These guys took care of it instantly. Three days later, I was having some bake issues and within an hour of drop off, one of their lead techs was already on the phone with Sram having a replacement overnighted. Things have changed at Pedego Bend…read more.. I've purchased bikes from this store in the past and was pleased. But now ~ A very disappointing experience with them involving a Marketplace ad placed by the owner's son. A Pedego Ridge Rider was advertised for $850 as "used -- like new" and "ready to ride." The ad specifically referenced the downtube battery. I responded to the ad prepared to buy the bike for the advertised $850. Then the story changed... The bike had NO battery. It also had NO controller. In other words, the "ready to ride" electric bike being advertised wasn't actually capable of being ridden as an electric bike. To me, this felt like a classic bait-and-switch. I wasn't asking for a special deal. I simply asked them to honor their own advertisement -- sell me the bike for the advertised $850, complete with the correct battery and controller that would make it "ready to ride" as advertised. They wouldn't do it. What makes this even more concerning is that after they were made aware that the advertisement was inaccurate, they allowed the ad to remain up unchanged... continuing to advertise the bike as "used -- like new" and "ready to ride." At that point, it's difficult to chalk it up to a simple mistake. When a business -- advertises something one way, acknowledges that what is actually being sold is materially different, refuses to honor the advertised description, and then allows the inaccurate ad to remain posted... buyers deserve to know about it. My advice? Buy somewhere else. Bend has plenty of other e-bike shops competing for your business. I'd rather spend my money with a business whose conduct gives me confidence in their integrity and in what they're telling me.

My BF bought a brand new bike from them and from day one had shifting issues. He kept taking it…read moreback and they "adjusted" it for him, only to have the problem continue. Multiple times back, never fixed the problem. The last time they tried to upsell him a whole new drivetrain for $1500. Took it to another shop in town, and they said derailleur was grossly out of alignment and wore out his chain and cassette. So basically PB was gaslighting BF for 2 years saying nothing was wrong when the bike was set up like trash from day one. Obviously they are not competent mechanics or they would have fixed this immediately. Instead they just wanted more parts business by letting him destroy his bike.
