My AC went out during this crazy heat wave and instantly I was freaking out. This happened on a Sunday night and after frantically calling HVAC companies, with no immediate availability for that night or in the morning, I reluctantly called Lee's. They had someone available and at my door by 9am the next day. Gabriel Gonzalez was the technician and he was fast, friendly, and diagnosed my issue quickly. My unit was only 7-years old, but capacitor had gone out. Gabriel stated usually the capacitor goes out due to power surges or high amps being sent to the capacitor. Based on the age of the unit (2019 being relatively new) he suggested a servicing in the near future for a full diagnostic to determine if there's an bigger issue. Since newer units don't normally need to replace the capacitors. He also cleaned my entire AC unit and stated everything looked and sounded great. Our a/c went out on Sunday, Jonathan and Eugenio from Lee's were at my house on Monday at 8am. Long story short we had to replace everything due to lack of maintenance (our bad) and age of unit. Jonathan and Eugenio worked their butts off for two and a half days in triple digits going from inside to outside all day. I'm sweating just thinking about the valley heat. Ugh We could not be happier with the service and the excellent customer service from Jonathan and Eugenio. I highly recommend Lee's if you're ever in a situation during a friggin heat wave with the humidity. ps: Lee's also provided two portable a/c units while installing new system. pps: we received three quotes. We recently received a post card from Lee's advertising a $99 service special. We decided to take advantage of the offer. When the technician arrived he did a cursory examination of our system, both outside and in our attic. He then broke the bad news. One of our a/c units was bad and needed to be replaced. When I asked what the cost was, he told me he had to get his supervisor to come and talk to us. The supervisor was only 15 minutes away. When the supervisor, Juan, arrived he told us that, yes, the a/c unit was failing and would need to be replaced. Here's where it got strange. Juan's written estimate was not on an official form, but on a lined legal pad. And the estimates were for between $23k and $28k, each, to replace the units. Needless to say, this was unexpected. The a/c units have been working fine, I was only requesting the annual service. So, we decided to hold off and obtain a 2nd opinion. Guess what? Everything Lee's told us was refuted by the 2nd company. A comprehensive exam was performed and the technician said everything was working as it should and within the recommended parameters. Lee's had absolutely lied to us and tried to sell us an unnecessary replacement! Now, I'm not telling you this to discourage you from using them for your needs. But beware. I will never use, or recommend, them to anyone. read more

Do not use them unless you decide to replace a brand new system. My A/C stopped blowing cool air. Paid for diagnostic fee for them to tell me that my system is too old and not worth to fix it because it's too expensive to do so. It's better to get a new system. I found another place and they found two minor issues, capacitor and leak of Freon. They fix it and now my A/C works again and no need for a quote of over 10k system read more

My experience mimicked Chuck M from 1 year ago. $99.00 postcard, inspection done and information given that was false. I was told since I got such scary and negative news I wanted a quote on replacing unit and would get a phone call in about an hour. Ten minutes later a guy was at my door with his "lined notepad" and wrote down three makers with the highest being over $30,000 dollars and then was stared at as if expecting me to jump and say YES! I was traumatized over the state of my unit. The house was built in 2014 btw. My second opinion happened today and nothing was as they said EXCEPT they hadn't cleaned the coil in front of the compressor!!!!! My unit is fine! Will never use Lee's again!!! They take advantage of seniors and try to scar them into replacing their products with knew one, telling the the have a fire hazard and carbon monoxide leak.and not giving them the option to shut it off and get a second opinion. The unit they said was going to catch the house on fire has been running just fine .and the year before they said it should be replaced as well, I was their and got a second opinion and it was perfect except for a loose wire. read more

