We woke up to a leaky ceiling in our walk-in closet and quickly realized it was coming from the AC. I called Specialized Air Conditioning on a Saturday and within 2 hours a technician was at my house diagnosing the problem. He found that 2 clogged water pipes were causing the leak. Not only did he clear the pipes and fix the issue, but he also removed a dead rat from the attic that we did not even know was there. He suggested adding a safety switch to the pipes to prevent future leaks, which was helpful advice. The service was fast, efficient, and professional. Specialized Air replaced our unit MANY years ago & have been servicing it annually since then. The compressor was almost out of warranty when it failed several years ago & Taz got right on it & had it replaced in one day even HAND CARRYING the replacement up a flight of stairs & onto the roof in 107 degrees just to be sure we were taken care of!!!! We had an issue with our Pioneer brand HP mini split that I installed last summer. I have been a C-10 contractor for over 30 years (retired) and also very knowledgable in many trades. This had me stumped, even after communicating with tech support, doing everything they asked and even replacing a part which they thought was the problem. Did not get resolved. I then called Specialized Air (as my wife demanded, lol) and Taz found the issue! We had a defective inside air handler (head) unit that was leaking Freon! This had not even been suggested by Pioneer tech(s) and I did not even consider it! Unit was under warranty and a new one was sent. I installed it and had Specialized come back out (wanted to make sure all was done perecftly) to make the connection and add Freon, if needed. Paul was great and we were up and running. Although, we received another defective unit, it has NOTHING to do with Specialized Air! They were amazing and very reasonably priced. This company was recommended to us 12 years ago when we had to replaced our air conditioner.Well today 7/16/24 Dave just left from Specialized Air Conditioning (owner). He had sent out an employee who was awesome, however couldn't fix the problem. He did find a work around that he would help us with when the additional part came in. We were trying to install a smart thermostat and couldn't get it to work! Well on his way home Dave, the owner stopped over as the worker called and told him the issues he was having. Homeowners in need of air conditioning service or new installations will find professional and personalized care from David White and his Specialized Air Conditioning company. After our existing air conditioner failed this summer, we made exhaustive searches to determine which Air Conditioning manufacturer provided the most reliable product. Opinions varied, and reveiws showed many if not all manufacturers had less than 50% satisfaction from Customers. Somewhere during this process it became clear that the focus needed to be more on who was going to be doing the installation and servicing of the unit rather than the manufacturer. After identifying several local options, bids were solicited from several companies. We received formal presentations with bright colorful pamphlets, marketers with "hard data", and the low tech "napkin" bid. But the one that stood out was David White. This was the sole owner of his company, taking the personal interest to meet his potential Customer and assess the job. We found that substance is more important than form to David. Several options were discussed for manufacturers, and David gave us a bid on the work we requested, including the new A/C & Furnace system, as well as installation of a Whole House Fan. After being selected for the job, once again David showed his commitment to the Customer by arriving on-site with his team for the beginning of the installation. His employees were polite and respectful, and most important very confident and professional in their work. The old A/C and Furnace were removed and trailered before I knew it; new refrigerant lines installed, ductwork inspected and sealed/repaired as necessary, new units dropped in and hooked up with care and efficiency. As the owner, David's not on-site continually, but he returned throughout the job to check on progress and ensure our satisfaction. We were totally pleased with the installation of the new A/C and Furnace, and the Whole House Fan. While it has only been 3 weeks, performance of the new equipment has been great, better than expected. David, now no longer a surprise, has checked back with us to see how things are working out and to let him know if we need anything. And by the way, David is providing two years of warrantied service to go along with the manufacturers warranty of the equipement.
