I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother that just walked out of the store. First I'd like to say that my mom, sister-in-laws and I have been going to RJ West since they opened. It's very convenient to not have to go to the mall but they are often rude and have not been well trained in customer service. My mom purchased 2 eyeliners yesterday that were recommended by one of the employees but after doing some review research when she got home decided to return and buy the product she initially went in to purchase. When Alex, the sales girl asked her if she used it my mom explained that she just bought it and never used it but alex opened box and basically called my mom a liar. I called and spoke to alex and asked her if they check inside the boxes when they sell the products but of course they do not. Bottom line, Rachel (owner) will call back but after reading other reviews it seems that this store has not gone above and beyond for their customers in the past. This place makes online shopping a more appealing option. UPDATE 6/22/2020: no call from owner but the sales girl informed today that there are no returns or exchanges per store policy. The policy should include that information being printed on the receipt as well as a posted note at the register. read more

This is a high-end cosmetics store/beauty spa. The store sells a few skincare brands including Revive, Laura mercier, Darphan, Armani and etc. They also offer different facials. I went in with my friend for facials. Apparently this place is quite popular in this town because we had to make an appointment a week in advance. This basic facial lasted about an hour. The room was very clean, well-quipped with cosmetic machines. My skin feels so different after and I want to get back to my monthly facial ritual. The other thing I was told by their beauty expert was that they also offer microdermabrasion, something I'd like to try in the future for my acne scars. read more

I have been so impressed with every experience I've ever had here. Most recently, I had Alex as my technician and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable when it came to covid precautions and every question I had regarding skincare. My facial service was exactly what I've been needing & my skin has been glowing ever since! This store in general is being so careful and taking all necessary precautions during these unprecedented times, which makes me feel safe and comfortable. I saw a negative review (which should be flagged & removed) regarding a customer being asked to wait patiently before being helped, which should be totally understandable as there are new protocols in place EVERYWHERE due to covid-19. I recently had gotten a facial and a lash lift/tint there and had an amazing experience. I have gotten facials in the past but the place was not as clean or relaxing as rj west. My esthetician's name was Alex and she made be feel completely comfortable throughout the entire experience. I recently had broken out with 30 year old acne and she recommended me great products which so far have really helped. I will 100% be going back. read more

I tried to call the store before going to see if they had the item in stock that I wanted to purchase and no one answered the phone. I decided to take a ride to town to see in person. When I arrived there was a sign that said closed on the front window, but the lights were on and there was a woman working on a customers brows. The door was unlocked and I opened it and asked if they were open for shoppers, she said yes we are. I looked around the store a bit and then found the item I had been interested in buying. I walked to the counter to purchase the item and at that point, after I had walked around and shopped and at first asked if they were open for shoppers, she said can you wait a few minutes? I asked how many minutes? she said "10 minutes, I'm not really sure I can't leave my customer here to help you I don't know how long it will be you'd have to wait till I'm finished (and not in a friendly tone mind you). Ten minutes or until she finishes, really? Why didn't she say they weren't really open? Why couldn't she offer any other option. I had spent my time looking for the item with no offer of pointing me in the right direction or sorry I have this appointment I won't be able to help you. I understand people have appointments then don't open your retail shop. She also looked at me like I came out of a swamp, she had a terrible disposition. I try to shop small and shop in town as much as possible even though prices are higher sometimes and there is limited stock. I'm tired of small businesses complaining about not having enough business but not giving the customer service necessary to build that customer base. I have in the past shopped here and had my makeup done and my two daughter's makeup done, today it was just a candle for a gift, there won't be a tomorrow. I ordered the candle on line with free shipping. I will never think of it as a shopping destination again. read more

Terrible customer service! Go elsewhere !! In response to an earlier review , they lied in their reply - they stated that they refused to refund a $38 lipstick because (1) I said it broke because it froze in the car- not true, it broke simply using it the 2d time used & (2) because it was over a month after purchase- true, I did not think I had to rush back,when it broke one day after purchase- I assumed they would honor their products. I thought to shop here for a gift because I try to support business in town even though you can always get things cheaper on line. They didn't answer their phone so that I could find out if they had what I was looking for in stock. I decided to drive in anyway and take a look. The closed sign was up buy the lights were on and there was a woman working, she said that they were open. She was doing someone's brows. I found what I was looking for and went to the counter at that point she said she couldn't check me out and did I have a few minutes to wait. How many minutes? I asked. Stopped in today as I was passing by and recognized the name after hearing about the place from a few friends. Very beautiful store, nice staff who seem to know what they're talking about when it comes to skincare. Especially for me since I'm somewhat of a skincare fanatic. Didn't have any makeup done but there was a woman in a chair getting hers done and it looked beautiful. They carry high end brands of skincare and makeup and also things like bath and body and candles. They have brands like Laura Mercier and Armani and skicare from ReVive which I use which is great. I made an appointment for a facial after chatting with one of the estheticians, who also happen to be one of the retail sales people. I believe she said all the staff are estheticians as well. Which is good in my opinion. That way they at least know what they're talking about when it comes to good skincare. Anyway, excited to get my facial later this week. Would have done it today but they were booked pretty well out. Hopefully I'll follow up with a review of the facial. read more

Booked a last minute makeup application w/ Alicia and she was fabulous! She did exactly what I wanted (not overdone) and was quick as my time was limited. Makeup lasted beautifully all night.
