We went this evening to this location for Wawa Wawa if I was to compare this to something back home in Canada it would be like an On The Run at Esso gas stations that have Tim Hortons that offers coffee, sandwiches, etc. However, here's where they are slightly better than what we have They have self serve coffee....they have coffee stations you can fill your coffee up with and various creamers and milks you can put in your coffee.....I like this option cause if you are needing to get moving and don't have time to wait in a drive thru or a lineup you can just grab your coffee and go ..... They have a self serve food ordering station similar to how Costco has it where you order your food and then grab it from the counter.....I like that as well as it will cut down on time ordering at the counter They have everything you need here from snacks, and drinks to even alcoholic drinks like beer, etc Staff was super friendly here too Overall this gas station chain here has everything you need and I hope their concept of what a gas station should be will rub off a bit more in Canada Fresh donuts and muffins are packaged where you can get them from a self serve station read more

Anyone living in Florida knows that Wawa has invaded Florida with a vengeance, these hybrid C-Stores offer just about everything you need if you're heading to the beach, a park, grandma's or if you're just dropping in too fuel up and grab a cup of coffee. This location is a busy one - most of the fuel islands were filled and front row parking at the entrance was not an option. The exterior was well maintained and the gasoline prices were competitive for the area. The interior is still a mystery to me, I paid at the pump and even got a receipt (not being able to get a receipt at the pump is a systemic in Florida) I sometime feel like it's a stratagem, whatever the issue is it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Wawas are always so funny when it comes to their made-to-order stuff. In this case, I ordered their new pineapple passionfruit refresher. If you look at the advertisement, the drink is supposed to be a sunny yellow. Imagine my shock when it came out looking like iced coffee (who knows what went into it), and it was even more shocking to like how it tasted! The love for Wawa is real. Especially when you don't have them at home. Wawa is a gas station, convenience store, beverage center, sub shop, coffee shop, everything you could possibly need. This location is the perfect spot to stop on the way to the beach! Load up on beer and snacks! The sandwichs, salads, everything is soooo yummy. They have order stations where you can get subs and salads made to order for like $5 - amazing. I had the spicy italian sub the other day and it came with a delicious pepper relish and garlic aioli, fantastic. I like this Wawa. The staff have always been friendly each time I was served. There was one day that I forgot my wallet and they continued to prepare my lunch, saved my food and kept it warm for me until I returned. I really appreciated that. The store is pretty clean and the food is tasty. The gas station itself is usually pretty clean and always has gas. The prices of their gas are competitive to that in the area. So a friend mentioned we should hit up a WaWa when were in Florida. i was skeptical to say the least no? Its a gas station with a mini mart so whats the big deal. Needless to say it was quite interesting. First off the one we went too was huge. It was more of a mashup of a coffee house, deli, convenience store, and gas station. For the food they had an automated kiosk where you place your order for coffee or food, customize it, then pay right there. You get a number and wait. The coffee house: the cold brew was better than starbucks. Strong but not bitter, it hit the spot. My son ordered the breakfast burrito. It was not completely made fresh I am assuming but it was assembled to order and he had no complaints. The convenience store section was typical and had tons of choices. I recently moved from the west coast and this was my first time at a Wawa. I was just expecting a normal gas station, but when I got a Wawa's hoagie, I knew it was far better than any gas station I have been to. I believe I got one of their hoagies called "Triplets" which had chicken steak, beef steak, and ham for the meat plus some cheese. I was able to add lettuce and tomatoes at no extra cost in addition of choosing which cheese I desired. I enjoyed their touch screen system and the general cleanliness of the station. They even have the touch screen soda machines that I have only seen at movie theaters. After I paid at the cashier, my sandwich was ready within five minutes and was only around $6 for the filling sandwich. I split it into two meals. It's a good value in my eyes. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying Wawa sandwiches and going inside the store! I can't wait until my next chance to try one of their hoagies. read more

