Couldn't get anyone to address an emergency and when the power goes out or the sump pump isn't working - it's an emergency. Finally fed up! Called Gene's Plumbing Service. They will work with you, most of all listen to your concerns. A new, larger sump pump was installed, had some lines cleaned out. Couldn't believe all the gook! I never pour oil down a drain but just the stuff that can unknowingly get through is amazing. Nothing will save me from a power outages, but they have given me some piece of mind. At least every downpour doesn't fill me with dread! They are MY choice all the way.

The previous owners of the home did a major remodel and apparently didn't use the correct adapter to raise the height for new flooring. It works great now. Second, they fixed the master bath commode plus they also installed a 36-inch vanity to replace a pedestal sink. Both of these look wonderful and work well. Mrs. Burgess is always very professional and pleasant on the phone. The repair people​ were prompt, knowledgeable, and cleaned up so you wouldn't know they'd been there. The prices were fair and they sent the bills in the mail, which was convenient for me. I had trouble believing the experience Lynn M. reports and wonder if that person has some other issue. I checked Lynn M.'s list of reports and notice another very negative report to a well and pump business just 3 months earlier. I did reach out to Yelp, but they replied that they reviewed the review before and decided to let it stand. All I can tell you is that my two experiences with Burgess Plumbing were great and I have dealt with other plumbers in past years in various cities. I have a few other plumbing wish list items to do in the future and I am happy I found Burgess Plumbing to help me with those too.

Update: I spoke with Chris and explained the situation. He said he would wave the full cost…read more Look it up...carbon monoxide can be found in septic tank gasses. I explained on the phone there were strange brown circles over the septic tank and CO detector went off in the room nearest the pipe with outflow to the tank. I was told it would be $89 for them to come out. He opened two of the septic pipes. Asked me to flush the toilet furthest from the pipe. He saw the water flowing to the tank. Came in and looked around the inside of the house. Said he believed the CO was coming from the propane fireplace pilot. (It has a CO detector next to it which didn't go off.) A total of probably 15-20 minutes max. That'll be "$245 for the diagnostic". He said it was office policy to charge for the diagnostic. Basically I paid $245 for his opinion and no work. Last year, they did good work with good customer service moving our water filter system from under the house to the laundry room. We had no issue. But this time I feel high jacked!!
