10 years ago I was referred to R U Tattooed to get my first tattoo because it was known as a Christian Shop and their work was among the best in the city. I dropped by the shop and knew right away that I had come to the right place. Chicago was extremely helpful and referred me to Baby Tim, who worked extensively with me to come up with an amazing Christian-based piece. The day of my appointment, the entire crew made me feel welcomed and after wrapping up my piece, we all sat around telling stories and laughing. They invited me back anytime and I took them up on it. I now have two sleeves, a complete back piece, pieces on both legs and two on my chest. One of the Christian pieces on my leg recently won "Best in Show" at a convention, beating several other shops in Colorado Springs and Denver. I know the quality of their work, the quality of their shop and the quality of their characters. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on me. They are friendly, welcoming, caring people who volunteer in the community and bend over backwards to work with customers of all backgrounds. Come by any day of the week and you'll find a melting pot of society getting new work, renewing old work, discussing new pieces and many times, just hanging out. I got a few tattoos at this shop a few years back. To begin, all of the tattoos I got there needed touch ups and still, to this day, look like a cheap shade of blue instead of the black they're supposed to be. The last straw with this shop occured when I made an appointment to have another tattoo done by Baby Tim. He reluctantly made me an appointment, breaking their "we do any tattoo" claim on their website, and I went about my way. When I finally returned for my scheduled appointment, Baby Tim had had a change of heart telling me he couldn't do the tattoo because he didn't agree with the content. For reference, the tattoo was the Jesus fish with the word Satan written on the inside, signifying that in all good things there is bad. Nothing incredibly offensive unless you're a pompous, over zealous tattoo artist that puts themselves and the shop on a pedestal. Baby Tim sent me on my way that day, refusing to do the tattoo. I never returned, advise everyone against the shop and its artists, and will always recommend other tattoo shops over R-U Tattooed. If I could give them zero stars, I would do it. The ONLY shop to go to in CO Springs with excellent artists and a great atmosphere. I can't say enough good things about RU Tattooed!! Three years ago I moved here and began looking for a shop who could reproduce my artwork on me. I visited several of the 'popular' ones around town that co-workers had recommended but was not impressed nor comfortable with the atmosphere. I stumbled upon this shop on my way home from searching one day and decided to drop in. They gentlemen there were very pleasant and listened to my inquiry. They gave great suggestions as to how they would accomplish the intricate work I needed done. Two months later, I made my first appointment and have been coming to these guys ever since!! I highly recommend R U Tattooed. Any one of their artists are fully capable to any style, any design, and they are reputable and clean. Can't beat their prices either. I have known Baby Tim since my son went to high school with him, and it has been my extreme pleasure to watch his talent only get bigger and better. All of my work is done by him, and I would not go anywhere else. He has never disappointed me and far exceeded my expectations, every single time. Daniel Lange is the absolute, hands down, best tattoo artist in the State of Colorado! Not only does he listen to what you're expecting, but if there is something in the design that won't work well, he is not afraid to tell you. He wants your art to be as beautiful as you do!! He takes the time to really hear your ideas and make it a reality. I get compliments on my tatt constantly! He is so incredibly talented and can create using any style. Do yourself a favor and ask for him when booking your tattoo. You'll have to wait a bit, though...word is getting out on how epic he is and there is about a 6 month wait for an appointment. I'll be honest. I am a complete sissy when it comes to needles. But I've always loved tattoos, their representations, and having a love of art has always meant a lot to me. My first tattoo experience with a different company went awful. I sought out RU Tattooed from a close friend Anna (whom works there) and she referred me to Baby Tim. He tattooed my dog's paw print as a memorial on my foot, and it was beautiful. He was curious, gentle, and since this was a sensitive area, made sure to check up on me and see how I was doing. Out of the handful of places I've gotten tattoos done at, this shop surpasses those by far. Very professional, easy to work with, friendly, and the tattoo is my favorite. My sister and I went in last year with a few ideas and a bunch of printouts, and James helped us put together a completely original design that we both loved. I'm from Maine and was in Colorado visiting my sister (turns out our artist was a fellow New Englander!), but James told me anytime I was back in the area to come in for a touch up. I got my first tattoo ever 11 years ago by BabyTim an at the same time my father had Chicago do his tattoo. Loved them. We returned the next year to get another and I got another the following year. BabyTim has done beautiful amazing work that has had a lasting effect on my life. I moved to Arizona where I went through a rough patch and when I finally picked myself up I drove 12 hours to Colorado Springs just for him to give me a tattoo that I will forever cherish. Tattoos are ways for us to tell a life story. It's awesome to find an artist who takes the time to listen to you and draw up exactly what you want. I feel like their number one goal is customer satisfaction. The atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming. Once you get one tattoo from here, you always want to come back for more! I've been tattooed twice at R U TATTOOED and I can honestly say that the artwork is tremendous, the staff is down to earth and genuinely love their craft, their clientele, and each other. Amazing tattoo shop. It's very clean, everyone there is super friendly, and I love coming here to get work done. Inkie does an amazing job. I bring something into him and he goes above and beyond. My husband and I have had many tattooes done by Baby Tim at R U Tattooed over the years including a memorial tat for 7 friends who died in a horrible accident. I find the shop to be extremely clean, friendly, & professional. I love the attention to detail from Tim & how he listens to my ideas around how I wish the tattoo to look. I have recommended many friends to the shop & Tims work & they have been thrilled with their new ink. As long as I live in Colorado I will never be tattooed by anyone else. He is worth every penny! I don't normally write reviews unless I'm really impressed. Baby Tim is incredible! He's done 3 of mine and 2 of my husband's. I love how relaxed and accepting this place is. They have great morals and high standards. They're honest and up front about how things will look. Which colors aren't going to show up (I have darker skin) and they customized an otherwise very common piece. Everyone told me I'd need to book a follow up appointment for touch ups but almost 2 years later and the colors are just as bright as I remember them! Thanks for the great artwork. read more

This is one of the only places I'll let tattoo me in Colorado Springs. My family has been coming here for years and have gotten amazing pieces. I personally have been worked on by James and Baby Tim and highly recommend them both. I also went to high school with the apprentice, and can say that she is already a fabulous artist! Out of the dozen shops or so I have been tatted at across the US, this shop is by far the best. Inkie is my guy, but the whole shop is nothing but amazing. The owner, Chicago, always smiles and says hello when I walk through the door. The atmosphere is fun and light and those guys never, ever judge by who you are, the way you look, or the tattoo you're getting. This is an amazing tattoo shop! I have had most of my tattoos done here and they are incredible!! James is an awesome artist and did each one of my tattoos unique. I got a tattoo like most 18 year olds do and regretted as I got older. He helped me design a cover up and did an amazing job on the tattoo! All of the staff are super sweet and polite. R U Tattooed is a great shop. They are friendly and their art work is incredible. When I went to the shop for the first time Tim welcomed me in like an old family friend. It is the only shop for me and my family. My wife has had her work done there. I go there to just hang out and talk with the guys at the shop. I have recommended many now customers to them.