Went to Bay Pines location to get a sandwich, but the touch screen wasn't cooperating and it found items not selected. Start over with same results. Asked to order with a human, but was refused. I'm a huge fan of Wawa's breakfast items (bagels, Sizzli, breakfast hoagies, breakfast burritos). I especially love the bagels. They are soft and tasty. Unfortunately, like all bagels, they are loaded with calories so I can only eat 1 per week. Once in a while I treat myself to a Sizzli. I like the bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel best because I love Wawa's bagels and I love bacon. This particular location is like all other, the gas pumping area is roomy and clean and the store is roomy, free of trash and bright. The only thing I noticed consistently after a few times of stopping here is that the coffee area and the bakery case could use a bit of tidying up. Nothing is worse than standing in line at subway with that guy ordering 43 subs for the office. Touch screen ordering solves that problem and any possible social anxieties you may posses. Ok so on 09/27 I stopped in to get a delicious stuffed cheese pretzel. I knew how Pinellas County was offering hot food all month for folks with EBT. on 09/28 I stopped in for the same pretzel I had just purchased with my EBT card and I was told that the County does not offer hot food for EBT? is my money not good? as far as I am aware they don't loose any money, also my Girlfriend works for the County and she told me they are supposed to honer the hot food all month long. So Wawa has been open a couple weeks and I finally made a stop in today to check it out. The employees here are super nice and greeted me immediately. After a quick little wander through store I hit up the touchscreen ordering thing for a sandwich and drink. It's a really intuitive system and since I was taking a couple minutes (just to explore the food options), an employee asked if I needed help. I got my ticket, cashed out, and walked over to the counter and my order just came up. I love the system; I don't have to feel bad about holding anyone up, there are multiple stations to order at, and the service was efficient. The sandwich was good with lots of options in the preparation, and my iced coffee wasn't overly sweet. Also, it's relatively cheap, being in the same price range as fast food. It just sucks that it's a little bit of a pain to get in and out of here. Also, the choice in color for the gas prices makes it difficult to read. Hailing from St. Louis (Go Cards), this was our first Wawa visit ever and must admit we were impressed. For the 1 or 2 of you in the Tampa area who have NOT been to a Wawa, here's how it works. Check out the menu on your own and find a kiosk. Tap in your order including all the "fixin's" you want and submit. Pay at the front and then wait for your name to be called. Very efficient and cool setup. We shared a LARGE chicken quesedilla with just about every topping hubby could think to add. It was fresh, hot, cheesy and flavorful. We each had frozen java drinks, his a bit more loaded up with sugary goodness than mine. It was a cheap late lunch after a day of house hunting. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been some inside seating where it was cool, but I can see how that would interrupt the concept. There was seating outside but it was pretty dirty and gross so we just sat in the car, ate our kesa-DILLA and listened to some Journey. While we did not need gas it appeared their prices were pretty good at the pump, too. All in all, we are now Wawa fans! read more

I've been buying gas at Wawa's since the store opened. I was told that they had great food for being a gas station and convenience store. This is mostly been true. I recently bought into the concept of their app to improve my experience. Usually an app that offers the idea of "order grab and go",means it will save you time. With Wawa that is not true. If you order via the app you end up waiting longer at the store to get your order. it should say "order pay and wait" I have use the app on workdays three times and I have been late to work three times. Wawa implemented this program poorly, the staff does not respond to it well but I do get a lot of apologies from the website host and from the employees. The gas prices are great, the food is adequate . The service is marginal. Email I sent to corporate I'm writing this email to tell you that I am disturbed by how cruel your staff is at the 9501 Bay Pines Blvd, St Petersburg, FL 33708 WAWA location. My son and I stopped to get some snacks and coffee, a gentleman was being shouted at by your staff that he didn't pay for his food, he walked out. One of the staff members chased the man down and brought him back in where the man was forced to return his food. As I was at the register the staff member stated "I knew he didn't have the money to pay, I just wanted him to feel embarrassed." This is not appropriate one bit. It is embarrassing enough to steal food, and most people don't steal food just for the fun of it, they steal food because they are hungry. If I had known that this man could not afford his food, I myself would have paid for it, your staff however, felt the need to be cruel and then in response this food will be thrown away because it was a custom order that I presume this gentleman was looking really forward to eating. Is it really so important to embarrass a man for not having money and stealing food from a corporation that makes millions and probably pays staff somewhere near minimum wage? I think not and I think your staff needs some training in compassion. This location is near a VA, there are many homeless and hungry people in this general area, and not to say that this man was a veteran, because I do not know him or his story, but he is still a human, and what your staff did was atrocious and foul and cruel.
