Chris's initial inspection showed he was highly knowledgeable, and his estimate was so competitive and the online reviews so good that I signed up straight away. Not only did Chris not try to up-sell me, he actually "down-sold" me: A friend had told me I should install an ice shield all the way from the gutter to the peak, but Chris said that was almost always an unnecessary add-on promoted by unscrupulous roofers to pad their profit margins. Chris was involved in the project from start to finish and kept me apprised the entire time. His squad of eight was amazingly efficient, completing the entire project - removing old shingles, replacing rotted rake boards, ice shielding, flashing, edging, and shingling -- in an incredible 4.5 hours, while leaving my yard pristine and my new roof looking great. He was patient, diligent, and detail oriented to the extent that he would "geek out" about small details that he appreciated about the house's build, such as the electrician properly removing a knob on the sub electrical switch box. His report was provided to us promptly the next day, and he expressed a willingness to work with the competing schedules of all parties involved. We had an initial conflict doing the radon test and he moved his schedule around to accommodate a time-sensitive task the builders needed to get done. HIs report was thorough and detailed, with photos and arrows pointing to every specific thing he had pointed out to us during the inspection. We had a lot of questions about small details and he never voiced frustration bur rather, answered questions in a patient, thoughtful, gentle manner that was very helpful to us as we went through this process for the first time. Lastly, his previous experience as a builder was important to us, as we had purchased a new construction and he was able to give us a first-hand insight on the quality of materials used and how well the home was built. A painter I later hired said that the upstairs ceiling and walls clearly showed that there had previously been water damage from the roof, and the sump pump installer who came after the basement flooded said it was clear to the naked eye that the basement had water problems. We had to pay $11,000 and more to repair and correct the various water problems.

After four requests, I still haven't heard back. The main project involved removing a support column in the middle of the room. They sent someone who wasn't a builder or an engineer, yet is an essential consultant for this job. They wasted my time and showed no respect for the customer.
