They compiled a long list of "issues" totaling over $6,000. We ended up paying nearly $1,600 for a coolant reservoir and a power steering pump (which the part had to be ordered and paid for upfront), plus an oil change, and they allowed the student to drive home afterward. Once the vehicle was inspected by our personal mechanic, we found multiple serious concerns. Modern Ford did not note a likely oil pump issue or the engine tapping caused by running with low oil. The engine was close to failing. These were critical problems that could have led to the engine locking up and potentially causing a dangerous accident, especially driving down the mountain. Yet none of this was flagged by their senior mechanic. Also, during the oil change, they did not check for metal shavings in the oil, which is a basic step when there are signs of engine damage. On top of that, the oil filter was jammed in place, and the oil used was not high mileage oil. We have called multiple times to get this addressed and have still not received a call back.

They found a bulb that needed to be replaced and they wanted to charge me $21.00 for it. I asked them to fail it and I went and replaced all of my turn signal lights for $22. I returned for a re-inspection and had a horrible experience. I received an email stating I needed brakes. The quotes were from $600 to $1800. The service advisor covering for the service manager called me and was professional and apologized. The first inspection did not note any issues with my brakes. The second inspection less than a week later advised my brakes needed to be changed or it would not pass inspection. Either way this is poor business. If my brakes were bad the first time it should have failed then. The second time I felt like I was being scammed. I will not take my car back for service and I will never purchase a car from them.