I would not recommend Lee's. I had a technician walk in my door and tried to convince me that a replacment for a traditional water heater would be over $2000. Lee's Air came out to do maintenance check on 12yr unit. Told us we needed whole new unit for just shy of $30,000. Yes $30,000! The two service techs were very nice but if this is how they work I would never refer them for a job. Upsell crazy! Another AC company is repairing parts for under $1,000. Do not, do not, do NOT, use Lee's for any thing you need at your house! I had a leak on my roof, which is a 10 year old tile roof. The valley flashing got clogged due to dirt and leaves, and the water was flowing over the flashing and worked its way into a nail hole into my ceiling. This is not an uncommon occurrence, and it happened at the house I used to own as well. I received quotes and bids to fix the problem, and they were all within $1,200 and $1,800 to pull the tile up up, clean the flashing, lay down new felt, and reinstall the tiles. However, here comes Lee's, who I had called based on their good reviews. The roof inspector said that they will not be able to repair the leak, and that they would only be able to replace the entire sides of my roof that met to create the valley. He said that this would cost just under $15,000, but he gave me a second option of replacing my entire roof at $68,000. This is a massive up sale and frankly borderline criminal. I have the emails and quotes if anyone wants to see them. At the same time my parents had a leaky faucet and unbeknownst to me had called Lee's to fix it. They are elderly and frankly don't know predatory practices by repair companies. Lee quoted them a price of $700 to replace a leaky kitchen faucet. I found out they had called them, canceled their plans, bought a new Kohler faucet and replaced it at cost of under $100. Lee's is predatory, and frankly should be investigated. I do not recommend this company at all. They try to take advantage of people who don't know anything about air conditioning. Over a year ago I had lee's come out and the technician was a very nice guy no problems with his personality. He checked the furnace in the attic and the ac unit on the side. He then comes to me and asks about whose house it is and I tell him my boyfriend and I and we are only 21 and we live alone. This happened when we were 20 years old. He quoted me $20,000 because my entire ac unit "needed replacing" as he said. I asked him if he has photos of what needs replacing he provided super blurry non specific photos on his iPad that I wasn't even able to see anything from. Also the frion level was super low and I did not go outside with him go check that, but I had previously checked in about a week before that and it was not that low.. not sure if he let some out or what happened there. But $20,000 was way too much for us go spend on a new ac as we just moved into our new house. So I called JC Melton AC and they came the next day and fixed the problem for $600. It's been over a year we've gone through 2 seasons of summer and 1 of winter and had no problems. read more

Bad service: unprofessional and inconsiderate. I very clearly and patiently had asked for someone who was skilled enough to install their IQair home filtration units and they sent someone who had no experience with it and wasn't even sure they carried IQair and, as expected, he couldn't determine whether my home was suitable. He apologize and said he was supposed to have the company followup to send in a senior technician, which they did not do. I called a couple days later to schedule an appointment and I told them I am available the following days. Instead of letting me know the day before so I had time to confirm, that early Saturday morning they called to schedule the appointment and showed up the very same morning a couple hours later - without me even consenting to the appointment or having a reasonable amount of time to confirm. Then that same day I called and expressed my frustration and made an appointment for a couple days later. No one showed up and when I called they said they had no record of the appointment. I tried explaining to the customer service manager what happened and she wouldn't acknowledge what happened until I recalled events at least 3 times with her. She finally admitted only 1 mistake which is that they didn't send me a text confirming my appointment to my phone number, despite having it on record, for the Saturday appointment. The rest she didn't even acknowledge and this is supposed to be the expert on customer service. This is not how you deal with other human beings, but I guess this is what passes for a customer service manager these days. read more

My AC unit stopped blowing cold air, so I looked up Lee's for an appointment and there was nothing for five days. However, I did receive a call and was able to get scheduled the next day. That was one of the better parts of my experience. The next day, my technician Jorge came and was very professional and informed me of the issues to why it wasnt working. Next, came the worst part of my interaction the pricing for service. I was quoted at over $700 to replace a less than $20 part that took me only 10 mins to replace myself which fixed it. And even with that they told me if that didn't fix it it would be an additional $600 plus charge to put in an hard start kit which is also a less than $20 piece of equipment and very simple to install. In response to what was thought to be a failure of our newly installed HVAC system, we called Lee's. Although it was believed to not be a failure, Keri decided there was a need to send 2 techs to analyze the system performance. Once Orlando (2nd visit to the house) and Timothy arrived, we exchanged pleasantries, and they went to work. Their analysis yielded the existence of some wiring inconsistencies that were adversely affecting system performance. Relocating the zone control board, and correcting the wiring inconsistencies solved the problem. This was Lee's at their best, and restored our confidence in their cutomer service. BEWARE OF LEE's!!!! They Over-promise & UNDER deliver!!! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing! They never show up for their service appointments on time & blame the computer system or an office person for the misunderstanding! They'll send out Justin Howard as the "good cop" to patch things up & he'll promise the moon but has NO Authority to deliver. He's related to the owner & doesn't understand the technical issues...and he'll 'forget' he said whatever he promises. They up-sell you & then their products are faulty & not reliable, as well as their employees! Be careful, they enter your home & you don't know who they are because they send someone else out to come in! It took the 7 days to install an air conditioning unit(s)...due to their mistakes, they ultimately installed 3 different units in that time. I'd give them NO STARS if I could!! read more
