This was truly an experience, and unlike any other dentist office I've been to. I'm currently traveling across the country with my family in an RV. This has made my ability to schedule and attend doctor's appts more challenging than usual. I was also worried I wouldn't receive the same care level, as I'm typically now a "one-time" patient. This fantastic group of individuals removed all my worries and anxiety. They were kind, empathetic, respected my situation, and offered what I knew was the utmost care and treatment. I had such a great experience with both, the front office personal and hygienist. I have just moved states and haven't been able to have a set dentist provider in 3 years since moving to Georgia. I have forgotten my wallet when first coming to the appointment and Veronica did such a great job in helping me regardless of my situation. If I can give this location 0 stars and still be able to make this post, I would. But 1 star it is, because someone needs to know how terrible this practice is. I have never felt more taken advantage of in a situation. Dr. Akbar and her team literally told me everything I wanted to hear so I could sign off on a surgery and take my money. For my last couple of appointments, Dr. Akbar and multiple hygienist were very pushy about getting my wisdom teeth extracted very soon. Every appointment, the receptionist always tried to go right into scheduling. Even after telling them numerous times I wasn't ready to schedule. So my last appointment, 3/8/22, the hygienist and doctor were very adamant about getting my teeth extraction. They barely checked my teeth or my gums before insisting on the wisdom teeth extractions. The receptionist even came in to schedule my extraction that very day, pushing that i need to get my wisdom teeth as soon as possible. I told them I couldn't get a ride that day, but I can schedule it for the following week if I would be able to go to work the next day, since My work schedule was already made. The receptionist said that I would be good to go, and I could easily go to work the next day, and immediately asked how I could pay. She broke down the cost, and let me go. On the day of the surgery, there was an extra cost of laughing gas that wasn't in the initial break down. I payed, and then I went to the back to the most painful experience of my life. While they were putting the laughing gas on, one of the hygienist asked if I wanted a doctors note, to which I asked if I needed one. They told me I would be able to go back to work. The hygienist looked at me crazy and said I'm gonna need one. So I'm crying throughout the whole surgery because I was lied to, everything hurt so bad because they were literally splitting my teeth to get them out, and no one in that dental studio had my best interest at heart. All they wanted was my money, and it freaking shows. It honestly feels like malpractice, and I would hate for anyone to suffer like I did, financial, physically, and emotionally. Don't go to Dr. Akbar at the RA Dental Studio. read more

Cannot verbally express how happy I am with my visit today at RA dental studio with Dr. Akbar. I had excruciating wisdom tooth pain over the weekend and called first thing Monday morning to get an appointment. I spoke with Veronica at the front desk and she was able to get me in immediately to see Dr. Akbar. Upon arrival, Veronica at the front desk greeted me so kindly (and with a beautiful smile may I add) by my first name. Dr. Akbars assistants, Chardonnay and Jasmine, assisted me and did my x-rays prior to my exam with Dr. Akbar. Dr. Akbar was able to perform the wisdom tooth extraction immediately, the numbing was flawless, I didn't feel a thing. Chardonnay numbed me up amazing with the pre-numbing topical to the point I didn't feel any of the numbing injections from Dr. Akbar. Throughout the process Dr. Akbar was quick and efficient, very cordial, gentle, and nurturing. Jasmine was sweet and assisted Dr. Akbar well during the extraction, and provided after care directions for me. Kayla, at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in assisting with finances. Dr. Akbar provided the plan and extraction at a very reasonable price and I am very happy I chose RA dental studio and Dr. Akbar as my new dentist. RA Dental Studio is not my regular dentist, but I was visiting family. Im not from GA so I was pretty lost. I had a temporary crown and it had popped out and was causing me discomfort. First impression- the building is beautiful and the lobby is so welcoming. I was offered water, tea and coffee and even directed to a small area that had snacks. I did not partake -- as my wait was pretty quick. RA if you love in the area! I was seen by Dr. Akbar and I appreciate her patience and humor. My situation was a mess (ha). I've been going to RA Dental studio for over 2 years now and have nothing but the best experiences while there. Dr. Akbar is a true professional. Prior to Dr. Akbar and her wonderful staff- I always felt that Dentists were trying to "sell" me procedures that I may not have needed. Gratefully this is not the case with this practice. I've had extensive work done to fix other dentists mistakes and the pricing is always fair. Their financial department has also been extremely kind in working with me when I've had financial lulls due to the pandemic. They don't hound you for payment and always work with you. I have to get deep cleanings annually and the hygienists are always gentle and thorough. And everyone there is just so friendly! It makes the anxiety of dental work so much better when you know that the staff genuinely care about their work and their patients comfort. read more

Office amenities are nice with snacks and chapstick. Prices are very high. I was not pleased. I was given one fee then charged another that maxed.my insurance and care credit. I had gone for some work previously and they of course up-sold "preventative work" which wasn't even necessary after I had gone to another dentist for a second opinion. I had only gone to another dentist after they none stop called me to reschedule and come in for appointments and they sent letters constantly trying to get me to come in for a over priced "plan of treatment". Now most people don't check their insurance and see what they are being charged... this dentist was giving me a proposal with one version of numbers verses what they were actually sending in to my insurance company. It's a total scam and I really only found this out when I became curious as to why I had "credit" on my account. It wasn't a credit it was just my money they owed me because they over charged me and didn't bother to run my insurance. I was told by the women who does billing that my insurance didn't cover what I was having done when clearly they did. I will never come back to this dental office and I truly wish they'd stop sending letters to my house. I only got the calling to stop when I changed my number. read more

I went here to see if I could get an affordable crown and sedation for cleaning and the crown work. The people where friendly and the place was very nice. However, it was obvious they focused on collecting money for cleaning my teeth and X-rays covered by my insurance. I was prodded into a cleaning that was both painful and uncomfortable. After all this I was presented with a price that was almost 2x more than what my previous dentist charged. I will not return. read more

I did have some work done last spring because my previous dentist missed a HUGE cavity under an old crown that she found. As bad as it was I don't know how my other dentist missed it. The Dentist I had retired and RA Dental Studio called and asked if I would be interested in trying out their services. I found it was the best thing I ever did! Have been going to seem them ever since. Yes, I have a mouth full of crowns and even a implant which Dr Akbar did herself. Have no interest in going anywhere else. They always ask what time works for me and then find a date that the time I'd like is open.
