We were at the Race Trac on , 28 street N , and 22nd Ave N , St Petersburg Fl , around noon, while my husband was pumping gas , this guys , maybe in his 30's , comes bringing with him a new employee and training her , while all the other pumps were available, he brings this women to our pump, with no mask , push my husband away without apologizing, nor asking if it's ok to interrupt him , I was in the car with couple of dogs , they all started barking , and my little one already sick start coughing, that ten minutes was a disaster for me. They walked away when he was done , and again without apologizing, I don't know who will hire such a personality ( I think I saw him getting into pick up car with a Texas plate ) , he was a Narcissistic, Egoistic, disrespectful , and he needs the training.before training anyone else , specially they're were both without masks , and my husband, middle age men wearing mask and has a heart problem... I work an evening shift and often find myself needing to fill up late at night. I like this station because its on my way home from work and it seems to be a meeting place for the St. Pete Police. They are usually there refilling their coffee and standing by their cars talking about cop things. This is reassuring for young gal getting gas in the wee hours of the morning with all the things that go bump in the night. So If you find yourself needing to fill up at 3am and want to hobnob with the local popo, this is the place to go. read more

"Our Trip to St. Pete" We were on our way to Mazzaros and needed to buy a cooler and some ice, for the anticipated refrigerated items we would buy - meat, cheese, etc. We found what we needed, at a TERRIFIC price! This is the best place you can fill up in St. Pete. If your looking for the best convenience store selection, you should check out the Rally's in South Pasadena. But other than selection inside, Racetrac takes the cake. They have the friendliest staff that I have ever seen working at a gas station, ever. Even when someone leaves, and another employee starts, they still are so friendly. They always make comfortable conversation, and look clean, and keep the store clean. While Rally's might have a better overall selection, there are still some really awesome things to choose from at Racetrac. For example, they have Dr. Pepper Slushes that are so awesome, especially with a little blast of Cherry Bomb Slush. Racetrac is always well stocked (except for a little lapse about 2 weeks ago). They always have the Starbucks Doubleshots that we crave. It does get a little crowded sometimes, but the staff are always quick to recognize and open up a new register. I find myself inside this Racetrac at least 5 days a week. I drive past many other gas stations to get here, even when I am really low on gas... or I fill up early, just because I am driving by. read more

Apparently, the night shift manager Tracy, has been charging people $.40 extra for nachos every time they came in for the past five years. On the sign it says that when you purchase nachos for a $1.99, apparently the cheese and chili is free but when you purchase a hotdog and you add chili and cheese to it, it comes for extra $.40 on that price but he's been charging the extra $.40 on the nachos also for all this time that when you buy nachos for a $1.99. The place is awesome for late night munchies. The way I love this place, besides the unusual hiccup that I encounter, is that the service is excellent. The gas prices is always cheap and the wide variety of items they offer, almost rival those of Wawa. No cafe, but they do have foods you can heat up and also roller items for sale. read more

I visit Racetrac on 2227 28th St N in St Pete very often, the workers are always angry, not friendly, they never greet and on. I would suggest the manager carry out educational work with the staff on how to behave with customers. No fun to visit this place. read more
