system was not great. We saw On Your Feet last night and the music was very loud (to be expected) but the audio system did not allow for understanding the words. It was difficult to figure out what was going on, where they were, and details that you catch only in the dialogue. I asked the friends I was with if they were getting the dialogue and they said they were not. At intermission I spoke with a woman sitting in another section and when I asked her about it, she basically said, "Oh thank God, I thought I was the only one!" Plus, she couldn't understand the English it the Spanish! Many of the words in the song were also not discernible. Not that they weren't loud enough, they were. Just not distinct. It could have been a much better evening had I been able to hear and understand the words that were being said. I think 4 is generous but I wish it would have been 5 stars. By the way, this is in no way a critique of the show. I thought the acting and music were excellent. Just wish I'd understood the dialogue and words in songs. That said, I'll be looking toward other venues in the area for theater. Dialogue needs to be understood.

I wish we had booked a longer tour! Our guide, Jim, was excellent. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He was able to pull our individual interests in making the tour more personal. The museum was good. It wasn't overly big, but I would say give yourself an hour to tour it. Honestly, any bigger and I would have succumbed to information overload. The gift shop was nice. There was a little bit of everything for everybody. They had a really good selection of books. Oh, and while we were there, there were re-enactors on the front lawn. All in all our visit made for a great day.

Additionally, the other woman working behind the desk was nice, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome while waiting for our tour. Guide aside, the tour itself is done in the dark, with the tour guide holding a flashlight that they zoom in and out for effect (ouch my eyes) just like in a B rated movie for cinematic effect. The 'museum' is in a maze like room with maybe one out of every 5-10 objects actually having any energy and that is probably being generous. The items we were able to see and hear about were interesting and neat to see, but we could have read about them in a lit room just as easily and enjoyed the experience a bit more. If we would have driven to Gettysburg just for the museum I would have been severely disappointed, however just at the end of the day as a final stop before leaving it wasn't a total flop.
