We started working with Roo's in March. They came out and told us that our AC unit was working and nothing needed to be repaired. This is after we had another company come out and tell us that the evaporator coil was broken. We contacted Roo's because they are a Lennox specialist. Our unit stopped working in July and we contacted them about getting our AC repaired. John N. came off as helpful and responsive to our concerns and said he was going to come out on Monday. Monday comes and we get a phone call saying that he looked over the report from the last time someone came out and that he could tell the evaporator coil was indeed broken. He sent an estimate for what that was going to cost to get fixed. While on the phone with him we told him that we thought the motor on the unit might be broken as well and that we would like him to come out and check on that so we could get everything fixed at once. He stated that it wouldn't be necessary for him to come out and that it could be worked out when he came on Wednesday to repair the unit. Wednesday comes and John N. sends two technicians but doesn't show up himself. They finish the evaporator coil repair and try to turn on the unit. The motor is indeed broken. John N calls and lets me know that we have to wait two more days for the part and that it is going to cost extra money. Mind you all these parts are under warranty. I tell him that I think extra cost should not be put on my family because of mistakes the company has made up to this point. I call the office upset that now I have to wait two more days for the repair and this is after I asked John N to come out and check this specific part that ended up being broken. All of this after I had someone come out in March and told me everything was fine. I ask to talk to the owner and get told he will contact me. I have to call again the next day and still don't get in contact with the owner. I am told that the company wants to make this right for me. Friday comes and a new technician is scheduled to come out, John Y. He is friendly and gets to work. He finishes up and gives me the total bill which includes labor for the motor. I tell him that I don't feel like this is making things right and that someone had told me that I wouldn't be charged for that when I called the day prior. He calls the manager and I finally get to talk to him. I explain everything that has happened and he initially offers me a discount. I tell him that I don't feel like this is fair compensation for all the stress I have been through. I had to find someone where else to stay for 3 extra days because of a lack of communication due to his employees. He tells me that he is going to get to the bottom of the situation and will call me back. He calls back shortly and tells me that he recognizes all my concerns and that he is going to take off the charge for the labor for the motor. I really appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns and feel like he did right by my family. I will continue to use this company to do check ups and repairs because I appreciate that while mistakes were made, in the end they did right by their customers and took ownership for it. read more

I requested service on our air conditioner. A technician came out that day and did a thorough inspection. He shared photos of everything - revealing a need to purchase a new unit. The technician gave us a complete estimate and waited patiently while we considered options. No pressure whatsoever. Almost a month later we hired Roos. Our job was not an easy one as we changed over to electric from gas. The workers arrived on time and dressed cleanly. As the men were working I called in and asked for a quote for changing out our second unit. The owner came to the house and gave me a quote in person. We signed off and by the end of the week we had two beautiful new systems. This was the most professional group I've ever come across. Not only that, we got a smoking deal! What a value! It's December and our home is omce again being heated by space heaters. A couple of weeks ago Ruben finally sent someone over to fix the damaged ceiling caused by the leak that was caused by the installation of the unit. Had a guy come out because our ac wasn't blowing air. He was up there for maybe a few minutes before he came back down and said it was the blower motor. He said he could do a patch job for 700 or fix it for 1700. He warned us that it may only last a day or it could last a year. Desperate to not let our dogs over heat we took the patch job. Less than 24 hours later it went out and not its not blowing cold air but it's blowing hot air. So 700 dollars for it to not make it through the day and it seemed like the worker just jumped the system. For the worker to only be up there for less than 3 minutes and diagnose like that, something ain't right. Way overpriced. read more

My experience with Roos has gone down significantly since my initial experience. I've been paying for their yearly service checkups but the amount of time they spend on the service has gone down and they are no longer cleaning the coils like they were. This year after replacing a capacitor three times, twice for failure and once because it was "out of spec," I decided to replace my entire unit. I wasn't able to get Roos to give me a quote for some reason but I decided to write this review when another vendor who was just there to give me a quote cleaned the coils and I got significantly better performance out of my old unit. Roos supposedly cleaned them two months ago. I really like the service I got from the owner but as they have grown I don't think he was able to keep up the quality of service provided by newer employees. read more

Called Roo's on a Wednesday with AC issues; Ruben was out within a couple of hours. Our unit was older so replacing parts was not logical and we opted for a whole new energy efficient split system. Do not use them! Techs came and did the work for my AC without authorization or signing anything. Came inside and said $500. I told them to take their part out and leave. Paid the $65 service fee, got no receipt. Called the office and spoke with Jason the dispatcher who took my original call and explained what happened. Said The Owner Ruben wanted more information which I gave. Said he would call me back. Now they blocked my number. If they will burn you for $65, they will burn you for more. I had an issue with other companies coming out and telling me they couldn't help with working through my home insurance to get my AC fixed, they also wanted to charge minimum $100 to come out and just look at the AC when I had already payed $170 for other companies to come out from my home warranty just to say it wasn't covered. Roo worked with me and my home insurance and came out same day with no charge for the estimate! I couldn't have picked a better company to work with. July 4th, 2024 heatwave ROO's AC goes above and beyond, and they are my new permanent AC service. On July 4 at 2pm, the outside temp was 108° and one of my ac's stopped working. By the evening 111°, and miserably hot inside.  I had a very bad experience with Lee's AC (upsale, false broken parts claim, etc), so I researched others, and ROOs had all positive reviews across Google, Yelp, Nextdoor, etc.  I sent an email asking them to contact me to arrange an AC diagnosis in the next couple of days.  Within 15 minutes,  Ruben (ROOs AC owner) called and said that he wanted to schedule an appt. tomorrow morning. I was blown away because it was a major holiday, he was at a party but still taking the time to ensure any clients, including new ones (me), are taken care of.  My appt was for 9 AM, but I said that if somebody else calls up and they don't have any AC, please take them first. At 8:45am, ROO's arrived, and it's Ruben (owner). He fixed within 20 minutes and suggested I sign up for the membership plan where they come 2x year for service maintenance. 15% discount and priority service.  I immediately called, and I feel so blessed.
