She's always comfortable and clean. They give her nice hot meals and if she's resting, they will be flexible with the times and/or they also assist her with them as needed. They're very kind and compassionate, and when I visited my mom yesterday, she was telling me how nice they are everyday to her. Her room is always clean and the staff are wonderful. They give attention and detail to everyone and their needs. They call us if any need arises for our mom. They have snacks and help the residence to thrive daily. The home is bright and spotless. I had my mom getting her up to walk, bathing her eating good food the moment she got into this place they never got her up to walk. They blended her food, and every time I would visit her I noticed something was wrong with her! She had dementia and didn't talk, but I knew in my heart and I can feel her. Something was wrong pictures don't lie.! At the end of her two months, she end up catching Covid. It was her first time having it.!! They kept her isolated for 10 days in a bed, not getting up nothing! They told me I was not allowed to see her. This was during Mother's Day for two weeks.! Finally, she became negative and I was able to see her on May 17, 2023, when I walked in my parents room, I immediately started crying, my stepdad was in a diaper with no pants. Halfway off the bed, my mom was laying there so skinny she wasn't barely moving.!! They both had poop! I put my head on my mom's chest. She was breathing so shallow.! I went out and told the nurse they didn't even know they were like this, my parents, how these people work there, and don't know!????? My mom passed away there May 18, 2023. My stepdad followed her May 31, 2023. They were both again and they're less than two months.!! This place is unacceptable and not worth your money or your families love one life !! I do not recommend North Park Post Acute…read more My mother was transferred here from Kaiser after partial hip replacement surgery. The level of care given to my mother by the staff at North Park Post Acute was sub-standard. The staff did not provide the necessary and required support care. Her medical needs were not monitored - although on her chart from her physician and daily requested by family members. She was not given baths/showers, she did not get assistance to dress in the mornings, she did not get assistance to get to the toilet (often took 45 mins+ to get a response from the call buzzer before a nurse/CNA came to her room). The overall care was significantly less than adequate. I discussed my concerns with the staff, but was told it was someone else's responsibility (day staff blamed night staff and night staff blamed the day staff). I even spoke with the nursing supervisor, while she was polite and professional, there were no changes to the level of care my mother received. After a few days, we transferred my mother to a rehab facility in Modesto - the care there is significantly better. I should note, the lobby and check-in desk were acceptable - the patient rooms are not maintained and are in serious need of cleaning (trash on the floor, dirty bathroom: blood from another patients in the bathroom - for multiple hours, that led to blood in the bathroom overnight), and the walls in the patient rooms were in need of repair (very bad patch jobs in large areas of the sheetrock/drywall). Bottomline: Do not send anyone you love or care about here!
