I prefer it over Bella Bagel on Central and Tiki Bagel in St Pete Beach, but it doesn't have an egg if that's your thing, Bella is best for that, but their bagels are far chewier (toasted or not) and not my preference. I do think the 4th St location of St Pete Bagel is ever so slightly better, but this location is great too. Their coffee is great too, and if you want a donut, they have that. They do get busy at times, but they also take phone call ahead. There are multiple locations throughout the county, but the Largo location is our "go-to"! St. Pete Bagel has decent coffee and hearty homemade pastries, fresh bagels, and top tier sandwiches. Just grab a donut, fritter, or pastry and a coffee or; order a custom made breakfast sandwich and you won't be disappointed. The kids absolutely love this place on the weekends. The restaurant dining area has limited space even with a couple tables outside at the storefront, so it is mostly takeout. You may have to wait a bit for service, especially on the weekends, but I insist "it is worth the wait"! The staff is friendly, polite ,and very fast as they seem to have a good time management system to serve their customers. They don't stop there with a multitude of different donuts, breakfast Sammy's, coffee, smoothies, and even a cronut. I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection of food and drink choices in this small cafe. Located near the intersection of 66th Street and 46th Avenue in Kenneth City it specializes in bagels, pastries, sandwiches (regular and specialized) and coffee with a wide assortment of bagel spreads as well as a great selection of syrups for coffee and a wide choice of frappes and smoothies. I ordered a grilled cheese panini on rye which includes a blend of American, provolone and cheddar cheeses and fresh tomatoes. It was done to where the cheese melted smoothly but didn't ooze out. In addition I had a red velvet donut which was moist and very flavorful and a large cup of Colombian Swiss decaf coffee with milk but they carry a great selection of regular strength coffee and espresso, too. I would definitely recommend this place. It has steady traffic throughout the morning with many regulars. For a small establishment they pack a large selection of everything you look for in a great way to start your day. There are no waiters as the menu is posted over the counter at which you order. Once you've chosen what you want you get waited on almost immediately with everything prepared within 10-15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Bagels and homemade spreads are for sale already packaged as are bagel thins and seeds. St. Pete Bagel has a very friendly, down home atmosphere which attracts people of all ages. read more

They have a great selection, they're fast, always have specials going on (free coffee with breakfast sandwich, etc) and I love supporting local business! It passes the "people from New York will order a bagel here" test, which is a pretty strong recommendation in and of itself. All of their bagels are great; I'm not a sweet bagel person, but I love the everything bagel, and if you're in a spicy mood, the jalapeno bagel has a great kick to it. The lox breakfast sandwich is excellent on either one. They're actually overly generous with the cream cheese-- not a bad problem to have. If you're not in the mood for a bagel, there's other options. I got a box of assorted donuts once and all of them were tasty, and pretty to look at, too. I've heard good things about the cronut, the egg breakfast sandwich, and the BLT. And, if you need some caffeine to go with your breakfast, they make a nice cappuccino. Who writes these reviews?? most of the times customers are complaining. For starters, food / coffee is always cold despite sandwiches being order warm / toasted. Order a veggie sandwich and everything in it tasted rotten, bread wasn't fresh, and they make a vague attend to toasted. All 3 coffee pots where cold, and this was around 9am. Wifey and I had been there a couple of times but after these last two stops we won't go there again. According to the employees the equipment that keeps the meats cold is broke. read more
